How Do You Really Spend Your Time?
Do you ever feel like you're wasting too much time on the computer, but not know why? Are you constantly losing track of how many billable hours you work? Whether you want to improve your productivity or just fill in a timesheet properly, you need to know how you spend your time. TimeSprite shows you exactly how much time you spend on your computer and exactly what you're spending that time on.
TimeSprite operates by recording the titles of each active window while you work, intelligently grouping and displaying similar ones. In addition, you can create your own groups into which you can place each associated title. You can view a summary of your time, a journal or diary for keeping your own notes, and weekly or monthly timesheets.
Once you have a clear picture of how you spend your time, you can decide where you need to make changes. You can even set reminders to pop up after you've spent a certain amount of time on a particular activity.
TimeSprite includes a number of features to protect your privacy. First, the recording process can be easily paused or halted at any time. Second, you can define your own activities in the TimeSprite Monitor. When one of these activities is selected, time is recorded against that activity rather than the active window. Third, you can search for and delete any information that has been recorded. Finally, TimeSprite doesn't record keystrokes or any other content from your windows other than the title bar itself.
