The OCR supports English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
Characters are returned in ANSI format. In a future release we will fully support Unicode/UTF8 + several other languages such as Chinese.

M B Hello,
Is it possible to have the program allow users to have the ability to install to hard drives other than C:?

My C: Drive is an SSD that is reserved for the OS only and I would like to try this program, but it does not allow for installation to any other drive than C.

Could this be changed, please?

We will add this option in the next installation package.
Waiting for, here a workaround:

1- Download & unzip somewhere http://www.orpalis.com/do...noinst.zip
2- Run the register.bat file
3- Then run PaperScan.exe program to start the application.

Thank you. The problem is the program crashes every time I try to Acquire an Image.

I was trying to scan an image, but it crashes each time.

Can I have .docx files import into the program?

John Booth I, too, am unable to aquire an image. Every time I press this and select a scanner to use, the program crashes. Oh, PaperPort 12 is working fine with the scanner so I know the scanner and drivers are working.

Jakson, I would like to tell that PaperScan advantage is the easy way to handle acquisition & document manipulation. Since we are document imaging experts, we provides very good filters to increase image quality. IE: Punch hole removal, autodeskew, We can also create searchable PDF document. Also our colour image manipulation should be faster. Also, are a flexible & dynamic company and we will be happy to provide new features, for free, on simple demand.

Thank you for your interest everyone, we got lot of feedback and we will try to fix all reported problems as soon as possible, in a new release.
