How totally awesome would it be to be able to take the contents of your PC with you everywhere you go? Think about it – no longer will you have to wait to reinstall your familiar applications in a public PC or have to carry around a heavy laptop everywhere you go. Just find any computer and get your stuff done immediately!

Hopedot VOS lets you take your own operating system along with you on any storage device -- USB drives, external drives, even your iPod! Just plug the device into any computer and BOOM, it's just like you're sitting at home, with all of your data, applications, even your desktop. Plus, since it's the Security Edition, you'll be glad to know that file movement is always password-protected and your data is encrypted at all times.

I know what you're thinking -- is it safe? Absolutely! Hopedot VOS is completely isolated from the Windows environment of the host computer, so nothing you do on Hopedot VOS will leave a trace! You can even install full applications, not just portable apps, right into Hopedot VOS. Even configuration files are written to the Hopedot VOS registry!

After you purchase Hopedot VOS (Security Edition), it may be used for 36 months.

Michael R. Will this be usable on Win7, x64-systems soon?

Do I have the installation-files for the exe-programs I want to install, or can I transfer the programs from my original-computer somehow?

Can Hopedot VOS emulate somehow the S/N of my original system?

Frank Sielna Dear Vendor,

in short: How do you differ from prayaya.com?
I bought their software, doesn't work on x64 hosts.

Why would I spend money on yours?

Thank you, Frank

Software Geek I seriously find suspicious any software company that has the same product under two names. Also, if the 64 bit version doesnt work then why do they make it so difficult on their site to let people find that out. It seems as if they are just trying to keep people from knowing. It should be on the home page what OS it supports period. Possibly they are just trying to get sales and hopefully people will not ask for a refund. Also if you visit their other site GodSW,inc that sells Prayaya (what a weird name) it is flagged by Web Of Trust as an unsafe site. Actually Hopedot is also a strange name for a company, companies that usually have strange names like this are generally I have found have bad reputation as scam sites.

Rick F On their website under SupportThe Basics with regard to the Win7/64 questions I found the following:
"5. Does Hopedot VOS support 64-bits Windows System?
We are sorry that Hopedot VOS does not support any 64-bit version of Windows Operating System. However we are now working hard to figure it out. It will be released soon."
I had the same question, but it looks like they don't support 64 bits Win7. Too bad for us eh?

T J This is a Chinese software company, it is at night now in China. I guess this might be the reason why no one from this company answered questions here.

Software Guy Just a note that the older comments have good information. My opinion is that this software has great potential. Looks like the major problem at the moment is the lack of a 64 bit version, but the vendor says it is coming. That is important as most PCs come from the factory with 64 bit windows installed. I purchased a 32 bit economy system to try to sidestep these issues and have been glad I did. But Microsoft looks like they are trying to do the right thing by offering win 8 at a 39.95$ upgrade for vista and win 7 users which might go a long way in standardizing things again.
but this hopedot concept is good and I will patiently wait for that 64 bit version to come along.
I do use prayaya occasionally and will say that it does work and is extremely convenient. Would also be great if the vendor could possibly work toward allowing it to be used without administrator rights as many people do work at companies that do not give administrator rights to the users, which forces them to look for portable software or software that installs with no admin rights. Swift ToDo and also their treenotes comes to mind.

Peter Ekkerman To all who are interested in this be aware that this version
does NOT support Win7 -64 bit.
Despite claims to the contrary ,it's easy enough to find this on the website.
However, also be aware that this version's release date was
April 12 ,2011.
Also , despite the fact that WIn 7 went RTM in July 2009 and officially released in October 2009 ,there has been no progress on providing
a 64 bit version of Hopedot VOS , again ,despite numerous promises that "soon" it would be available.

I don't know if a 64 bit is forthcoming ,if ever.
I'm just pointing out the facts.
Y'all make up your own minds.
For myself I just use 2 words Caveat Emptor :)
Use the trial version to decide whether it'll work on your machine AND a few other ones using the flashdrive it's installed on.

Jacky Tsao Dear Frank Sielna,
Q: How do you differ from prayaya.com?
A: The Hopedot VOS (Security Edition) differs from Prayaya in the following features:
1) Hopedot VOS supports the installation of more applications and it has the easy-to-use manageable toolbar.
2) Hopedot VOS Security Edition is for users who are in great need of data safety. All the files and data will be encrypted into VOS system. Files and data transafer between the two systems must be imported or exported with management password needed.

Jacky Tsao Dear Software Geek,
Thanks for your comment. We are sorry for the misunderstanding but we have made that problem (Hopedot VOS not supporting 64bits) clearly seen on the Download page of the website. And we always keep our promise about the refund. As for the name issue, VOS stands for Virtual Operating System, that is the key function of Hopedot VOS, to enable users to create a virtual operating system.

J S I originally purchased Hopedot VOS (security Edition) in October 2011 during a Bitsdujour promotion and at that time I was aware the 64Bit version was "in development", and I was happy to wait for the 64Bit version to be made available,

I need the 64Bit version because all of the notebooks I own are only 64Bit (and the Notebook Vendor DOES NOT offer a 32Bit Windows version for my model of Notebook).

Consequently I have never installed or used the program I purchased in 2011, as I was waiting for the 64Bit version.

Q. Is it still possible to apply for a Refund?
- - - - - - - - -

I left a message in your January 6, 2012 Prayaya V3 PC at 7:21pm but didn't get a reply at that time and because of the delay in replying, I never did ask for a refund.

I checked the Prayaya V3 PC topic today and I now see that You did reply to my comments/questions 3 days later.

misho Hello there,

I have installed the demo and what I observed is that I cannot create large partition - I wanted to create a 50gb one on a 64 gb USB, but the software allows only for a 1GB partition. When I try a larger one, I receive an error saying that it cannot write on an encrypted disk (there is no encryption, however. What are the limitations here?

Jacky Tsao Dear Mihail Garchev,
Thanks for your support to our product. We are wondering what's the disk format of your USB? FAT32 or NTFS? FAT format usually can only supports several GB's partition. But NTFS format won't have the limitation.
And VOS doesn't support MS Office 2010 now but it supports Office 2003 and 2007. Our technology will update the function continuously.
If you have further questions, pls feel free to contact us at supporthopedot.com
