You may have come across screen recording applications before -- you know, the apps that let you record everything that happens on your computer desktop. But what did you really do with those recordings? Record silent videos of your mouse gliding across your smooth, app-laden landscape? Did you pick up a microphone and do a voiceover? Well, with ScreenCamera Toolbar, you can record you on-line conversations and chats, record and stream your desktop, all while providing play-by-play audio and video with your webcam!

As a desktop recorder, ScreenCamera Toolbar is second to none, featuring an intuitive toolbar offering single-click access to a variety of functions. You can choose to follow the mouse cursor, or select any active window or region of the desktop. Plus, with the ability to capture video on the webcam AND the activity on the desktop simultaneous, you'll be able to build impressive and helpful video tutorials in a snap!

ScreenCamera Toolbar differs from all other high-def desktop recorders in one critical way: it also serves as a video camera with it's lens focused on your Windows system, allowing you to share your desktop captures on the web with anyone using free video-conferencing and video-streaming apps and websites like Skype, UStream, and LiveStream. Pretty cool!

And for real-time instructional videos, you can pair ScreenCamera Toolbar with your webcam to broadcast yourself and your screen activity!

In addition to all of its great applications as a video tutorial recorder and streamer, ScreenCamera Toolbar also works as a webcam splitter, letting you use your webcam on multiple applications simultaneously!

ScreenCamera Toolbar opens a whole new world of possibilities for your webcam in a lightweight and intuitive app! Once you try it, you'll wonder how you ever got along without it.

Please note: for an additional fee business owners can purchase the ScreenCamera SDK which allows the application to be automated remotely.

Please note folks, Microsoft trusts ScreenCamera enough to list it in their Center of Compatibility!

Tom Colvin I presume that one can record a video with audio, save it -- and then convert it with another program to YouTube format for uploading. Is that the right procedure to post to YouTube?

Does this program have an edit feature to allow some clean up editing AFTER recording?

Alex Ferri 1. Actually the video you can see upper in this same page was recorded to WMV direcvtly by ScreenCamera, and with no conversion at all, it was uploaded to YouTube already in YouTube high definition resolution. 2. No, it does not.
Tom Colvin Thanks Alex, glad to know that YouTube accepts WMV files.

I really like the picture-in-picture feature. As far as I know, that's not available in any other reasonably priced software. With an edit function, I think you'd have a real killer application. Even without it, I'm almost certain to buy it when "sale day" comes around.

Alex Ferri Yes, YouTube accepts WMV files and if you submit them in 1280x720 or 1280x800, then they are automatically uploaded in HD format. ScreenCamera records in 1280x800, and that is what I did. The entire process of coming up with the video idea, recording it, and then have it uploaded to YouTube didn't take 5 minutes. You should also know that you can also use ScreenCamera to record your webcam in high definition.
Alex Ferri Just recorded another video to teach you how to set ScreenCamera to be your webcam on Skype:
http://www.youtube.com/wa...YONwniCkSc

Nothe that ScreenCamera can be your webcam on any video chat application/ video website.
Tom Colvin I played around with ScreenCamera for several hours yesterday and was very pleased with the results. I've been looking for a screencasting program for several months -- even bought a couple of books about screencasting to help me understand this type of software better. I think I've now found just what I'm looking for.

It won't be for everyone. It's chief feature is its ability to show both screencast and video from one's webcam in picture-in-picture format. For me, that's perfect, as it will allow me to introduce some personality into what might otherwise be a dull video. I plan to post my first screencast to my blog on Saturday.

For someone interested only in the screencast itself, this program may not be the right one, as it lacks some of the graphics bells and whistles of other programs, such as the one offered a few days ago at Bits du Jour. Also it lacks an edit feature, but does have a pause button -- it's really important to do an outline of your presentation before you start recording.

For me, this kind of deal is what brings me to Bits du Jour all the time. ScreenCamera is not widely known yet -- my own research for screencasting software did not turn it up. And with the discounted price, I feel that I can afford to buy and use it for awhile as an extended test run. THANKS Bits du Jour.

Patrick Revel Does it allows also to record videos and pictures of games, like fraps for instance. Are there any hotkeys for these purposes when we put a game in cd reader and starts playing. What are the policies of updates. Are they any split and join features oincluded.
Apr 9 2010 at 3:42am Copy Link

Alex Ferri ScreenCamera does not record DirectX surfaces like Fraps does, but it does allow you to program kestrokes to start and stop recording. Updates are free for one year as well as support.
Alex Ferri The video issue coming out upside down may be corrected by changing the record format. This may not be related but some video messengers such as Live Messenger inverts the video output so ScreenCamera also provides the option to invert the video output on the Configuration > Video Output tab, maybe that is selected, so have it unmarked in case it is marked.

