The RRP for Winoptimizer 8 isn't $49.99 - it is $29.99

(and version 9 is available for $39.99), so 80% off the RRP of version 8 is closer to $5.99 (unless this offer is supposed to be for Winoptimizer 9 - which for some, probably would be a good deal at $9.99)

Phil North So I'm seeing 100% off here, that means free but I don't follow the pricing here as WinOptimzer 8 is RRP $29.99 and WinOptimizer 9 is RRP $39.99.
So I guess if you want to upgrade to Version 9, there will be and upgrade fee.

Might be worth getting a few "free" licenses - considering Ashampoo lock their software down to each PC.

Phil North Generous offer indeed but if 9 has already been released, will there be updates for 8.
If most people are like me, they will want the latest version so I take it, we will pay $49.99 for this or is there a lower upgrade fee from 8 to 9.

Yes, no problems running them both at the same time. My Cacheman is allways running and I use WO8 when needed. It never gives me a problem.

A decent offer, competing with Glary and WinUtillities and others.

Gizmo does not say in the text (maybe in the responses) the reasons he did not recommend WinOptimizer :

For me, I prefer having the tools chosen more individually than a many tool suite.

Anyway, as usual, I would suggest passing on any automated registry cleaning if you use this. With that caveat, it can probably do a lot.

Also be careful on on tweaking Windows settings, be sure you know what you are doing and preferably check if there is a return to default option. There is always a problematic aspect if you get too aggressive there and do not fully know the issues.

T Krafcik Signed up for the free software with 15 minutes left on the countdown. About 3AM. Went to bed expecting email response in the morning. Email was there, sent around 6 AM. Downloaded software, went to web page to get activation code and was told deal had expired! What gives? I "purchased" software in the deal time frame.

feral1 I received and email back from bits with instructions. I download3ed the offer. Two days later I went to install it and the Ashampoo site returns a page that the offer expired. There was nothing said that this HAD TO BE INSTALLED by a certain date.

Are you going to give me or rather us (see post above) a method to activate this offer. Right now I feel this is a gathering of responders effort and not a legitimate offer. Please respond within a reasonable time here.

If this is the case that there was a time limit involved, why wasn't that mentioned in the offer.
