_*_ Is the Pro version going to be on sale as well at Bits, and if so, what will be the price point?
Thank you

mirabyte Software This is a code-based editor so you can import any existing Website (as long as you have the HTML/CSS, etc. source files)

Neville Franks I am trying to install the free trial downloaded from your Website onto a clean copy of WinXP running in a VM and am getting a 404 error : www.mirabyte.com/go/dotnet20-x86. with the rest of the filename truncated. I can't get past this point and therefore am unable to evaluate the program.

mirabyte Software You need .NET Framework 2.0 - it looks as if the Microsoft download site is down; please try to download it somewhere else, e.g. http://www.softpedia.com/...Pack.shtml

VLM Joachim Schwieren - For clarity, do you need .NET Framework 2.0 specifically, or 2.0 OR HIGHER?

Roberto I own some web editors (maybe many) . This one has singular features that make me feel confortable, and some annoyances too.

The overall speed in my computer is good enought, I love lighter editors and this is not too much bloated but does not go smooth like silk, i think similar to TSW Webcoder 2010.

I have to say I got better UI response in another editors. Scrolling the source code or the outline panel is slow here (and the outline looks like take some time to refresh/blink, in bigger files looks like it takes a couple of seconds!)

I had issues opening medium html files, the outline take his own time to update and keyboard not works in that time.

Source editor looks good and clean, i just changed the font to consolas. The editor aperance is really good, but I personaly hate the toolbars (i wish to use classic toolbars and not ribbons :-)

- Highlight matching tags is a must for me, and this editor has the feature.

- The charset management is great, choose language, charset, convert entities... is a breeze.

- The editor is HTML5/css3 ready.

- FTPS is a must have for me too, i have ftp disabled on my servers.

- snippets (not a must for me, but its a +1)

- i like the crosshair cursor in the preview (a zoom would be nice), i would like to select something in the preview and got it selected in the code too.

- The forum comunity looks not too much active :-(

- The licensing model could be per user, i dont like too much the activation licenses neither, and there is a yearly fee to get upgrades. (last one can be a good point, but i want to see how much active is the development)

- i opened a 160kb source and i got a report problem message (some Win32Exception). I tryed with 133kb, 160kb, and 170kb sizes and get the same error (report send to mirabyte already).

- when i open sample project it says me Its not found. I dont know where is it.

- when i control clic in one image, mWA says about configure an external editor (none set by default), but there is some gap when you press the dialog that does not take you to the options dialog (small bug maybe).

This is my first 30 minute experience, i have to say i bought the program... in overall its good for me.

Dont take my review too much strong, my english is not good.

For me its a good tool for the price. I will give this a chance.. and test the many advanced features that mWA has.

Happy summer to all !

Jon Spain Under section 2 of the license (URL below), one can use the software on "a single computer at once". Actually, I thought I had seen a reference to a concurrent laptop aove but I can't see it now.

It would be helpful for Joachim to confirm (preferably) or deny that one can use the software on two machines which one owns but not at the same time.

If the license is more restrictive, I'll be looking for a refund.

mirabyte Software Hi!

The license is basically per machine; but it is no problem to install the app on two or more computers as long as you do not use the software on these computers all at the same time or by different persons. So an installation on your working PC plus on your notebook PC is totally fine with a single license.

Regards!

Emil Kucera Two questions:
1. Is the trial download Standard of Professional?
2. Is Unicode supported for content and/or buttons?

I am especially interested in content management, and most of it will be Czech text with their diacritics.
Regards Emil

mirabyte Software The trial has all the functionality (pro edition). The whole application is unicode-enabled, so you can use non-ASCII chars anywhere you need/want.

Emil Kucera @Joachim - I beg to differ. Just tried one file in the trial version, and although I can see my Czech characters in the code, important diacritics are missing - both in the preview and if I save the file and go into a browser to view it. This happens regardless of the charset setting in the html code or encoder setting in firefox or MSIE.
Pity.

mirabyte Software Hi, it is fully UTF-8 compatible so it should work with any language including czech. Feel free to download the free trial version to see if everything works for you as expected!
