Michael R. Just saw your video: Well made...

Some question about that: I do not own (yet) a kindle, but severely have a buy in mind. So perhaps some questions are too easy...

Is it possible to have ONE book under more than one cathegories (without having it strored twice on the kindel)?
Is it possible to encrypt (or lock) certain categories, so that not anyone can access to these it in an easy way - kind of a child-protection?

Amazon seems to allow buying kindel-books only on the amazon-page of the country the customer lives in (e.g. you can buy from amazon.co.uk only, if you have an UK-address). So, what if a user has two or more kindle-identities, one for each country? In the kindle-app from Amazon, you explicitely have to log-off and log-in with you other identity to have access to the books of the other country. Is there something you can do with this (in your app)?

Since your application is allowed to be installed on 3 computers. Can I synch them without having a kindle yet?

Louis H In your FAQs you write...

Kindle 2, Kindle DX and Kindle Touch are also supported but without the collection management function.

Are there any plans to fully support Kindle Touch in the near future? One of the things that interests me in Kindlean is the collection management function but since this feature is not currently available for the Kindle Touch it would defeat the purpose of buying the product unless you are working on this for future releases.

Does Kindlean currently support the Kindle Fire? If not now, are there plans to include it in future releases?

Thanks!

Yuriy Loza -- Is it possible to have ONE book under more than one cathegories (without having it strored twice on the kindel)?

yes

-- Is it possible to encrypt (or lock) certain categories, so that not anyone can access to these it in an easy way - kind of a child-protection?

no

The program doesn't require log-on and can't help in accessing books from other countries. And it can't be synced on several computers (only by manually copying files)

-- Are there any plans to fully support Kindle Touch in the near future?

yes, we are working on it.

-- Does Kindlean currently support the Kindle Fire?

no, and we are not going to support it in the near future

Louis H Thank you, Yuriy!

I have a Kindle Touch but do not have the Kindle Fire. I'm leaning more towards an actual Android tablet rather than the Fire, but thought I'd ask.

That you are working on the Kindle Touch is enough for me to take the chance and pick this one up on the day of the discount.

Thanks again for responding to our questions.

Jack G Hmm, looks pretty cool, might get it but I have been using Kindle Collection Manager. How does this differ from that enough to justify the extra expense?

Yuriy Loza -- How does this differ from that enough to justify the extra expense?

Kindlean is not just a utility, but a beautiful and useful library app. There are a lot of other pleasant ways to manage book library other than creating collections. If you like reading - you'll understand
Alfa.NetSoft Vendor - Jan 25 at 8:11am
Cheryl Rutherford I do have a Kindle, and the Amazon desktop PC Kindle Manager program already does what your apps claims. But, it does NOT allow for importing PDFs or other types of e-books. Does your app do the following, which I think would make it more sellable:
1. Import PDFS and other formats
2. Convert other formats to MOBI or Kindle format
3. Categorize books: Drama, Comedy, Christian, History, etc.
4. PRINT BOOKS.

Does it do ANY of the above? If not, will you consider this. THEN, I WOULD REALLY BUY IT.
Jan 25 at 8:56am
Jack G @Yuriy Loza

I agree that it looks great with the visual covers of the books and the layout, just wondered if there was anything else that set it apart from Kindle Collection Manager.

Does it support AZW2, PRC, TPZ, AA, AAX, Zip and CBZ like KCM? If not will they be supported at a future date?

Will be thinking on this one a bit more, thanks for the response.
Jan 25 at 7:34pm
Yuriy Loza -- 1. Import PDFS and other formats

yes, it imports PDFs, TXTs, MP3s and unprotected MOBIs. And can manage them unlike Amazon's app

-- 2. Convert other formats to MOBI or Kindle format

no, we plan to add convertors in the future

-- 3. Categorize books: Drama, Comedy, Christian, History, etc.

yes

-- 4. PRINT BOOKS.

you can open book from Kindlean in other viewers and print them

-- Does it support AZW2, PRC, TPZ, AA, AAX, Zip and CBZ like KCM? If not will they be supported at a future date?

