RSS Channel Writer
Create, Edit, and Submit RSS Feeds
You used to be able to generate a good level of traffic to your website just by posting content updates on a regular and consistent schedule. This was back in the days when folks would come across your site and like it enough to bookmark it in their internet browsers, and you could count on being a regular stop every time they fired up their computer.
But now, we're faced with information overload - there are so many websites out there, the original purpose of browser bookmarks has been lost. People now regularly visit hundreds of websites on a daily basis, so many that it's impossible to bookmark and visit each one individually. As a website owner, you need to separate your signal from all of that noise.
As necessity is the mother of invention, RSS feeds and RSS feed readers were born. Instead of visiting each individual website, RSS feed readers, such as Google Reader, bring the newest and freshest website content to the viewer. All a website needs is an RSS feed, which is a small XML file, and a way of notifying (pinging) the feed services whenever new content is posted. That's where RSS Channel Writer steps into the spotlight.
RSS Channel Writer helps you automate the task of generating, editing, and submitting RSS feeds for your websites. With RSS Channel Writer, you'll not only be able to easily and automatically produce the XML file that contains your RSS feed, but you'll also be able to upload it to your web server using an FTP manager that's integrated into the program! To start, just enter your website's URL, and RSS Channel Writer's Autocomplete function fetches each of page of your website, along with its description. Use the WYSIWIG editor to tweak the description and other details to your liking, and voila, you have an RSS feed! You can even use RSS Channel Writer's integrated HTML and XML preview ability to see what your site's feed will look like to browsers!
Once you've uploaded the RSS feed to your server, RSS Channel Writer pings the included list of RSS servers, which lets them know that your site has an RSS feed and directs them to check your feed regularly for new content updates on your site. Different RSS servers link to different RSS readers, so the more servers you ping, the more traffic you'll bring to your site! Watch your traffic numbers increase dramatically with RSS Channel Writer!
