Whether you’re a teacher looking at a stack of papers to check and grade, or a student who’s pulled multiple all-nighters and needs to make sure you didn’t accidentally copy and paste an entire paragraph of your source material, you need a quick way to check for plagiarism. And there’s no better, no quicker, no easier way to do this than with today’s discount software promotion, Plagiarism Checker X!

Plagiarism Checker X automates the detection of plagiarism in documents, research papers, blogs, and websites, giving you results in just a few seconds. With Plagiarism Checker X, you can fight the growing trend of work that’s just been copied and pasted from a different place on the Internet – it’s not just academic papers, either, because it’s become an all too common problem for popular blogs.

It’s easy to get started with Plagiarism Checker X! Just paste content or load a document into the program and hit the analyze button, then sit back as Plagiarism Checker X runs every sentence through all of the major search engines. In just seconds, you’ll have a comprehensive report in HTML format that’s complete with offending sentences and their original source. Plagiarism Checker X even color codes the level of offense, from blue and yellow text indicating “mild” cases of plagiarism, to a glaring red that is indicative of pure theft!

After you purchase Plagiarism Checker X, it may be used for 12 months.

Thanks for your kind clarification.

Louis H Based on the following from the BDJ "Fine Print" section.....

"After you purchase Plagiarism Checker X it may be used for 12 months and will not function after that."

....am I correct in understanding that this is a yearly subscription license? In other words, next March I would need to pay $29.95 (current cost) in order to use it for another 12 months, and if I do not renew, the program ceases to function?

While it would certainly be nice to have a chance to purchase additional years at a discount, I understand the need to use a subscription approach for the kind of software this is. I am only asking to make sure I understand, correctly, future costs.

Thanks

Richard Paul @ Louis: Thank you for sharing your concerns. Our product license is based on yearly subscription which means you can enjoy the product for the 365 days. When it expires, you can renew it at existing price of that time.

Our product existing price is already very minimal, We hope you can understand. If you go for online web solutions. They will charge you MORE THAN $7.95 for each document checking. But with Plagiarism Checker X, you can unlimited documents for the whole year.

Having said that, We value our customers, we will compensate you as much as we can.

Claudio Estrugo Yearly subscriptions for this kind of program is definitely a no-no.

Richard Paul @Claudio - Our product is not like system utility base application. It requires consistent maintenance and time to time up-gradation in the form of updates. I Hope you can understand the reason behind yearly subscription, this is why we are not offering life time license.

Our team objective is to provide performance and quality results but Not to give life time license that has no value for the customers, when they don't get 24/7 support and updates.

Tony Haynes Program certainly of interest, but for teaching use, the yearly subscription requirement is off-putting, sorry!

Chris Roy Jackson @Louis H
I think that what Claudio is saying is that Subscriptions are acceptable and understood for a product whose company is supplying a continuing Service (such as Anti-Virus or Firewall continuing to detect and provide frequent updates) to the Customer/Client.
While software such as this that just searches the Search engines does NOT provide that level of Service that warrants a "Subscription Model" !!!
If it works as described, This Software TRULY Automates the process of searching for the "Requested Material". But a Subscription??? Come ON !!!
Even if Changes need to be made to the software Search algorithms periodically to keep it current with how it can best accomplish the desired results... They CAN'T be THAT frequent!
A better Model would be to Upgrade the software as necessary and provide Free updates for (say) a year. After that, you can still use the version you currently have you can continue using the software "At Your Own Risk" (with the possibility that you may be missing something if you don't buy the upgrade to the new version. MOST customers who USE the program regularly (or even "from time to time" WOULD buy the upgrade ANYWAY! But NOONE likes to feel like they are being FORCED to upgrade or LOSE what they already Paid for !!!!

Chris Roy Jackson Regarding Update ( http://plagiarismcheckerx...on-history ):
On that page I see 19 version updates between
September 30, 2013 and November 27, 2013 (several on the same day).
of those 18 were "Bug Fixes" and only 1 new feature ("Encryption Base64") was added on the last recorded day of updates.
Was the product "under development" until then? Have there been any updates since November 27th? If so the "Version-History" page should be updated to let your customers KNOW !!