Kindlean supports TXT, MOBI, AZW, MP3, PDF. For MOBI, AZW and PDF it can edit file metadata. Other formats will be supported basing on demand

Jack G Cool, thanks for the information, Yuriy, it's looking more like a purchase now.

B Josephs @Yuriy Loza
Thanks for the deal.
Please clarify how one would print a kindle ebook with this app. This is probably the most sought-after capability missing from the official kindle for pc app (Thanks Cheryl for your question!).
Additionally, would support for kindle touch and future converting capability be included in the purchase of this license?
Jan 26 at 8:32am
Yuriy Loza -- how one would print a kindle ebook with this app

For now Kindlean can't open and print ebooks itself. It only lets to open books from the library in the third-party readers. So you can open a book in the MOBI reader and print it

-- would support for kindle touch and future converting capability be included in the purchase of this license?

kindle touch - yes. converting - no
Alfa.NetSoft Vendor - Jan 26 at 8:45am
Cheryl Rutherford I think I will pass on this one as it does NOT do anything more than the FREE Amazon Kindle Manager app. When it does, especially the conversions, I would be interested. Right now, I have several apps that will convert a Kindle book to any format and any other format to a Kindle book. Once they are converted, they can then be printed. I think that is what people really want.
However, you may not want to convert your e-books. Here is a link that can explain why or why not and also give you ideas as to how to convert your e-books. I simply LOVE my Kindle (the 2 generation w/3G) and am thinking about the Kindle Fire, but may hold off for now as I don't really need another SMART e-Reader.

Gosh, I sure hope you add more features to your software!
Jan 26 at 10:02am
Jack G @Cheryl

I do have and use Calibre to a great extent, that is why I am hesitant to get this, it's mainly a curiosity thing to see what it's capable of and what features will be included later.

Calibre is essential when you have thousands of ebooks, I read an average of one book about every 2 days so I have many in my collection. I hate having more than 20 books on my Kindle, don't see the point when I'm only reading one at a time(I HATE going back and forth between books), only that many because I get lazy and don't want to transfer them, hah!

All in all I still think this is a nice program and it may be more user friendly for those that need it.
Jan 26 at 10:47pm
Yuriy Loza -- it does NOT do anything more than the FREE Amazon Kindle Manager app

it does A LOT OF more than Kindle Desktop App. And it's not a SMART e-Reader - it's a book manager

re Calibre - yes, it can do a lot of things. But it's a nightmare to work with it
Alfa.NetSoft Vendor - Jan 26 at 10:54pm
Gren Bingham Hello, What extra benefits does this application give me over the Kindle application that Amazon provides for my PC, iPhone, Android Phone, Android tablets, and that also works on the MAC.

Please convince me and I shall buy it because I use Kindle books a lot, but not on a Kindle ... mostly on my iPhone or Android tablets.

Gren.
Jan 27 at 1:41am
Yuriy Loza Gren,

Kindlean works only on PC and only with Kindle e-Ink device.

Kindlean can work with all books (MOBI, AZW, TXT, PDF, MP3) that you can download for free, while Amazon's Desktop app supports only books purchased from Amazon.

Besides Kindlean allows to parse and edit book metadata, quickly update covers from Google Images, vizualize your library in more ways, quickly add books to Kindle, search/sort/organize books and audible files.

Louis H Is it just me today, or are other folks having problems with Plimus allowing PayPal again?

I'd really like to pick Kindlean up today, but will only use PayPal for such purchases.

I've lost out on other deals because Plimus doesn't always play well with Paypal.

On the Kindlean vs Calibre discussion....