As to the ability to purchase right away I have sent you a direct e-mail with instructions.

Alex Ferri I have not yet seen such behavior. Change the video recording format to 'WMV Best Quality' and verify if it starts recording correctly. Also, select the entire screen, and a smaller region to make the tests. It might also be your player that is playing the file with a wrong codec. Record WMV, verify and let me know.

Dave Korpi Please tell me how this is similar to Jing and if you save the file as an MP4

Alex Ferri ScreenCamera captures photos, records the screen, and allows you to share your real-time screen capture on Skype and other video conferencing services by being a webcam on your system. Jing allows you to capture and upload photos and share them over the web browser, so the main difference is that ScreenCamera allows you to share live screen capture, and Jing allows images to be shared in real-time as far as I know, but I don't use Jing so I may be wrong. ScreenCamera records video in AVI, and WMV.
Jeff Benes Great! Thanks for the info. Do you take PayPal? Unfortunately I have to transfer funds into my PayPal account. Is there any way I can still get the discount? Also, what's the maximum amount of time it will record in one session?

Alex Ferri Yes, it is possible. There is no time limit but you should select to record the video in WMV format to optimize size if you are going to record video for a long time.
Tom Colvin The offer today reminded me to check if an update was available to the program, which I first installed back in April.  When I opened my original installation, I was prompted to download the free upgrade.  I've installed that, but I'm getting a message that the driver is not installed.  I read you user manual about how to solve this -- and duly checked Control Panel>System>Hardware and found that the setting was already properly set.

The program seems to start up OK.  Is the error message I am getting a "bug"?

While I have not used the program as extensively as I had planned last spring, I still like Screen Camera a lot.

Alex Ferri I don't know the reason why that happened, but here is how you may solve it: Uninstall ScreenCamera, then open Windows Device Manager, bellow Sound, video and game controllers, right-click the mouse over 'ScreenCamera HR' if it is in there and select 'Remove ', then remove the folder 'Program Files \ScreenCamera' manually, then reboot your PC, and then install the latest version of ScreenCamera from scratch.

Alex Ferri Actually you can request keys from inside the app very easily, 1-2 step really, so I believe you would change your mind after using it. I actually designed it to be as quick and unpainful to the user as possible. To request new keys users can simply do like in this demonstration:

Louis H Ok, I have 1AVCenter for some time. My registration had expired and I decided to pick up a copy of Screen Camera with this deal (Better than the 50% deal with the trial version.) I made my purchase - installed the newest version - and I do NOT get a screen allowing me to proceed with registration. What I get is a screen that says.......

The security key for this program currently stored on your system does not appear to be valid for this version of the program. Select Yes to enter a new key, or No to revert to the default setting (if any.)

(NOTE: I had participated in a Beta for this program but did not continue with it and removed the program from my computer. I think it may still be seeing a registry entry for the Beta version and thus will not let me proceed with registration to get a new key. I must say I do NOT like this convoluted process required in order to register the program.)

If I hit no I get

This program requires a security key. if you have one, select OK to enter it. After entering a valid key, you will not be promoted again.

If I hit ok I get

enter the registration name and key below, exactly as given to you.

Hardware fingerprint ####-####

buttons are OK Cancel and buy now

There are NO buttons or screens as stated in the email that say...

'Send REGISTRATION-KEY to my e-mail (On-line)'

Louis H Went through the registry and found all sorts of left over bits after doing an uninstall. Problem is some are related to 1AVCenter and others clearly associated with previous version of Screen Camera (One was the beta I mentioned and the other was a version of Screen Camera I had from a GAOTD promotion some time ago.) This program definitely does not do a very clean and complete uninstall!!!

Four times uninstalling. Twice through the registry. I still cannot get it to ask me to "Send Registration key to my email."

Not a happy camper right now. I really do not like programs that require me to jump through hoops in order to get a registration key so that I can use a program I paid for. I like PCWinSofts programs. I do NOT like this kind of registration system.

Louis H Let me be clear to folks... I KNOW that the developer will get this situation straightened out for me later today. I've worked with him in the past with another issue with another PCWinSoft product and he is very receptive and helpful in finding resolution to problems.

