Howard Beard Powerful screen shot capture tool.More than just simple screen capture, Snagit empowers you to communicate faster, clearly explain concepts, and archive digital information. All with point and click convenience. You can easily capture, edit, share and organize a screenshot of exactly what you see on your screen. Adrian Williams Try ashampoo's Snap 4 as an alternative. Probably less expensive. Install the trial, extend your trial by giving them your email address and wait for the extra discount email part way through the trial, usually 20% or more.

Preston Mitchell SnagIt is far superior to Ashampoo Snap v5.

I own both software. SnagIt is the Rolls Royce of screenshot software. Its capabilities are incredible. PLUS SnagIt includes a photo editor that is pretty amazing too. SnagIt is super feature rich.

Snap 5 is very nice for a fast 'down & dirty' screenshots (for when I need something better than Windows 7's native Snipping Tool but not as 'heavy-duty' as SnagIt). Also, Snap is much less expensive than SnagIt.

If I had to delete one software, I would kill Snap and keep SnagIt. So, if one can afford SnagIt, that's the way to go.
