Ralph Bressler First, I may have missed something but I was surprised to find that this is an online "service" not a piece of software. Second, the "demo" is uselss since I can't save anything or see how it really works on my system. How is the information stored? Is it stored on your servers or on my host's server or on my computer? designing a form is no big deal and there are MANY programs that do it if you don't want to start from scratch. Storing and managing the responses is the key thing and neither your demo or your website make that part clear!

Christopher -- MachForm will be installed on your website, so you will have the advantage of the backend admin panel to manage all your forms data. Searching over the data will be a quick task.

IT Consultant -- I'm afraid the current promotion only applicable for the Standard (single domain) license. Sorry!

Ralph -- Actually, MachForm is not a service. It's a self-hosted application that need to be uploaded into your website hosting server. All your forms and data are being stored on your host's server. We don't host any part of your form and don't have access to any of your data. Basically, you have complete control and privacy over your data.

Ralph Bressler After posting my comment about MachForm being a service, I finally found some information in the FAQ. So my concern is now that the Live Demo does not represent how MachForm actually works. My experience has been that the biggest aggravation with these systems is getting them installed and working on the host server. Since there is no trial version for MachForm, it is impossible to evaluate this aspect of the system!

Roberto Ralph, install MachForm is not dificult. You can see the well documented 5 steps in their website.

Live demo is exactly how it works! Its the MF3 panel, you can see each form pressing "view" link.

IMHO documentation is great, and they refund policy is clear too (i dont know because i never need to return them a licence, but they are kindly enought to give a refund with no questions)

I think they say about the requirements in the pricing area, in the FAQ area, in the requirements area. in the documentation... its NOT a service!

Im not trying to convince you about buy... just take your time to explore the samples, their forum and their website. They did the hard job for you can evaluate it with no hassle.

Ralph Bressler Roberto, I saw the requirements and I get now that it is not a hosted service. I was misled since the Download Trail button does not lead to a download but to a Live Demo on the web. I am not worried about the control panel as it looks great. I am worried about the installation as I have had similar packages that were a hassle. I cannot evaluate the whole package without installing it.

However, I agreed that the documentation is extensive, the return policy is generous and the support seems great. Even at $39 this would be a good deal and at $19 even better. I would prefer a discount on a package with more websites but this will allow me to try it on one site and then determine if I need to upgrade. I hope it comes up soon as I really would like to try the whole package.

VLM From one review of this product: "While the application has much to recommend, there are a number of places that MachForm could be improved. There is minimal ability to control the layout in the application and there is no ability to have different style sheets for different forms."

I realize that reviews can be out of date, so I post here and ask: Can one use different style sheets for different forms, or for different types of forms?

Yuniar Setiawan VLM -- that seems to be a review for our old version (v2)? As of version 3, we have a visual theme editor to allow you changing the theme of your form easily. And yes you can use different style sheets for each form.

Curious Steve What does it mean to have "5 users" for the standard addition? Are these people who can create/update/modifier forms? Does this "5 user" limit restrict how many people can fill/submit forms?

Yuniar Setiawan Those are people who can login to your MachForm to create/edit forms, access entries, themes, etc. While the number of people who can submit the form is unlimited.

Ralph Bressler I just bought and installed the package. I even created a basic form and then "used" it. To my surprise it went flawlessly and was one of the easiest packages of its kind to install! I especially like the variety of different field types that are preset but easily modified. I have not tried multiple pages or any extensive theme mods.

One question. How do I get two fields to appear on the same row?

Ralph Bressler Ok, that worked well and I will try reading the docs BEFORE asking questions next time.

I like the way you implemented CSS classes and allow the creation of new custom classes. I think this is the right way to do this. What I don't like is that the result do NOT show up when editing but only when viewing. This means that what I see in the edit is not what I get when I view. I have to remember what I did or switch to viewing. On shorter forms this is not a problem but on longer ones it can be annoying.

Amber -- Sorry, there is no specific deal for the upgrade, but you can use the license key from this deal for the upgrade. At least it's $5 cheaper than the normal $25 upgrade ;-)

Ralph, VLM -- Thank you for the feedback on this. It would be awesome to have the custom CSS class being previewed on the editor indeed, but we were having some technical difficulties implementing this. Particularly when the custom class messed up the whole editor layout (happened when the custom class is being used to set a large font, or float an element, etc).

We'll look for more option on how to do it properly.

Charlotte Sinclaire Something I read in the comments above leads me to think that, if I purchase MacForm, I can only use it in one web site at a time. Is this right or wrong? I have at least three web sites that need forms. If this is NOT the case, then great. If it IS the case, please so state for sure, so that I know what I'm getting. Otherwise, it sounds like a great deal (even for one site, probably). I am also curious just what more one might get with the Pro version, but I can probably find that on your web site.

Mitch Kite I already own Machform2 and love it. However, I would like to see the Professional version of Machform3 offered on BDJ. I run 8 websites (for fun, not profit) and to use Machform on all those sites would get quite costly.