My frustration, however, remains with the convoluted method required in order to get this program registered and running.

(Even with an invalid security key (left over from the beta or GAOTD version) it does not give me the option to send for a new registration key. The only option it gives me is to enter a new key - which I can't get because neither of the two methods mentioned in the email i received after making the purchase come up as an option. )

(And whatever the "security key" that this new installation is seeing as not being valid is labeled as in my registry, it's not one of the keys I have been able to identify by searching my registry for either PCWinSoft or ScreenCamera.)

Alex Ferri Just arrived at the office. So, here is what you have to do: Send me HARDWARE-FINGERPRINT. Run the program, close the Buy Now dialog, click the Register button, then mark Enter REGISTRATION-KEY, click Next, and you will find the HARDWARE-FINGERPRINT in the middle of the dialog. Send me the HARDWARE-FINGERPRINT and I will send you the key.

Alex Ferri There is no comparison table at this time but here is brief description:

1AV products are subsets of 1AVCenter. 1AV products capture ,monitor and transfer video. ScreenCamera captures video and installs a webcam on your system that is compatible with programs and websites like Skype, Ustream, and any other. So, 1AV products are stand-alone products and ScreenCamera is also a system video capture device.
Michael K I passed on this offer last time it was on Bits Du Jour because I really could not get a handle on what this really does.

The video does not explain it well enough for me to "get it". Perhaps the video could be updated and be more comprehensive and detailed.

I don't know where I go from here and would very much appreciate getting a better understanding of Screen Camera, it's capabilities and benefits.

Thanks

Alex Ferri ScreenCamera is a regular screen capture recorder with the advantage that you can use ScreenCamera to share your desktop on the Internet. ScreenCamera installs a video camera device on the Windows system that can be opened inside Skype, Google video chat, and all programs and websites that support webcams.
Brian H Hi- "1AV products are subsets of 1AVCenter" So does this mean that if one purchases 1AVCenter, they eseentially will have all the features of the individual products you offer in one, all-inclusive package? Thanks,

Does ScreenCamera 2.0 support Logitech Vid HD? I am not at my home computer/computer with Logitech Vid HD right now; otherwise I would test compatibility with the trial version.

Thank you…

Alex Ferri Yes. ScreenCamera supports LogiTech webcams, and yes, a pathway can be worked out.
Wally L I think a lot of people have looked at previous PC Winsoft promotions which showed the item as promoted for the 24 hours by Bitsdujour AND it also displayed one or two other PC Winsoft products (one of the being 1AVCenter) at substantial discounts if bought on the same order/day as the BdJ promoted item.

There are enough questions here about 1AVCenter to probably make Alex think about offering it at some time in the future.

What is the cirrent version of ScreenCamera and when was it last updated OR is there a new update just around the wings?

Alex Ferri ScreenCamera current version is 2.2.

ScreenCamera will have an important update in the near future bringing a great number of new features.
Alex Ferri ScreenCamera had an important update: ScreenCamera no longer requires admin priviledges to execute and now it also comes with a powerful scheduler.
Catherine McClarey I saw in a response by Alex to an earlier question that ScreenCamera "does not record DirectX surfaces", and thus would not be suited to recording newer computer games. What about older games, f.ex. those played within DOSBox? And can one record both the game audio and one's narration at the same time with this program?
Jun 6 2012 at 3:30am Copy Link

Alex Ferri Yes, you can record games played on DOSBox with narration and picture in picture if you want.
digitaltrix Hello,
I was checking out the site and it seems that Screencamera.net your other product, has a lot more user settings and functions for the same price as screencamera.
Can you explain in simple terms if it cannot be used for programs like skype as well because it seems to have more functions that are useful like multiple monitor, image overlay support and much more.
That would be a great deal for this bitdujour IMHO.

Alex Ferri ScreenCamera.Net has a reduced price celebrating the recent product release. ScreenCamera.Net took 3 years to be born and will soon have the ability to animate elements much like Adobe Flash. For now they both cost the same because ScreenCamera.Net has a celebrational cost, it should change overtime.

JK Flanders The BDJ "Download trial" link is not working: first it downloads a file of about 6 kb, then one of 3 kb, etc. Also, I don't see a program called "Screen Camera Toolbar" on the author's website. What's goin on here?

