Michael R. As a former buyer of FlowBreeze v2 I just found out that the current version v3.x does not work with my v2-license key any more.

Haven't used FlowBreeze for a while, I am wondering which is the last version of v2, I am allowed to use with my key and where I can download it?

Nicholas Hebb Hi Michael - Your version 2 license key will work with any version 2.X release. The last release of version 2 was 2.6.16. For version 3 you would need to order a new license. Send an email to support {at} breezetree.com, and I'll send you a link for the version 2 download .

Albert Wong We are headquartered in Singapore but have operations in various countries in the AP region. We are considering using this tool for our process analysts and process improvement project members. We think we have 10 users at HQ and another 10 spread over 4 other countries. Instead of buying 20 user licenses, can I buy a site license and distribute the licenses to the other countries.

Ric Hi. Can I install a single license on my desktop and laptop?

I downloaded the trial to test. Whenever I use the Flowchart Wizard I keep getting the following parsing error:
"Parsing error. 'XP, Vista (32 and 64 bit), 7 (32 and 64 bit), Excel 2000, 2002 XP' is not a valid connection Id. Original entry: 'Download available for: Windows 2000, XP, Vista (32 and 64 bit), 7 (32 and 64 bit), Excel 2000, 2002 XP, 2003, 2007, 2010', located in cell A7."

Nicholas Hebb Hi Ric - For wizard entries containing commas, you will need to enclose the entry in quotes. I recommend that you use the Apply Parsing Syntax tool (under the Flowchart Wizard drop down). The parsing syntax has a lot of options, which are covered in depth on the help page:

bvssunnydale Hi, thanks for answering my question about FlowBreeze & Office 2013 (I have ver 2.6). Just to see I ran 2.6 and it installed into Excel 2013 fine. Are there any significant improvements or changes (and/or a link showing same) to the 3.0 version of FlowBreeze (I have to confess, I've never actually used it but think it's a great concept). Thx.

With the little testing I've done with the program, I'm quite impressed with the program. Funny that this deal came up today considering that I was looking at SmartDraw yesterday.

Also, does the program come with templates? Because when I click on Templates -- Load Template, I can't find any with the program.

Does a single license allow for a desktop and laptop installation, or are 2 licenses necessary?

Jan-Christoph Ihrens I bought FlowBreeze the last time it was offered here at BDJ. I don't need it that often, but it's really nice to work with it.

This new offer reminded me to look for a newer version, and indeed there is one (I'm using 3.2.9.16, the current version is 3.4.2.22). I downloaded it and tried to install it over the existing version, but as soon as I start the installer, it tells me that "another version" is installed and the installation can't continue. Excel is not running. Do I have to uninstall FlowBreeze in order to install the update?

Nicholas Hebb @bvssunnydale - there isn't a consolidated list of differences between version 2 and 3, but if you go to the download page on the BreezeTree website and scroll down to the change log, you can see all the features that have been added since version 3.0.

@Ric - FlowBreeze doesn't come with pre-made templates. Instead it has a template generator that you can use to create your own re-usable title blocks and swim lane outlines.

Also, a single license will allow you to run it on both a desktop and laptop.

@Jan-Christoph Ihrens - Yes. because of how COM add-ins are registered in the Windows registry, the old version will need to be uninstalled before installing the update. Your settings and license key information will remain intact through the uninstall / re-install process.

A significant bug has been reported in the Flowchart Wizard. We develop custom versions of FlowBreeze, and part of the code for one custom version was merged into the main branch, affecting the layout generated by the Flowchart Wizard. The merge will be reverted and an update will be posted to the BreezeTree website within the next few days.

InterestedParty I would have liked to have bought this, but, alas, PayPal is up to its usual tricks again. "The card you entered cannot be used for this payment. Please enter a different credit or debit card number." - yes, and I can enter as many cards as I have, if they don't like you, you can't buy.
No problem, luckily there are vendors who have proper payment processing and don't use PP.

Nicholas Hebb @Gernot - I'm sorry about this issues with PayPal. We do use another payment processor (FastSpring) for our regular operations, but they don't have a built-in affiliate tracking system that makes it easy to run offers through promotional sites like Bits du Jour.
