QueryCell
Run SQL Queries Right From Excel
Let me ask you a question - how do you go about using your Microsoft Excel spreadsheet data as part of a database? Probably the same way as everyone else does, right - export the data to a flat file, then import that into a SQL database and then go about your business. What would you say if I told you that one simple plug-in could turn Excel into an SQL database application?
It's true! With QueryCell, you'll be able to run SQL queries against your spreadsheet data without ever leaving Excel! And these are real SQL functions, too, like Group By, Min, Max and Avg. You start by choosing which spreadsheet cells should be queried as tables, or let QueryCell define them for you. Then, just type the SQL that you wish to use into the SQL Editor, hit run, and your results show up in a new worksheet. Step three - there is no step three! You're done.
QueryCell is so flexible, you may never need to export data to an external database application again. For instance, you can run a single SQL query against multiple worksheets and workbooks. You can devise custom tables that allow you to specify column data types and names. Your most often used SQL statements can be stored as part of a template library for easy access!
