after the first year of upgrades free - you can choose to purchase an additional year or 2 of maintenace if you did not do so when purchasing - at purchase time you can do so for 15/25% of the purchase price - if you do so after this the cost is 17.5/30% of the then RRP.

If you choose to do neither - the upgrade cost will be calcualted based on how long it is since your free maintenance ran out and the then current retail price and this cannot be predicted until that time - but obviously the less time since your purchase the less expensive it will be.

Max Frenkel I have PDF X-Change 4 Pro on two of my computers and I use it (since version 3) quite often to clip, rotate and extract pdfs. Is there any difference to this version here? And could I also use it on two computers?

I bought pdf xchange pro several months ago at regular price and nevertheless I never regret buying, since it´s a really good pdf-editor. Apart from the features mentioned, I alos appreciate the integration in internet explorer, which allow to save a whole or a selected part of a website to pdf.
The support has always been firendly and reliable. So even more at this discounted price I´d really recommend buying pdf xchange pro, if you need a versatile, good pdf-editor

Hi John, I just went to make the purchase with the addition of the 3 year upgrade option.

Based on your post above which said upgrade protection can be bought as follows, "at purchase time you can do so for 15/25% of the purchase price" I calculated that 2 years could be purchased for 15% of our purchase price of $44.40 which amounts to $6.65 or 25% for 3 years which comes to $11.10.

However, the maintenance plan in the shopping cart is not being related to the purchase price and 3 years is being priced at the full rate $18.50 and not $11.10 based on purchase price.

I have not made my purchase at this time pending your response and hopefully the cart charge being updated accordingly.

The maintenance prices are calculated based on the current retail price at the time you purchase the respective maintenance package. Today's promotion on BitsDuJour is a special case, and the "purchase price" in my first reply should indeed have been "the current RRP".

In light of Gonzo pointing out the maintenance upgrade issue, all I can do is make this a "begging letter" to you John to extend the discount to the upgrade protection part so that is does become 15% or 25% of the "purchase" price depending on whether one takes the 2 or 3 year option.

Hopefully, that is also a win/win for you too as more of us will be encouraged to take that option :-)

Currently Forms creation is only supported through MSOffice 2003 webforms conversion, but once the new Viewer is released at the end of May, we are working on providing plugins for the new line including a forms designer, being developed later in the year.

I was able to access the original invoice online from the original e-mail I received but I did not see any maintenance information on that.
Perhaps the invoice you intended to send but has not arrived including in my junk mail folder, is different.

Perhaps you can try again please.

Is there any way to convert images to PDF without altering them or inserting them in a page? I mean be able to create PDFs in the same way as "Image to PDF" do (http://www.noliturbare.co...age-to-pdf).
Is it possible to extract images from a PDF without reconverting them? Similar to "AVS Document Converter"
Is it possible to edit PDFs (remove an image, text, etc) without converting them to other editable format?
Is there another way to convert web pages to PDF without using your Internet Explorer toolbar or using the printer and lose links?
Is it possible to add PDF's link content to the bottom of the PDF? The link's context menu only has two options: "Open URL in Browser" and "Copy Link Location" (Add Link content to the PDF).

John Verbeeten We anticipate there will be a simple forms editor option allowing you to modify existing form fields and add simple options and parameters - but the full PDF Forms design Plug-in will when released be an optional item with a price tag of approx $12-15 retail.

Mr Jay Mr J - Hi I have read great reports about PDF-XChange so I tried the Viewer v2.5.201 but on launching it it gave a Blue Sceen STOP 7F.
I tried the portable version next and it did exactly the same. I also tried an earlier PRO version which I had meant to try ages ago (v4.0165.42.2) and it also gave a BSOD. When this happened the 1st time I had Opera and Chromeplus running. I Lost Opera Bookmarks (which I managed to find eventually in a tmp file) and the Chromeplus preferences had become corrupt and it deleted all my Extensions. Rather annoying. (I am running Windows XP SP3). I have looked online but can't see a solution to this. Any help would be very welcome as I would like to give the product a chance especially with the discount today.

The PDF-XChange 4 PRO includes MSOffice integration of which the Internet Explorer is a part of. Using IE the program installs a toolbar icon in IE for converting webpages, preserving the embedded links.
