I have been searching on MetaProducts website for this upgrade policy and I have not found it anywhere.

Louis H I have been using a number of Metaproducts Corporation's apps for many years now and remain very impressed with the attention that they give their customers when ever there is a problem. They are constantly upgrading various apps as standards change for how websites are set up.

I use other downloading apps from time to time, but my favorite has remained Mass Downloader.

Aussie Pete Just a quick note for Aussie's thinking of buying this product:

In USD the price is $9.97, but $12.28 AUD which is about $1.00 more including commission than Major Credit Cards would convert.

SoftCollector Dear Alexander,

I sometimes use MD to download large files from an FTP (700+ MB). The plus side of MD is that it speeds up the process of download - even from FTP sides, and if the connection breaks, it can start over without information loss.

The downside is that MD feels a little clumsy and unreliable when FTP is concerned: connection is a little slow as compared to FileZilla and the software seems a little tentative - connection is sometimes lost if one inserts passwords, but does not start downloading the files immediately - sometimes the software freezes or crashes. This is the only time when MD seems to need improvement, otherwise, as noted above I have tried and rejected in favor of MD ALL major download managers available on the market today.

Is FTP handling improvements in the plans for Mass Downloader?
