I believe Jan Goyvaerts has declined earlier requests from BdJ to offer PowerGREP at a discount. Perhaps he and other reluctant developers would be willing to offer their more expensive products on a time pay plan. This would ease the pain for us software junkies paying with personal funds.
PowerGREP for $50 per year x 3 years. As usual, version upgrades would be covered if released within the first year after purchase.
