Jon Koerner Agree - truly a must-have. I too use this multiple times every day. They have a Std and a Pro version, both for Windows & Linux platforms. I got the dual-platform Pro version.

Mike G The best of it's breed IMO. Powerful, well-designed and easy to use for simple or complex comparison/synchronization projects. I even use automated Beyond Compare scripts as part of a load-balancing infrastructure for a Web application that wasn't designed for for load balancing!

T Raynor I agree with all of the above. When migrating from my old windows home server to the new one while combining files from an external drive it was invaluable.

J S I Gots too agree I've used this wonderful program and found it was fantastic EXCEPT that it didn't copy over the exact file/folder date and time onto a different harddrive or Partition ...

But when I asked the Scooter Software people about this they took my concerns to heart and created the TOUCH facility which can now be found on the right-click context menu and although its slightly confusing to look at first it does exactly what I need which is to copy the exact time and date (but you must carry out a refresh first).

NOW when are they going to offer their program on Bitsdujour????

Mitch Kite Beyond Compare was originally offered when BDJ was still in its infancy. I picked up a license then and would like to buy another license at a discounted price. I have been waiting anxiously for Beyond Compare to return.

D T I have been running version 2 for over 5 years. I haven't even looked to see what has changed. It saved me a couple of times this week alone to help rebuild some missing source code that I inherited.

I will need to upgrade soon though. I'm doing more development work on Windows 7, and the old version can't put a context menu in Windows Explorer, which is a major loss of functionality.
