Masterful Macro Creation for Both Keyboard and Mouse Input

If you're like me, a large chunk of your daily routine involves various computer-based tasks. And if you're like me, the great majority of these tasks requires you to perform the same operations over and over again, eight hours a day, five days a week.

With a break for lunch, of course.

What if I told you that you could reduce those repetitive keystrokes and mouse actions to a single easily-executable file? And what if I told you that you could transport this executable file to any other workstation and have it perform those same repetitive actions again and again, exactly as you originally specified?

With nMacro, you have the power to record both keyboard and mouse actions and then save them as standalone executables. Every time you run the standalone executable, you get an exact reproduction of your keystrokes and mouse actions on the system. And, since it's all contained in a single .EXE file, you can take this file and run it on any other Windows PC (assuming the other system has the same screen resolution as yours). For old timers, it's like a DOS batch file, but supersized to take advantage of these newfangled Windows GUIs and that clicky peripheral that everyone seems to love so much.

Sounds overly complicated, right? Not at all! Here's how easy:

First, set your destination directory for the macro. Next, choose a filename, preferably something you'll remember. Now, start recording your keystrokes and mouse actions. You can even password protect the executable, or suspend keyboard input during the run, if you so desire. Press Ctrl-Break to stop recording. There, done! Run your EXE as needed.

nMacro can not only record your mouse and keyboard but also allows users to take advantage of over 80 commands and conditions to create stand alone powerfull applications using a simple to understand user interface, and requiring no programming or scripting at all, just drag and drop.

ddd sss lifetime updates?

Andrei Boghiu Updates for all 2.x versions are free, and according to our roadmap this means at least 2 or 3 years from now (until v3.0). So it's not lifetime but it's long enough, we consider.

The license on our website will also be updated soon to include free updates for the current major version for all Single User licenses.

Devon Asks Is your product compatible with Windows 7?

And does it handle UACs OK?
Your forum mentioned that your earlier product wouldn't work with Vista because of UACs.

Is this resolved?

Thanks

Michael R Is there any debugging-functionality included, i.e. is it possible to step do a step-by-step runthrough until everything works?

Can I say something like 'simulate LMB-click on button with text 'yes''. If an application I call from within nMacro is opened at at different position (perhaps because it stores it's position on program-exiting), does the simulation of a mouse-click nevertheless hits the desired object? (Here: relative position to the window-left-upper-corner would be always the same, but not the absolute position on the screen)

Andrei Boghiu @ Devon:
Yes, the product is compatible with Windows 7.
Regarding UAC, most operations do not require UAC privileges, however for those that do we are adding in the the next release an option to request UAC rights at runtime. This new version is due this month.

@Michael R
For this version step by step debug functionality is not available.
Recordings are done with absolute positions. We are working on an intelligent recording function that will be available in a future version.

Nick Kobe Hi!

I have a desktop PC and several laptops. I'm the only user and these computers have different resolution settings depending on the screen size. Consequently, I would need to install the software on more than one computer. Before I make a decision about buying I need to know if the license is per user or per computer?

Thanks!

Devon Asks Thanks for the reply.

Could you please specify "what else" will be added to the new version? Please!
Any new changes due next month would be the deciding factors for me, whether to purchase this product.

And just to confirm, the new release will be definitely January, 2010? Is that correct?

Thanks
