Dave Barr The link for buying doesn't work. The link to Gallery seems to show results from GenopalPro v. 1.0. What if I want to buy GenopalPro v. 1.0 rather than Genopal 3.0? What price would that be - stil 40% off?

David Gilmour I used the link provided by BDJ to download the demo version of GenoPal, but the installed application refuses to run without a serial number. Is it me, or is the link pointing to the wrong version?

Billy B.A. This is really messed up. The genopal web site has no link or reference of any kind (that I can see) to this version 3.0, and the BDJ link installs a version that requires a serial to run. There is no way to demo this product. I couldn't even find a demo for the pro 1.0 version. I think this is more the developer's fault with their web site than BDJ.

Alex Scheglov It is not set straight, I agree. If I go to the developer webpage separately, I get to PRO version (http://genopal.com/index.htm) with no mention of 3.0. If I click through BDJ I get to 3.0 webpage, which is http://genopal.com/features_v3.htm

They also have online demo which gives some idea/samples of the program

I could not find any discount for PRO either...guess none.

Roger Thomasson Hey everybody, let me see if I can clear all this up. The GenoPal software developer is on Singapore time, so he might not be able to chime in till later. Hopefully I'm representing him properly, but forgive me in advance if I'm not :-)

GenoPal 3.0 is a brand new, light version of GenoPal Pro. It's new enough that I don't think the developer is featuring it on his website yet, which is why you can't find it...

Just to be clear, the Bits du Jour discount applies ONLY to GenoPal 3.0, not the Pro version.

David Gilmour The trial version of GenoPal *2.1* is readily available from various sites, including download.com. Although this is like taking last year's model of a car out for a test drive before deciding whether to buy this year's model, at least I'm getting a better sense of what the product does that if I had just relied on that sketchy online demo. Interestingly, v2.1 offers to install PS and Illustrator plugins; I saw no mention of PS plugins in the descriptions of v3.0.

Sharon Mills Am I understanding this correctly? We can order v.3.0 at the discounted price, then upgrade to Pro for the difference in the regular prices? Basically, that would be $10 off the Pro version, right?

M. Magers OK, I just tried to do the online order going through the BitsDuJour link. Everything went fine until I clicked submit, then the following message came up,

"Please wait while your order is processed...

Order processing typically occurs in seconds, but can take up to two minutes, depending on your payment method."

It's now 20 minutes later and the browser shows "Done" in the lower right corner. I don't know whether the order went through or not, and the "Contact Us" link on the order response page is disabled.

So what do I do now???

Michael Parry-Thomas I have tried several colour systems
for graphic design work they have all been lacking in something
when I spotted this being advertised I decided to try it
I was so pleased with the online web demo

I purchased the pro version it is so easy to use and very helpful
in choosing colour schemes

I also specialise in ceramic transfer printing and colour matching
graphic colour separation
if anybody is in the printing industry or graphic artwork industry
this is an excellent tool to use
