Bernhard The Fine Print says: "Transfer of a license to another owned computer is allowed.
Online license activation is required with a hardware footprint, and 2 installations per footprint."

The website states: "Transfer to another computer allowed within 36 months". (This is for the announced Perpetual license).

That means that I lose my license if I get a new computer? Not really?

Edrawsoft A perpetual license will allow the customer to use the licensed software indefinitely. For the first three years, the perpetual license also entitles the customer to download all updates to the software and to receive technical support. After the three years period ends, the customer can choose to remain with the last version downloaded or to purchase a three year Updates & Support package, for 30% of the license price. There are no penalties for letting Updates & Support lapse for a while before purchasing an update package.

Bernhard @EdrawSoft: Thanks for the reply.

What concernes me is the statement from you website "Transfer to another computer allowed within 36 months". How should I interpret this?

Shazza I too am interested in how to interpret the transfer statement. I have two computers I work on regularly, so would install on both. I'm also likely to replace both those computers within 3 years, and if that meant that I couldn't reinstall my perpetually licenced software, that's a deal breaker.

Mike B Edrawsoft should make it clear what the difference between Edraw Max and Edraw Infographic is.

Also, it is still not clear if the software (with a perpetual license) can be installed to a new computer after 36 months - without purchasing a "Updates & Support" package at the end of the 36 months.

Edrawsoft @Bernhard @Shazza We have already removed the statement "Transfer to another computer allowed within 36 months" from the order page, as it's contradictive with the word "Perpetual" . And now has replaced with another statement "Transfer to another computer allowed for life".

So finally it's clear that the perpetual license allows users to transfer computers for life.

Edrawsoft The difference between Edraw Max and Edraw Infographic:

1. Basic Difference

Edraw Max is capable for more than 200+ diagrams including Flowchart, Network Diagram Org Chart, Mind Map, Floor Plan, Project Chart, Electrical Schematics, P&ID, UML, Fashion Design, Certificate, and more.

Edraw Infographic focuses on infographics and graphic design such as poster, flyer, leaflet, brochure, banner, card, timeline, etc.

2. Can Edraw Max Draw Infographics?

Edraw Max can also draw infographics, but the elements and templates are not as many as in Edraw Infographic.

Edraw Infographic contains much more built-in elements and templates, and will continuously update new ones.

3. UI Difference.

The UI of Edraw Infographic is more comfortable for infographic design. And the quick colors, theme, texture fill, etc., are especially designed for infographics.

Shazza @edrawsoft
Thanks for clarifying the licence issues. Your website states (https://www.edrawsoft.com...p#order_01) "Edraw Max includes all libraries and functions of Edraw product line."

This seems inconsistent with your statement above, so can you clarify please

Your website also says(https://www.edrawsoft.com...shapes.php) "Lots of ready-made shapes will be available in our new version which will be published soon. They cover a broad range of topics."

Can you advise when "soon" is likely to be, and what the additional range of topics includes please.

Edrawsoft @Shazza The FAQ page you saw was an old page which was published before Edraw Infographic launched. We will update it soon.

Also from this page (https://www.edrawsoft.com...shapes.php) "Lots of ready-made shapes will be available in our new version which will be published soon. "

This page was created based on Edraw Max. The new version it mentioned refers to Edraw Infographic. In Edraw Infographic, more shapes has already added.