Alex Ferri You can download from here:
http://www.pcwinsoft.com/...nstBDJ.exe

About the name: ScreenCamera Toolbar is ScreenCamera on the website. The 'Toolbar' suffix does not show on the website but they are the same product.
Catherine McClarey I just downloaded the paid version of this via BDJ this morning, and I have 2 new questions:
1) Although the program does apparently allow users to record just the desktop (or a window/region within it), just webcam input, or both, it seems to assume that all users will have a webcam. I don't (at least not on the desktop computer I do game capture videos on). Will I need to add a webcam to my desktop computer to make ScreenCamera Toolbar happy, or will the screen capture portion of it work even if the program doesn't detect an installed webcam?
2) I changed my display to 32-bit color to install ScreenCamera Toolbar, and most games I do game capture videos for are OK with 32-bit color. However, the game I'm currently capturing will run in a window (thus making it much easier to view the controls for the screen capture software) only when 16-bit color is enabled. From the system requirements, it sounds like ScreenCamera Toolbar will only work when the display is set to 32-bit color mode - is that correct?
Jun 9 2012 at 4:52am Copy Link

Alex Ferri ScreenCamera works without the webcam without any problems. It captures, records and shares the desktop capture. The program does not require a webcam to be used on the PC.
Cheryl Rutherford Does this software record live streaming via the browser (Firefox)? I guess I am confused by all the comments, etc.
Jun 9 2012 at 1:39pm Copy Link

Alex Ferri Yes. You can select the area inside the browser where the video is playing and record it.
Cheryl Rutherford AWESOME! Thanks! I will purchase it now!

BTW to Stefan Weber:
PayPal is the perfect choice for me as I hate entering my CC info thru a website I do not know and I just don't trust it. But, PayPal is another layer of protection PLUS you never pay any fees - the seller does. Also, if you want to send money to ANYONE, like a family member or friend, select the GIFT option and there will be no fees for either party!

I am in a lottery group and have been for a couple of years, at a company I worked for up until 3 years ago when I retired. I send in my lottery money every 3 months via PayPal and select the GIFT option and the transaction never gets charged a fee by either party (receiver or sender).

So, PayPal is really the way to go!

Thanks

Alex Ferri The ScreenCamera SDK allows the automation of ScreenCamera and it has 2 main benefits: The first one is the benefit of having one unique key that registers ScreenCamera on all your office PCs. The second benefit is that one can easily include desktop and webcam capture and recording into a 3rd party application. It is simple to integrate. It works with Microsoft ActiveX technology what makes it highly portable, and for small office environments its cost starts at only $200. Of course this cost is negotiable. If you have interest get in touch with me at publisher{at}pcwinsoft{dot}com and we will discuss further details about it.
Gunderic Hagen I understand the part of how much it costs but not the use or the benefits. Can you provide an example? Where would this camera be bought?
Oct 31 2012 at 6:10am Copy Link

Alex Ferri Many companies use ScreenCamera to communicate between members so that nobody has to get up their seats to talk over documents and in this sense the SDK brings the benefit of not having to request keys: One key installs and registers ScreenCamera all over the office. So that is one purchase scenario.
The second purchase scenario is when a company wants to add screen caoture to their aplications without having to write code for it: ScreenCamera SDK has an object model that allows the 3rd party application to record and present recorded screen capture and webcam capture to the end user without ever showing ScreenCamera's interface. It gets integrated in such a way that the end user will think it is your application that is making the capture and recording.
A third purchase scenario is a company that purchases ScreenCamera SDK to integrate in their desktop sharing solutions because of ScreenCamera's ability to provide a video camera and thus eliminating the need for the company to write code to capture the screen, this scenario is quite often and it usually involves Adobe Flex and Adove Flash Media Encoder to do the Internet sharing part.
I hope to have made myself clear but if not then let's proceed with the questions.
Jeff Titamer Alex, I just ordered the software and didn't get the download page somehow. Checked my email and nothing was in there either. Signed in to PayPal and yes I got charged $9.95 for it so how can I get this fixed. I think I lost the page due to some sticking buttons on my keyboard, not sure but something major went wrong cause I didn't even get a chance to download it. Now that I think about it, I may not have been logged in when I purchased it, does that matter?

I suppose you are going to need the tracking ID, here it is.

Alex Ferri The twist about ScreenCamera is the video camera it creates on your system, just like a webcam you buy at the store except ScreenCamera points at your desktop so you can share your desktop on Skype, UStream,TV, Blog.TV, AIM, PalTalk, CamFrog and any app or website that works with webcams.

