VLM I have to share this observation: I always feel suspect when a company's web site tries persistently to put an LSO cookie on my machine. This company's site keeps trying ... and will inevitably fail, of course. But it leads me to raise my eyebrows ... what other privacy concerns should I have about dealing with this company?

This may be due to Flash Demo files in our DesignerVista website.

When I google about LSO cookie, I found the following information.

"With installations of Flash, you get these LSO cookies put onto your PC. The only way to not have them is to not install Flash, which would mean you would not be able to view a large portion of the web. Any website you visit can read the info stored in your LSOs...."

One last (irrelevant) comment to correct a misconception regarding Flash... it is a myth that not having Flash keeps a 'large portion' of the internet unusable. I don't have flash and the vast majority of the internet is accessible. If a website is inaccessible without flash, it is due to the lack of ability of its creator, or his or her sheer laziness. I've been successful in some cases in writing to the company with my complaint and they made it accessible without flash. Thankfully with HTML5 and CSS3, Flash is quickly going the way of the dinosaur for many uses.
