Sometimes a backup just doesn’t suit your needs. Take, for example, the situation where you don’t need the very last version of a document, but one a couple of iterations back. Your backup file is useless, it only has the most recent changes! Time to step up your game to today’s discount software promotion, AX64 Time Machine!

AX64 Time Machine is backup and recovery software that lets you restore your PC to an earlier point in time, letting you quickly recover from crashes, viruses, disk failures, and accidental deletions.

You will enjoy the flexibility of AX64 Time Machine, which allows you to restore not only an entire drive, but also individual files and folders. Best of all, you can backup to any type of storage, including internal, external, and networked drives. Backup is automated, so you’ll never forget to do it, and you can even use AX64 Time Machine to keep multiple save points so you can hop back and forth through time!

Steve Hull I just want to say that I have been using this program for around a year and a half and must say that it has proven to be very reliable and has saved my bacon more than once. I was having a lot of problems with my old computer and it took me a while to figure out that it was a questionable mother board. I had to restore my system three times with this program and everything went flawlessly. I have it doing a constant backup and was able to restore it to the latest backup, most of which were less than an hour old. I highly recommend this program, and just to clarify things, I do not work for the people that made this program nor do I know them.

Isso Hi Mario,

Thank you for your feedback. If you have any problems do let me know and simply touch base with us at infoax64.com

That comment on Wilders regarding "alpha" is the only comment of a forum thread of page of over 300 and I feel it is not fair to judge our product on that comment alone. With that said there are complaints occasionally and we do our best to resolve them as fast as possible.

We pride ourselves on our support and many of our users vouch for this too. Unfortunately we can't always be involved in Wilders forums, but we are steadfast with support requests and emails via our site.

For all users, we welcome you to trial our app and if you like it please buy it. Any issues, let us know :)

Stefan Doerr Hi,

sorry to be not clear enough - a four pack client license or a four pack server license?

An additional question - if I backup 4 computers to the same network location - is there something like a deduplication of files available? It would save a lot of space to store files only once to the drive...

Thanks!

Roderick Nicolson Me too. Mine has a conflict with Kaspersky. Have tried all the updates even the back dates without success. It would be good to know if there is any movement on these problems.
Haven't been able to use it since I bought it.

User1 Isso, this looks like a terrific program. The simple registration is a plus for most users.
A couple of questions:
1. As this is a young program still being developed and improved, there is a risk for buyers now if it cannot be updated to the next major revision. It's also a bit pricy to re-buy. How is this being considered?
2. Is restore to smaller or bigger partition now supported?
3. Is restore to empty disk now supported?
4. Is User Account supported?

Thanks, and sorry for all the questions. The answers may be helpful to others also.
This looks like a great program. Looking forward to it.

Roderick Nicolson No help here either. After the initial contact the promise to trouble shoot me has melted into infinity. Very sad because I am left legless. To be fair I was offered my money back but that isn't trouble shooting at it's best. I would much prefer the problem solved. My suspicions are however (as is often the case with software makers) that time can not be afforded to minor issues like mine and moving onwards towards the next goal will rather take precedence.
So, in a nutshell, I think I can expect no development towards a possible solution.

Words are easy said to hide actions unintended.

User1 @ Roderick Nicolson,
It's positive that they offered a refund.
I agree that it's better to have the problem addressed.
Questions I asked in this thread were ignored also, and that was when the vendor was present answering questions. It seems you are correct, that they are too busy, maybe shorthanded, to worry with individual problems.

Zonwas It would be nice to hear the company here or by email, confirming they keep on developing the product. I bought both V1 and V2 here, since I believed in the product and wanted to support them.
Still, it has some important flaws, although it could become a great backup solution. The better beta-version stopped working a few days ago, 3 days earlier then predicted, without warning given nor alternative other then reinstalling the ultimate non-beta V2 :-(
(Isso, still there???)

Dennis Johnson I was interested until reading the last few comments - and not one response from the developer (of late).

@Constantin Florea - I've been a Bitster for years and I know you guys run a tight ship. It's why I buy from here. So why is this offer up if there is nothing visible from the vendor. There's no way anyone who bothers to read these comments would purchase today. But there are too many that don't read comments. Will they simply be victims?