If the software is now "bug free" and only requires occasional "tweaks" to accommodate changes in how the search engines will accept requests from the software, etc. (and if there is an "Adequate FAQ" available to the users, then the demand on the developer's time should be at a minimum except when it is necessary to Trouble-Shoot operation on a new OS under beta testing!

JUST My opinion... but one that is likely shared by many!

On the PLUS side, it looks like the Developer plans on staying in business a while as his Domain ( plagiarismcheckerx.com ) is paid up until 17-dec-2019 (while many domains are going "ONE year at a time")!

Question: For the "Trial Version" (on your website "Buy page") what does "Limited words" mean? How many words are allowed in the Trial version ???

Louis H As to my request to Claudio, I do appreciate your response, Chris, but my desire was to hear a more reasoned explanation from Claudio. I find there are far too many negative comments made these days for ANY program that some folks take objection to and it is far more useful to me if they take the time, as you did, and explain WHY they make a negative or less favorable comment about something.

All in all it is now a moot question as the discount has come and gone. For the use I would make of this, not being able to use the version available to me for the one year license after that year is up made it a hard to justify use of my limited budget at this time. (I have retired in the past few months and my disposable income has changed dramatically. My stress level has, however, decreased dramatically as well and is more than worth the trade off!) I liked what I was able to play around with in the context of the trial version, but knowing it is a yearly subscription service where I simply do not know if my future use of it would justify renewing, I passed this time around.

None of the above is meant to come across as a negative towards either the Vendor or the program itself. I like the program for what it does and the vendor is free to choose whichever business model he chooses to. I am not sure I would be using it that much, at least for the year I would be paying for, and that is why I passed this time around.

Now that I am retired I find I am writing more and considering all the various ways available for self publishing. Having learned from friends who have had their writing copied and pasted without proper credit, I do understand how valuable this type of program can be. I therefore do not fault the vendor for going with a yearly subscription model. And while I certainly appreciate vendors who also offer a discount here for purchase of a multiyear license, I also accept that many small vendors simply cannot afford to do so.

It all comes down to what value will I personally get from a program and does that value justify the allocation of part of my own limited budget. If this was the type of program that I could continue to use even if I did not renew it next year, I would have picked up a copy without question. Choosing to not go with a purchase right now is NOT meant to come across as a negative reaction to the program nor the subscription business model. It is purely a rational cost/benefit analysis for me. Should I ever start more actively publishing my writing online, that analysis would no doubt change.

Thank you, again, Chris, for your responses, and thank you, Richard, for the opportunity to get to know your program, and for your willingness to engage with folks with questions.

Sean Brannon Based upon their "Features" description, it appears to be a simple aggregation of search hits from multiple search engines. i.e. the software doesn't work in conjunction with one of the content aggregators like Turnitin. This makes me think that the value of this software is low as it doesn't have access to books, student papers, etc., other than those that are indexable by a webcrawler.

Greg Istered Could you speak to your comparison to copyscape? Certainly they are not charging $7.95 for each document. Am interested in your product, but as Louis H intimates, being able to renew at the $17.95 would be best.

Thx, G

Richard Paul @Greg - I can just say, "You cannot compare MAC with WINDOWS. Each product has its own benefits and flaws. There are services that are even offering Plagiarism Checking for FREE but that does not mean their product is worthless and that's why they are charging less or giving us for free. Every product that is built has its own worth and has its own value depending upon the features and quality.

Richard Paul @ Greg - As for as ranking and accuracy of any product is concerns. You have to evaluate it by yourself. You know well, Most of the ranking websites are based on the commission from the vendor. The more vendor will pay, these website will give you the high rating. Its harsh but true unfortunately true.

If you want to check quality of our product. Please check few of the reviews that has been given by some leading software publishers.
http://plagiarismcheckerx...or-reviews

But Again, I would say, If you really want to compare the quality of any product. It is better compare you by yourself by testing the products personally.
