The software is completely customizable, so you can choose to be alerted via audible alarm if a server goes down, but via email if it's just a printer.

For admins that require strict recordkeeping, you'll be pleased with Ping Assist Pro's ability to retain alarm logs, ping logs, and ping statistics (stats are viewable in tabular or graphic form).
