D J Avast blocks the installation of this program. It says the install file is infected with malware. So not for me until the publisher resolves the matter directly with Avast for I'm not about to override my anti-malware app.

Greg Newell Norton Also flags it. Not a huge fan of PCWinsoft period. ALWAYS issues with installs, registrations and malware / antivirus checkers.

Alex Ferri There is really nothing we can do to keep up with VirusTotal and the anti-virus definitions for viruses. It is an unpleasant situation because when released the build had zero flags and then over time the same build starts raising flags. We don't know how to fight this. So we just make sure to let our customers that the flags are false positives.
Alex Ferri Here is the VirusTotal report for the download:
https://www.virustotal.co.../detection

100% clean and secure.

I just checked and the downloads are being marked because of one particular program. I will have this situation sorted by tomorrow or a couple of days the most.
Anna Schiffer Had to get through two security blocks to install. I got to the registration screen but the code disappeared before I could copy and paste it into the registration box.
Uninstalling.

LTM van Z. First the download is blocked and after a lot of difficult things (too many to mention), at last (finally) the licence key comes and then it is not accepted. Ridiculous!

Alex Ferri If you are requesting the KEY from inside the program on the target PC then the KEY certainly works 100%. So what probably happened is you requested the KEY from one PC or from the control panel using an incorrect HARDWARE-FINGERPRINT. Please retry your KEY request from inside the application on the target PC, or make sure to type the HARDWARE-FINGERPRINT correctly on the control panel. The system of KEYs has being running for many years and it is 100% correct. It is designed to make it easy for the clients like yourself to register the product on different PCs and in case of re-formatting.
Mike Montes I haven't received the reg key. It's been about 2 hours. My email works fine. There is a green bar along the right side that states "Offline". Unable to download the software. Now what?

Alex Ferri If you got the message 'KEY was sent successfully' then the KEY e-mail must have gone to your junk folder. If you did not get this success message then the app is not getting Internet access.

No problem. You can request a KEY via the control panel:
http://www.pcwinsoft.com/.../index.asp

You will need to have the HARDWARE-FINGERPRINT in hands to request a KEY via the control panel.

Run the program, click the Register button, then mark Enter REGISTRATION-KEY, click Next, and you will find the HARDWARE-FINGERPRINT in the middle of the dialog.
Jay Softer Alex Ferri,
Excuse me, but your comment sounds a little odd.

If the registration key is tied to the hardware, how then is it possible to reinstall your software on a different PC in case of reformatting the existing drive?

Alex Ferri You can request KEYs for up to 10 different HARDWARE-FINGERPRINTS.

You follow the same KEY request steps every time you want to request a new KEY either for a new PC or a reformatted one.

The instructions are as follows:

You can request keys from inside the program like in this video demonstration:
http://www.pcwinsoft.com/...gister.asp

Step-by-Step
----------------------------------------
Trial dialog > Click ‘Register’ > Mark ‘Send key to my e-mail’ > Click ‘Next’ > Then enter the e-mail address you used to register > Then click ‘Send’.

The key is sent to your e-mail address.

After you receive the key you go:

Trial dialog > Click ‘Register’ > Mark ‘Enter key’ > Click ‘Next’ > Then enter the key you have received on your e-mail > Then click ‘Authenticate’.
----------------------------------------

Or you can log into the control panel here:
http://www.pcwinsoft.com/.../index.asp

Alessandro Ferri

Mike Montes Checked my SPAM box...nothing. But downloaded the trial version and followed the instructions provided here about the key control panel and now it works! No problems installing. Thanks Alex for responding so quick. Will give this a try.

Alex Ferri Great. Happy to help.
LTM van Z. Dear Alex Fern,

The key (and name) were filled in from Ctrl+C in the e-mail to the field inside the program. I own only one laptop and nothing else. The message was: "Invalid Key". Believe it or not.

Alex Ferri Send me the KEY you have received to support[at]pcwinsoft[dot]com. Send also a screen capture before and after you enter the KEY and click Authenticate.
LTM van Z. Dear Alex Fern,

It's sleepy time, so I'll do it tomorrow.

Alex Ferri OK. We will get it sorted tomorrow then.

Best,
Alex
Jay Softer Alex Ferri,
Thank you very kindly for your explanation.

I thought that one could use, on a new PC, the same key that was used on the reformatted drive.

Cheers,

jay

D J Hooray! Today (unlike yesterday) my AVAST anti-malware allowed the download and installation of this software. I downloaded it again today instead of using the file that was downloaded and subsequently rejected/blocked yesterday by AVAST. Installation was smooth as was the registration/authentication.

Jae Dykes I had NO problems getting it registered. But I've taken advantage of other offers from PCWinSoft. Install exactly as instructed - install, keep program open and click on Register; choose to email online the serial number; the email will show the name you just used to requests the serial number and you enter that AND the serial # they just sent you and register from the same device you just downloaded to and installed on. Works on first try.
