Book lovers, this one's for you.

All My Books will organize your collection and create an online library in a flash. By simply entering the title of each book, the author's name, or the ISBN code, All My Books will instantly fetch a wealth of information about that book from it’s extensive array of internet resources, creating a searchable online database of your collection.

I know what it's like to have more books than you know what to do with. If you're like me, you used to keep a small stack of reading material by your bedside, and as you've moved up through bigger spaces (dorm to apartment to condo to house), your collection has kept pace. You now have a veritable library of literary goodness.

If only you had a database management system for keeping track of your collection, you'd be able to recall the fact that you own every single Orson Scott Card book ever written. Or the fact that your friends have borrowed half of them...

Everything is there - synopses, reviews, binding types, number of pages, even an image of the book's cover. And if you've already made some attempts at organizing your literary mountain, it gets better: All My Books can also import your book list from any text or spreadsheet file.

After the fun of entering your books into the system has ended, the real fun of analyzing your online library begins! You can search for titles, sort by fields, and calculate statistics about your collection - like the fact that over 80% of your books are about zombies! Who knew? Now, you do!

Your friends will be amazed!

Even better, this database management system lets you export your entire digital library to text, CHM, Excel, and even HTML and mobile devices.

Daniel Gaudet I purchased the software a few days ago. I have a few questions:

Can you confirm that the software is licensed per user. In other words, I can install it on multiple computers as long as I am the only user. That's my understanding of the fine print since it is licensed per user.

Is it possible to use a system like Dropbox to synchronize the database between systems? I want to be able to use my laptop to scan most of my books, but I want to use my main desktop to manage the database.

Second, I would like to purchase an iOS version. Will there be a universal version that supports both iPhone and iPad systems at a reasonable cost? I would prefer not to spend $20 for the two apps, iPhone/iPod Touch and iPad. It's more than what I paid for the desktop application.

Thank you all, who purchased the license. Your support is much appreciated. Together we will make All My Books the best book collection organizer ever!

Emil Kucera To Max and all: I am happy to report that I finally managed to import my ~2500 books to AMB; it required changing Excel dates to text and saving the excel file as xls, not xlsx.
And thanks, Max, for your patience and offer to help.

Loco Driver I'd like to tell you what kind of company this is. I purchased version 3.3 way more than a year ago on BDJ but for a number of reasons I never even got the chance to install it! A couple weeks ago I received an email announcing version 4.1 and that renewed my interest in the product.
So I went to their website and explained this on a Contact form. Within hours Max replied. He explained that my original old license keycode would still work on the older version but that I'd need a different keycode if I wanted to update. Then he said the update would be free, invited me to download it and he even included a new keycode for the 4.1 version. Now that's service!
Thank you Max! ! !

Kevin D I haven't ever felt the need to upgrade from AMB and AMM, but I can tell you that Bolide and Max are among the most responsive software vendor that I have dealt with.

CJCotter Umm......the link you provided only is for "lost your registration". I looked all over the AMB website pages and did not see any place where discounts for existing customers is discussed.

Max Smirnoff Yes, it is our automatic registration reminder. When you fill in the form, you'll get your current license details AND discount offer for upgrade to the latest version to your e-mail.

CJCotter Remember Ed Snowden and his Lavabit email provider? I was one of the thousands of people who also had accounts with that company, and got caught in the crossfire between them and the government. Overnight, we all lost our accounts, the one I used to register All My Books. Your web page will have no place to go if I fill it out and send it. Who do I contact next?
Jan 26 2015 at 4:49pm Copy Link
Max Smirnoff Ah, sorry about that. I just added your new e-mail address to that your order and resent the current license details with the upgrade instruction there

Sue Lang I have hundreds- probably well over 1000 - books in my library. I'm not looking forward to typing in all those ISBN numbers to get them into my database. What I'd like to do is just scan them in. Anyone aware of any hardware that will work with AllMyBooks to scan & enter ISBNs?

Fred User Is there a facility in this software to record book borrowers and whether they return the book, like a public library would? Thanks, Fred
Apr 30 2015 at 1:39pm Copy Link
Max Smirnoff Fred, you can press F12 key to mark book as lent/returned in All My Books. Also, the program can remind you when someone forgot to return a book. Loan history is available using menu item "Tools - Loan history"

Gunderic Hagen I had bought collectorz time ago, and proceeded to register my books. I am quite dissatisfied with the software. Their customer service is very good as they will get back to you very fast. The problem is with the functionality of the software, especially the SEARCH option, even with simple things like finding an author.

1) Will I find the same problems in AMB?

2) Is there a way I can transfer all the database to AMB from collectorz? I don't think I would like to do the same registration all over again.
Jul 7 2015 at 12:44am Copy Link
Max Smirnoff Gunderic, you better write to us using official support form:

All My Books have a good search function, you can try it yourself with the trial version.
It is possible to import your exiting database to All My Books, but please write to our support team for the details

Sue Lang Amazon has a free app now that will scan the ISBN code on a book and give you all the information on it. And also take you to an Amazon page where you can buy it, I'm sure. I haven't tried it yet. NOW what I want is a way to use that app to save the ISBN code to my AMB database. AMB will get me the rest of the book details. I'm just still trying to avoid typing all those codes in. Should I hold onto hope?
