Louis H Trial version is far too buggy for me. All buttons do not show up, even after increasing the size of the program. And it would shrink at times without me doing anything. (I am using Win 7 Professional 64 bit) I do wonder why the program does not automatically open large enough to reveal all buttons (one's on the right.) And I had to enter MOBI (by typing it in over the ePub already there) as a choice where, according to the help file, there is suppose to be a button for accessing a pull down menu to choose between ePub or Mobi format. Am I reading the help file wrong?

Converting a pdf to mobi as image did fine in terms of converting images, but was unable to increase size and thus was unreadable. Converted it as text and the formatting was horrendous. Although I could increase the font size and read the text, the images were completely unviewable. Help file is not very helpful at all.

My initial impression is this program has potential but is not yet ready for prime time. I get the feeling this thing should still be labeled as being in beta, but i am willing to change my impression if someone from the company can clarify what I am doing wrong - or what I need to do to get scalable copies of my pdf's with images using this program.

Thanks for offering it here for evaluation.

P.S. The pdf's I was trying to convert are not protected in any way. They are free and clear of any DRM features that might interfere with being converted. Just thought I'd add that bit of info.

P.P.S. I know it says here that it is for Win XP, but the website says it si for all versions of Windows and does not specify 32 or 64 bit limitation.

james dean Hi Louis,

Thanks for your kind attention, our software does not currently support 64-bit systems. We have modified the introduction on our site to support only 32-bit systems.

Louis H :(

I was hoping it was simply something I was not doing right.

Any plans on supporting 64-bit systems in the "near" future? (say within the next 6 months or so?)

I will try it on my other laptop - Win XP 32 bit. I don't usually use it for much, but I do have a huge collection of pdf files that I would love to be able to convert for easier use on a Kindle.

I have no idea if this will do what you want, but it's freeware so you can take a look and decide for yourself. The program is called Calibre
and says it handles some conversions.

Hope This Helps

The reason why we do not support 64-bit systems is due to the development tools we use is without 64-bit compiler. As long as 64-bit compiler releases, our software will be able to support 64-bit system. If not by next year, we will switch to other development tools to support 64-bit systems.

On the kindle, we have a product designed to achieve "pdf to kindle" conversion, as detailed in our website.

We have a goal to develop practical and simple e-book tools and we will undoubtedly keep trying.

Thanks again for your attention.

Tazzie I would love to try PDF to ePUB/Mobi Converter, but all machines here are now 64 bit Win7.

I use Calibre and it does a decent job of converting, and you get a nice choice of formats to convert from and to.  Plus, I like it's organization of eBooks.  I still read eBooks on my Palm TX as well as my Palm Pre phone, so it comes in handy to convert PDF files to smaller formats that are accepted by other devices.

Dr. Hischam A. Hapatsch Hello! when I try to convert PDF to epub-forrmat German special characters like ä, ö, ü were not supported. Therefore the program is not  recommandable for German users. (When I convert PDF to MOBI-file this problem do not exist.) Greetings Hischam