Roger Thomasson Hey folks, best way to access support is through the channels that a vendor specifically sets up on his or her website. Some vendors choose to monitor their BDJ accounts on a regular basis, some do not. The choice is entirely theirs. We don't think it makes a lot of sense to penalize a vendor for wanting to keep all of their support requests centralized.

On that note, here is the appropriate link:

http://ax64.com/uncategor...e-support/

Zonwas @Roger Thomasson

So I left a friendly message on their website AX64.com the day of your message above, asking them about their support, but still haven't received any answer.

I really would have preferred to hear from them, having more then 1 license fo Time Machine. So my faith in the software still being supported by the developers is almost lost. I also believe that if they would be interested to go on selling, they would have answered my message or, even better, those on your website...

All the best,

Eric

Roderick Nicolson My concern, as seems the case with quite a few sellers these days, is that they don't really read carefully enough or sometimes don't read at all our messages sent to them. In your case Isso, you appear to have forgotten what I said, both here and directly to you in my private email. I stated in both that I would far prefer the problem solved; and knowing that you were looking into attempting to solve it would have been music to my ears.
Are you now then saying you cannot solve this problem - since you are asking me if my refund has been processed?

Thank you

Gary Young I don't see the word snapshot being used here as the way backups are maintained, so my question is, does this differ significantly from snapshot software like Rollback Rx?
Jun 19 2015 at 1:45am Copy Link
1
Roderick Nicolson I'm wondering if you have managed to solve the problems yet that some of us as user of AX64 had some time back and which left us ever since unable to use it on our computers?
It feels there has never been any real attempt at continued support but rather, it feels, abandonment.
I suspect you have well and truely forgotten us by now as the promised fixes were never offered.

Isso @ Bob Rait

Thanks Bob, will investigate and get back to you asap. Glad the keys got through to you just fine!

@Gary Young
Dear Gary, we're significantly different from Rollback RX. We're a disk imaging program which allows full disaster recovery, whereas with a snapshot app, if your main disk breaks, you lose everything.

Do check out this objective article on the differences between a snapshot app and ax64:
http://www.bitsdujour.com...ents107662

@Roderick Nicolson
Sorry you feel that way. As you can see from the above comments as well as our main support forum at Wilder's Security, we're very active - particularly recently. Our users are very happy, and for those that have issues, we do our level best to ensure swift support.

Our priority now is releasing the Win 10 version, which will be out before the end of the month.

Thanks Roderick.

rodney User I had installed Win7 on a laptop, I used AX64 V1 (Hate Version 2) to BU her Laptop, to D: BU WIN7 and a few months later my wife wanted to have Win10.

Well I am running Win10 on my PC and had used DriverBooster to update some drivers and it worked without even a hiccup. (usually am wary of these, but my PC is much faster now.

But when I tried the same thing on my wife's Dell laptop I had some driver problems and I could not use sysprep on the laptop because Win10 had gone over the top of Win7.

Well When I tried to use the BU of Win7 made by AX64, it gave me a 0900 error.

So I installed Win 7 using the Win7 disk, and did a clean install, took 15 minutes, then I installed AX64, then when I opened AX64 it asks what drive I want to BU I chose C: Then it as where to save, I chose D:BU Win 7.

Now I close AX64 and reopen it and choose view BU's recover files or entire system, and click OK and sure enough it restored my BU of Windows 7

Hope this helps.. Good luck.

Kelly Hamblin Mine quit working after about a week. I tried various methods of contacting them. FINALLY, I got an answer. I sent then the logs they asked for and sometime later they sent me a different version to install. But the new version didn't work at all. Same old error.

Shortly after that my hard drive died. After the long process of reinstalling Windows and getting everything running, I tried installing the application again. Again, it simply would not do anything, so I uninstalled . . . and now my system is screwed up again.

I emailed them asking for a refund. Surprise, surprise, no response.

RS It appears that all the comments from the last few days have been deleted. This concerns me in that my comments and those of others were largely critical during this period. Yet, I've continued to get notifications of comments and responses. Is this a product of censorship, or a database problem? I was going to respond to the developer's comment, but all have been erased. I would ask the BDJ administrators to restore all these comments.