I have used Claibre for quite a while and like it for conversion tasks, but do not like it for managing my collections. I'm one of those folks who find it less than user friendly. I like what I have been playing around with with Kindlean and am willing to purchase it with trust that Yuriy will indeed expand the ability to utilize it fully with the Kindle Touch, but only if Plimus gets its PayPal issues sorted out.
Jan 27 at 2:40am
Yuriy Loza If you don't see PayPal as a payment option on the Checkout page - try to open it in another browser. Sometimes it helps. Probably they put payment options to cookies
Alfa.NetSoft Vendor - Jan 27 at 4:00am
Cheryl Rutherford @ Jack G:
Yes, this program looks interesting, but Calibre handle ANY e-book and KINDLE book. In fact, it CONVERTS it when you add it to Calibre. I just don't think there is anything better than Calibre right now. I have the Kindle app for my PC, which downloads my books to my PC. Then, I import them into Calibre.

I just don't use anything else and why would you? But, each to his own. When and if the Kindlean does everything Calibre does, I will surely consider it, of course, as I have over 10 TB of e-books in various formats and I have tried EVERY APP OUT THERE FOR E-BOOK MANAGEMENT and I have found NONE that even come close to Calibre (no, I do not work for Calibre ;-).

Eric B I have 2 questions:

1. What is the Free Amazon Kindle Manager app, and where do I find it?

2. Can Kindlean connect to my Amazon Media Library and "Download to USB" for all of the books I have in my Media Library?

Thanks,

Eric

Lee Ann T What is the difference between this version for $9.95 and the free version that shows up when I click the above link to your website?
Jan 27 at 10:43am
Keith Norton I, too, cannot find a way to pay with PayPal on the payment page. Unlinked PayPal logos appear in a couple of places, but under "method of payment" PayPal is not listed. Selecting "secure online credit card" takes one to another page where PayPal is still not available, though a Pay Pal Verified logo is still present. Is there any way to activate PayPal for today's offering?

Yambolgirl Hi, I have a Kindle and I have purchased the Kindlean App.
Its fantastic, easy to use. Once I had put all my books into collections, i followed the instructions when disconnecting my Kindle and the App arranged all the books with the same collections onto my Kindle. Its great and so easy to use. I have hundreds of books, so now finding the one I what is so much easier.

Thank you, Kinlean.

Sabu Kalickal OOmmen I have downloaded the trial version and used. I found two problems, 1. Kindlean did not show all my books on the kindle, but only 44. 2. Though I wasable to create folders and place the books, Those books, which I placed in the folders, are still found even outside of the folders, taking alomost 4+ pages, and the folders created with kindlean at the end of the page. I. e. tWhat is the use of buying it? Or is it because of trial version? Hope to hear from you at the earliest, so that I can buy at the earliest.

Thanking you,

Sabu

Michael Begley I have hundreds of kindle books which I read on the Fire, Kindle Keyboard, and Kindle for the PC. Anything that can bring some structure to any of these enviornments is worth a try. Also desired is an app that would organize the books held in the Amazon cloud.

I am currently getting an error during the Kindlean install so I cannot yet report on how this app will help the organization on my Kindle Keyboard. Hopefully tech support can help me clear this up soon. As I understand it, none of the other Kindle content environments I mentioned above are addressed by this product.

Louis H PayPal is a no go with Firefox - Chrome - and Internet Explorer. this happened with another program not too long ago. So maybe there will be a next time for this one, but I have made the choice to not use anything other than PayPal for things that are not an absolute necessity. Thanks all the same to BDJ and Alfa.NetSoft for the offer.
Jan 27 at 4:01pm
Charlie N Looks like a great tool!!! Unfortuantely I have the Kindle Fire (unsupported) or I would buy in a second.

I hope you will consider or determine a way to offer your product for the Kindle Fire - we need it!!

Much success with your novel (pun intended) product!

Yuriy Loza Hi,
we have added Kindle Touch support and MP3 metadata support (for audiobooks)
Alfa.NetSoft Vendor - Feb 13 at 7:49am
Louis H Thank you, Yuriy. And thank you for finally getting a way to pay through PayPal. I have made a purchase today (had to go through your website, however, as the link from BDJ still does not offer a PayPal option) and will post back my thoughts after using it for a while on my Kindle Touch.
