Alex Tong AvisMap GIS Engine is the rapid GIS development components. The sample data only have the world map.

You can find free GIS data on the internet. Following are some useful links:

TIGER/Line Data from U.S. Census Bureau : http://www.census.gov/geo/www/tiger/
FreeGIS Database : http://freegis.org/database/?cat=1

Most of these data are shape files format which you can use in AvisMap GIS Engine seamlessly.

Luiz Marques I looked at the samples - it seems ok at the discounted price. Then when I started to fill the form to buy it, I noticed the "Hardware FingerPrint" field.

Personally I avoid hardware-locked development tools whenever possible - I'd rather not have to count on any more companies than strictly necessary (i.e.: Delphi / Windows) to be able to get back to work on a re-install.

Having to rewrite to another component because it's no longer supported is already nasty - suddenly having to do so because of a hardware problem or re-install, and being unable to because of a hardware locked key would be much worse...

Terry Jepson I refuse to develop software on the same computer I use for Internet access. What does hardware fingerprint imply? Does this mean you would require me to develop software on a computer with my smallest monitor that is slowed down by anti-virus and anti-malware software?

Alex Tong Sorry, Terry. I didn't leave a response quickly because of time difference.

Yes, the hardware finger-print means you can only use the license you purchased on one machine at the same time. This finger-print wouldn't change if you re-install the software, re-install the OS, even you change your hard disk.

If you want to use it one another machine just send us an E-mail and promise never use it one the old one. However, if you want to use on two machines at the same time, I advice you buy two licenses.
