Have you ever wondered how you could integrate all of your information into a larger superset of organized data? Think about it - all of the websites that you find useful are organized, yes, in your Bookmarks or Favorites list in your browser - but they're completely separate from your important documents, which are kept in your My Documents folder. Likewise, your favorite photos are in your media viewer, and noteworthy email messages are in yet another application, whether it be Outlook or an online mail program.

When it comes time to take in The Big Picture, you're still running back and forth between all of these services and applications. With myBase Desktop, you don't have to, because everything you need is stored in one place.

myBase Desktop is a freeform database, notes manager and outlining tool that helps you to organize unstructured text, web pages, images, documents, emails and many other files without limitations on length or file format. You can pack myBase Desktop full of data, because your information is compressed on the fly and stored in an intuitive tree hierarchy. Once you've captured all of your stuff in one place, myBase Desktop lets you organize, retrieve, search, and share information like never before!

Please note folks: there is a significant improvement which has been brought to the web-collect add-on ( that allows to capture and save web contents from Chrome/Firefox with ease.

This promotion includes the following:
myBase Desktop 7.x for Windows ($79)
myBase Desktop 7.x for Mac ($79)
myBase Desktop 7.x for Linux ($79)

Peter User I installed the demo, created a new database and tried to import some MS Word Documents. Received message 'Failed to convert the following document(s) into HTML formatting - for EVERY file I tried. The documents were simple letters, nothing complicated. Word is properly installed.
I like the concept of this software, but I need to be able to import my Word documents. Can the author offer any assistance?

Tomasz User @Peter User - have the same issue - but have you tried using clippoard monitor from capture menu? It works quite well.

Peter User Tomasz,
No, not tried that, however the main function should work too and the lack of response from the developer is concerning. I think I will give this deal a miss.

Constantin Florea @Peter User, I just forwarded your issue to the vendor asking for his help.

wjjsoft support The ms-word importing tool was built with earlier versions of ms-office interop APIs for back-compatibility, that may have problems with newer versions of ms-word. For later versions we'll try to update the ms-word interop module. For now, it's recommended to import word documents as attachments by selecting the "Attachment - Add attachments" menu item; Or try first to save word documents as .html documents within ms-word, and then choose "Capture - Import files as child items" menu item; Or use Ctlr+C/V to capture the ms-word contents (or use Clipboard monitor); Or, try temporarily installing old versions of ms-word (e.g. 2000, 2003) on a PC or in a virtual machine for importing existing ms-word documents. @Peter

Peter User I am using Office 2016 - hardly cutting edge! I'm afraid none of your suggestions are helpful. I haven't got an earlier copy of word and would not want to install it if I did.
Demo uninstalled. I won't be buying when the offer comes around.

Re: "Demo Uninstalled"

I think that a pre-sales demo is a great idea, and would like to see it applied as widely as possible to all your offerings. Looks to be a very helpful addition to your remarkable website.

Bernhard Fine Print says: "Each license allows installation on 3 computers, but myBase Desktop 7.x may not be used at exactly the same time on each of them."

Does this include a mixed installation on Windows and Mac?

MojoMan Hi,

Are there any changes that make a captured webpage render as it actually appears when captured. Previously it was unable to capture the format of the webpage with the content.

Also, is there a way to import pdf files and have them display in the program without having to rely on an external viewer ?

Mar 26 at 5:31pm Copy Link
wjjsoft support @MojoMan Current version supports HTML, Rich Text, Plain Text and Markdown, but not PDF. PDF documents can be added as attachments and need an external viewer.

MojoMan Hi again wjjsoft,

So are you saying it does render a webpage just as it is seen in a browser ? I ask because I tried before and it did not do so.

As far as the pdf issue.... will it store the pdf within the database ? Is there any way (preview handler, java util, etc) that it can be viewed within MyBase?

thanks, Jay
