What are people saying about Professor Teaches Windows 10

Flash Gordon ...have used "Professor" since Win 98 - provides a good foundation for learning an OS / application from which you can move on to more sophisticated usage techniques / configurations.

Issue with this application: appears to be designed for a wide screen monitor with a 16:9 aspect ratio and doesn't automatically resize to a 4:3 aspect ratio.

Constantin Florea @VLM - The tutorial set requires the discount code to be added in the "Check to enter coupon code" field from the Buy Now page. The coupon code is shown when pressing the "Buy Now" button.

Herman Carnell McCrea I echo Colin Pritchard's unanswered question of 11 hours ago: what differentiates the two products? Do I need one, the other or both? I see where Broderbund sells the product on CD for $19.99 yet it doesn't mention tutorials as a separate entity. Thank you very much in advance for your time and trouble in the timely resolution of this question/issue.

Lee Anon There's about 12 minutes left on this deal. It may be the best deal in the world but support seems to be non-existent. Guess I won't be buying this. Thanks anyway, BitsDuJour.

Brian H Hi All- had the exact same questions as you regarding this offering- and also very disappointed to see no vendor presence to answer pre-sales questions & concerns. :-( But when in doubt, my motto is to go to Google or Amazon for answers- and in this case I believe the latter gives us some insight. Amazon offers "Professor Teaches Windows 8 Tutorial Set Downloads" and their product description says it covers Windows 8 *and additionally* "Internet Explorer 10" tutorials (thus, making this the "set"). So it appears that id you purchase the "Professor Teaches Windows 8 Tutorial Set Downloads", you will get *both* "Professor Teaches Windows 8", and "Professor Teaches Internet Explorer 10"; so one does not need to buy *both* deals, as this would be a duplicate of product, as the "Windows 8" is already one of the parts of the "Tutorial Set Downloads", Hope this helps. -Brian

Roger Thomasson @ Colin

Take a look beneath the 'Total' on the payment page, you'll see that the extra 1.90% charge is a VAT. Whether or not this tax appears is dependent on your country of origin, and it will not appear to the vast majority of BDJ customers. We don't like it either, but that extra 1.90% doesn't go to either BDJ or our vendor partners - it is a source of revenue for the country you are purchasing from.

VLM Constantin Florea - Thank you. I have the discount code. Of course, now the links themselves don't work. :) All in a day's adventure ....

David Vaughan It appears that Professor Teaches Windows 8 ($7.49) and Professor Teaches Windows 8.1 Tutorial Set Downloads ($9.99) are two different products. Is there any reason to buy the Windows 8 product if your are using Windows 8.1 operating system? Is your 8.1 product missing anything that is covered in your 8 product?

Also, the offer currently reads, "Professor Teaches Windows 8.1 for PC - Learn Everything About Windows 8.1 - 50% Off - $7.49." This should probably be fixed?

Looks like a helpful product.

Up Allnyte I'm still a bit confused about the two different products you are offering. The name "Professor Teaches Windows 8.1 Tutorial Set" it sounds like if I buy this version I will be buying a product to teach others how to use 8.1. Your reply to David sounds like the only difference between the two versions is that the one with Tutorial in its name differs only by including Professor Teaches IE 11. The names are slightly confusing to me. I just wanted to clarify this before I made my purchase. This offer sounds like what I've been needing to teach my relatives and neighbors how to use 8.1.
