Run any Application 24/7!

I know, to an absolute certainty, that there are at least 55,000 people who have more reliable applications than yours, at this very moment. Their applications are constantly up and running, and if they do crash, get automatically restarted without any human intervention. Are these people robots? Do they hold some special clairvoyant power that lets them see when an application fails? Nothing so magical - they just have a copy of AlwaysUp!

AlwaysUp lets you run any application 24 hours a day, 7 days a week as a Windows service, and constantly monitors and manages your application to ensure 100% uptime. With AlwaysUp, your application will start when Windows boots up, and AlwaysUp will automatically restart your application if it crashes, hangs, or uses too much memory. Don't take my word for it - AlwaysUp will keep you in the loop with regular email reports that detail performance, crashes, restarts, and any other important events.

The best part about AlwaysUp is that the program manages your 24/7 application through startup, restarts, and crash recovery without any programming on your part and without any intervention from anyone. This is why AlwaysUp is regarded as a trusted and reliable solution for business both large and small worldwide!

Does AlwaysUp do a memory garbage collection before re-starting?

I assume it will do so, but just want to be sure.

May 17 2010 at 8:18pm
Core Technologies Hi Jim J., thanks for getting in touch.

No, AlwaysUp doesn't do any garbage collection. AlwaysUp itself is quite conservative in its use of memory and is able to run for weeks and months without becoming a burden on the system. With regards to the application being run, Windows is responsible for freeing all its resources when it ends and it will be restarted with a clean slate.

I hope this answers your question. Please let me know if you have any other concerns.

Albert C. Hi. I've seen your website and you have quite interesting products! I'd like to ask you one thing though: do you have any product that can monitor a service and tell it to stop? Thanks a lot for your time!
May 24 2010 at 12:10am
Core Technologies Hi Albert, I am glad that you find our products interesting!

AlwaysUp works with regular, non-service applications, but our Service Protector product is designed to achieve 100% uptime for existing Windows Services.

Service Protector will monitor a Windows Service and stop it if it uses too much memory, hogs the CPU, crashes, or simply stops prematurely. Like AlwaysUp, Service Protector can be extended with your own customized failure detection program that can trigger the service to stop/restart for whatever reason you like.

I hope this answers your question. Please feel free to get in touch with us directly if you would like to find out more about Service Protector.
Albert C. Cool, I'll try Service Protector to see if it meets my needs. Thanks for your tip!

Stan Lewis How long do you need to deliver the licence after purchasing via paypal?
May 24 2010 at 9:47pm
Core Technologies Hi Stan. We aim to guarantee a 1-2 business day response time, but the vast majority of the time we send license information within a few
hours of the order.
Stefan Hauber I just downloaded the trial version on my XP. Unfortunately I there occured some problems...

At first I tried to embed two Delphi/C++Builder-programs of mine. They were located in a substituted drive (SUBST z: d:\MyDir). The result was nothing happened and the AlwaysUp-report sayed Unable to restart the application: Unable to access "Z:\EXE\MyPrg.exe"

Than I tried to use the real-directory instead, i.e. d:\MyDir\MyPrg.exe. This time a software error occured after which AlwaysUp tried to restart the program with the same result. Report now says:
The application has been non-responsive for longer than 1 minute. It will be terminated.

I tried this with two different apps of mine, both written with Delphi/C++-Builder and rechecked, that they do run fine when clicked from within an explorer-window.

Finally I tried another application, a commercial one this time. With it all worked fine and as intended.

Could I have done something wrong. May the cause be that these are Delphi/C++Builder program, which need at startup some DLLs (with extention BPL). Their directory is embedded in the system-path and used automatically when called as .EXE-files from the OS itself.

Of course I would be happy to find out this reason and how to work around it before the offer runs out...
May 25 2010 at 3:17am
Core Technologies Hi Stefan, thanks for trying AlwaysUp, but sorry to hear of the trouble! Our customers run Delphi & C++ Builder apps with AlwaysUp all the time, so we need to dig into the details of your situation.

First, have you seen our FAQ? You may find it useful while troubleshooting common issues:
http://www.coretechnologies.com/products/alwaysup/AlwaysUp_FAQ.html

Second, I would try running in an account that can run your applications normally. Sometimes applications don't like the default Windows Services account. Specify the account details on the LogOn tab when configuring your application:
http://www.coretechnologies.com/images/alwaysup_add_application_dialog_logon_tab_v6.5.jpg

Please let us know how you get on with that. Feel free to send email directly to support@CoreTechnologies.com as well.
Ash Goyal Does this application also reboot the PC if the power goes off? I want to guarantee 24/7 running of the PC after a power failure.
May 25 2010 at 6:30am
Core Technologies Hi Ash, thanks for getting in touch.

AlwaysUp doesn't do any power management. If your PC is set to start up after a power failure, then AlwaysUp simply starts your application as Windows boots up.

I suggest that you take advantage of our free 30-day trial (or 15-day money-back guarantee if you wish to purchase today) to test AlwaysUp in your environment and ensure that it works as you expect.

Hope this answers your question...
Jon Koerner Tried to purchase this but the purchasing page did not work, it hung and would not log me in to paypal.
