I've tried a few of these programs and this one works flawlessly - in Vista Ultimate 32bit . I'm using it on dual monitors and both change.

* New features, such as 6 desktops instead of 4, 360 degree 3D sky box backgrounds, the ability to have different icons on each virtual desktop, multi-monitor support, and many more.

* Much better performance and stability, and options to drastically decrease memory use.

* A huge number of bug fixes.

Steve James Hi James. Looks interesting. Unusual to find an app like this that also saves icons on a per desktop basis. The only other one is X Desk I believe. Desk Space looks nice. How CPU intensive is it? I work with multimedia and typically require plenty of CPU and RAM.

James Stewart Steve: DeskSpace will only use CPU when displaying the 3D cube (e.g. when you're switching between desktops). While it's idle (i.e. you're working normally on a desktop) it won't use any CPU.

If you'd like to conserve RAM, it's possible to configure DeskSpace to use as little as 10MB of RAM, depending on your video card, and (especially) your screen resolution. Please let me know if you'd like to know more about configuring DeskSpace.

Colin Pritchard I run Windows 2k which is not on the list of supported operating systems. I'd like to try it as it looks just the job (you should see my desk top). I suppose I'll just have to wait till I get the new computer I've been promising myself for about three years now.
