O&O is the company that develops the *legendary* O&O Defrag. Unless they have changed, they are very sophisticated and develop great software.

Many disk-information utilities don't seem to provide any data about multiple drives, even internal drives that support SMART data.

1) Will DriveLED be able to provide data about multiple internal drives?

2) How about modern external USB or eSATA drives?

3) Does DriveLED keep a history of a drive's statistics so that changes over time can be noted?

Bob S Several other O&O programs look useful, and the developer offers bundles on multiple products at a very significant savings.

Question for developer - I'm interested in your Disk Imaging product, but it isn't included in your Toolbox bundle. Do you allow substitutions for products that are the same or lower price (e.g., Disk Imaging instead of the DiskStat and SafeErase - I'm sure the latter are good but I already have similar programs). I'm also interested in CleverCache. A great combo, in my opinion, would be Disk Imaging, CleverCache, and DriveLed. Maybe you could offer "choose any 3 for $69.95" on bits du jour! :)

Keith Norton I downloaded from the BDJ link and it won't install on my 64 bit machine. I looked for a 64bit version on the O&O website, but cannot find any reference to one.

M B Well, it seem this product and one coming up are intended to do the same basic job. For me personally, the big difference is that O&O appears to not have DRM as the other product does with limited activations. Plus it is a bit less costly which is always welcomed.

The fact of no limited activations makes O&O a better buy as you have a since of truly having rights to use the program and not be treated as a potential pirate.

Stuart K I don't like the fact that in order to automatically start this app, you have to disable UAC.

I'm also really surprised that O&O seems to recommend that this be done (pg. 13 of the manual). Windows is enough of a security nightmare as it is, so why would you want to disable security features?

T C This program does not seem to offer any actual SMART data. It just shows the Current/Worst/Threshold values in the reports, but no Data value, for any of my four internal drives, which every other SMART-monitoring tool I've tried shows. Consequently, I don't see the point of this software.

Keith Norton Thanks Paul B for the x64 link. I don't know where they hid it, but the software works fine.
TC: The software does show SMART data, but one needs to click the "Create Report" button on the right side of the large version of the window and the data is presented in your browser. It seems to be accurate and the reporting less alarming in presentation than other offerings.

T C The 'Create Report' function is what I'm referring to. It does not show Data values, which are the actual measurements.

Every other SMART tool shows all four values.

Ron H You don't have to turn off UAC. You can leave it on and just create a task to run the program with elevated privileges at startup. Something I use allot for older programs on Win7 x64.

I downloaded a trial and tried to install (on Windows 7 Ultimate) but only then did it mention that it would not install on a 64-bit version of Windows. I'm glad that I didn't purchase without trying first! This 64-bit limitation should be mentioned up front. The product website for v4.1.57 of the product says "Operating System: Windows 7, Vista, XP (32 Bit, 64 Bit)" so -- considering the placement of the commas -- does that mean 32-bit and 64-bir only for Windows XP? The product User's Manual indicates that 64-bit applies for Windows 7 and Vista, but the installed definitely told me that it wouldn't install against 64-bit. SO what's the story?
