"My manager looks at me like I'm God when I say that I can build and deploy his gargantuan business application in less than a day..."
Tell me if this sounds familiar: your developers are all very good at what they do, but when it comes to building and deploying... not so much. And the bottom line is that a haphazard, ad hoc approach to building and deploying your application is a recipe for trouble.
What you really need is a method that is automated, repeatable, and consistent. Visual Build delivers on all of these counts.
Visual Build is an application that lets you automate the tedious tasks associated with building and deploying applications. Whether you use Microsoft Visual Studio, Embarcadero Delphi, Developer Studio, RAD Studio, Delphi Prism, or C++Builder, you'll find that many of the processes that used to require hours of manual work can be easily set up to run automatically with Visual Build.
For example, Visual Build can perform version control, check-in/out source code, and register type libraries and .NET components. It can compile help projects, deploy applications, and perform builds on an automated, scheduled, remote, or continuous basis. And when it comes to distributing your applications, Visual Build is perfectly capable of creating installers for your software, burning physical media, creating ZIP archive files, and writing files directly to a website, network path, or FTP server. Everything that you're used to doing on a manual basis can be automated, and performed more consistently, using Visual Build.
Visual Build keeps a log of all build activities, so if something goes awry, you'll instantly know where to look to fix the error. The success or failure status of each build can be automatically sent to email addresses or posted to newsgroups, so there won't be any unpleasant surprises waiting for you when you get into the office.
Save your development hours for developing! Use Visual Build to clear your schedule of all of your manual build and deployment tasks today!

Looks like a very nice product. Does it allow me to do multiple step builds? 1. Compile a Delphi App 2. Build a Installation using INNO Setup 3. Send up to my Website via FTP. It would also be very nice if I could update the projects - like changing the Delphi Appication version information - and change some of the text in the INNO Build. Bradley MacDonald
Yes, that's exactly what it's for. Updating of versions and properties when building Delphi projects, settings and definitions in Inno Setup files, generic updates to text files, and FTP/SFTP uploading are all built-in. http://www.kinook.com/VisBuildPro/Manual/delphiaction.htm http://www.kinook.com/VisBuildPro/Manual/innosetup.htm http://www.kinook.com/VisBuildPro/Manual/filereplaceaction.htm http://www.kinook.com/VisBuildPro/Manual/ftp.htm
Assuming I have a certain compiler, your tool currently does support, e.g. Delphi 2010. In case some times later, when VisualBuild came to version 8, I decide to buy Delphi 2012: Do I have to upgrade VisualBuild to be able to build my programs with Delphi 2012 or can I still use VisualBuild 7.x? Or are the supported tools kind of script-programs users can modify and include in VisualBuild to allow them to run it with other or updated tools too? Can I include my own 'compiler', read moremeaning a self-written tool, which creates from a given file (source) another file (destination)?
If we need to update Visual Build to support a newer version of Delphi, and the update is part of a major release (i.e., v8), there would be an upgrade fee for that version. http://www.kinook.com/support.html The built-in actions can't be modified by the end user, but you can add your own actions for calling other compilers and tools. http://www.kinook.com/VisBuildPro/Manual/userdefaction.htm
Mark -- the Buy button is now enabled (I think there was a temporary glitch on the BDJ site).
This is a great deal! I've used Visual Build in the past and it's the bee's knees for automated complex builds. (No relation, business or otherwise, with Kinook or employees thereof...just a happy former user :).)

I am having more than one version of C++Builder on my system. How can I choose the C++Builder-version (e.g. the location of the compiler-program) when adding a 'Make C++ Builder' node to my project? I tried, but VisualBuild always seems to use the newest version.
Yes -- see the Override default location field on the Options tab. http://www.kinook.com/VisBuildPro/Manual/delphioptionstab.htm
