Roberto I tryed the demo, looks nice but in my office i have many computers doing quite noise already.

i cant hear more white noises or ambient sounds :)

Michael R. While not having tried the demo yet (, but will do shortly), I think this is a good idea.

I like the idea of being able to hear a kind of randomly created natural sound-environment at real-time. This is what the program does, doesn't it?

Is it possible ...

(1) to create also synthetic generated sounds with Mirolit Halotea like wind, fire instead of recorded sounds? This would make the environment more natural. I suppose the human mind would recognize complete identical sound-samples - even if played in different order - quite soon and it would not have the same result as always a little different sounds.

(2) to make the program play sound-samples a little diffent, e.g. i n a different speed (pitching), a slightly different frequency or different volume?

(3) to embed own sound-samples into the library?

(1) - Not right now. We think about it in future versions of Halotea...
(2) - Yes, you can set a "Random" values of volume, balance, reverberation and echo for each sample in preset. Every time the sample plays, the sounding will be different.
(3) - Yes. This is the main difference that sets us apart from a number of similar application. Users can add their own samples and use it in their self-made sound themes and presets.

Tony S I have just tried to purchase this and the order form requires that you enter an installation ID before you can proceed. This is the first time ever in buying 1000's of software online that it was necessary to have installed a software before buying it. The next problem I had was my payment method using PayPal was rejected and it's one I use regularly. I even made a purchase yesterday using PayPal so I don't know what the problem is with this order. Guess I will have to pass on this purchase.

steve kunkel I have been using this for a couple of months. It is quite nice. It include's "brainwave" sounds--though in reality I don't know if they do anything to your brain.

Hi,

The policy tab here states that it can be installed on a single computer and a laptop.

But Tony S (a few posts above) were talking about the installation ID required to buy it, so I imagine that the license is bound to this installation ID.

So how does it work to install it on a second computer?
Do we need to contact you to be able to install it?

I cannot uninstall it and reinstall it on another computer I own?

Halotea appears to be using Binaural Beat tones in some of the themes, which indeed affects your brain (I've been experimenting with it for years). Note though that you must use stereo headphones for BB to work effectively, loudspeakers don't work.

Could be nice though if you could see which Binaural Beat frequenzy is being used in Halotea, and adjust it yourself in e.g. 1/100 Hz steps.

Michael R. I just downloaded the demo and played around with it a little and I like it.

When coming to recording the only device I can choose from is Microphone. Is this a restriction of the demo-version? Of course recording the speaker-output from the microphone does not result in a good sound-quality. I think the best quality would result if Mirolit Halotea would directly store the generated sound into a file, so no quality-losses whatever kind would occur. Is this possible with the activated version and what would be the highest bps that would make sense, i.e. would really improve the generated result?

What I would really like to see is the possiblity to write some simple scripts, e.g. 'Play theme A" for 5 minutes, than play theme B for 5 minutes with a 2 minute going-over from A to B. This going-over time of 2 mins would e.g. after 30 seconds result in a 75% domination of A and 25% B and after 1:30min the opposite... I think that would be a great enhancement...

1. There is no restrictions in trial version (except 14-days trial period).

We included Recorder in Halotea to allow users to record their "voice samples" and use it in their presets or as alarms (like "reminders", "self-hypnosis" and so on...)

It you want to capture Halotea output, you can use Recording device like "What U Hear", if your sound card driver supports it.

We working about feature to export Halotea output directly to the file, but it's not ready yet.

2. "Time scale" or "Scenarios" is also in our plans...

Lite version of Halotea is coming soon... Some features in Lite version are disabled (such as presets import/export, theme export and sound recoding). However, the main features of Halotea are still available in Lite. The default price of Halotea Lite will be $19.97.