Before ScreenCamera you can share your face on one program at a time. After ScreenCamera you can share your face and your desktop on multiple applications simultaneously. You may even share both at the same time because ScreenCamera supports PiP (Picture in Picture).

Let me know if you would like any more information.

Alessandro
Jeff Titamer Thanks Alex,

The letter with all the information in it went to my other PayPal email address. I guess that's what will happen if I don't log in and make a purchase as long as I have two PayPal email addresses.

This software should be perfect for online marketers who wish to show examples of their products and introduce themselves all in the same video or better yet, for doing Webinars. Imagine having several people in your organization who are going to appear in the same webinar all doing so without leaving their office.

Lee H What are the differences between ScreenCamera Toolbar and ScreenCamera.net?

And how do these products compare to what many consider to be the gold standard in video capture, Camtasia?

Thanks for your response.

Alex Ferri ScreenCamera is a lightweight toolbar with the main purpose of creating narrated tutorials that can be turned into live real-time screencasts due to its video camera output.

ScreenCamera.Net is a video studio in real-time built upon a layer-by-layer object-oriented frame-by-frame technology proprietary of PCWinSoft. It works similarly to Adobe Photoshop when it comes to the layer-by-layer architecture and it works similarly to Adobe Flash when it comes to frame-by-frame animation architecture.

The objects supported by ScreenCamera.Net are: Desktop capture from any available monitor, webcam capture, one or many, movie files of any extension, audio tracks of any extension, IP cameras, TV tuner card video, video device attached to TV tuner video via S-Video, Composite or HDMI, image files of any extension including PNG, text stamps, date-and-time stamps, ellipses, rectangles and triangles. So you can play with all of these objects and drop them on the video output in the order you want with the ability to attach effects to objects such as fade-in fade-out, rotations, color changing, size and position changing. You can look real professional when you enter a video conference room using some basic features of ScreenCamera.Net besides the fact that it is fun to play with it. And ScreenCamera.Net has an embedded video player, image viewer, image browser, video browser and image printer. You can check some tutorials here: http://www.screencamera.n...tutorials/

The main difference between the ScreenCamera family and Camtasia is that the ScreenCamera family does not have a video editor. Apart from that I believe ScreenCamera.Net has more to offer to the end user then Camtasia does, but Camtasia takes the lead because of its editing options.

I hope this answer satisfies your question.
CJCotter I’m trying out your program. I selected a rectangular area to record, but because it didn’t fall within the program’s many pre-defined dimension options, the output video was resized into a more square shape. What I was trying to record included text, which became distorted. Please advise. Thank you.
Nov 3 2012 at 10:31am Copy Link
0
Alex Ferri You need to work with proportional ratio so I suggest you either select using one of the predefined rectangle sizes or follow the cursor around using the pre-defined sizes and while following the cursor if you have a mouse wheel then you can use it to zoom in and out.

ScreenCamera.Net always keeps the proportions and if the selected rectangle is not within proportions then it just fills in with a back color, but ScreenCamera does not have that built-in yet but it is on the TODO list for the product.

RikkieVanDeDag Hi Alex;-)
Seems nice tool, I wanna buy it, if test satisfy me regarding audio sync, who is always an hot issue when capture screen video.
Audio "time shift" ability to adjust audio sync problems is not present, so I wanna test before buy, you never know, perhaps this tool does not need any audio time shift ability's ?!
BUT I'm not able to try this tool.
I always get an error when I try to record my desktop???
I tried almost every video capture format (avi, WMV, Micorsoft video,...) even uncompressed but I get always this error message: "error could not start record" ... "the reason might be incompatibility with the codec, try changing the codec to solve the problem"
I found no solution in FAQ of your site.
I use W7 64-bit.
Disable Hardware acceleration? It seems not possible to change any setting. The troubleshoot tab include nothing adjustable. But that seems not an issue, the preview screen is not black, it shows my desktop properly.
Maybe you can help?

Alex Ferri The most likely reason I can think about is you are having an issue with the audio device. Do the following test: Remove the audio stream to record, go to Configuration Snap and record, in there umark the 'Include audio' box, click OK, then verify if the program records and let me know about it. If you will we could continue this conversation via e-mail.Mine is support{at}pcwinsoft{dot}com.

Alex Ferri For that specific purpose you should record in WMV format and choose or edit an encoder to have the audio around 32 Kbps and the video around 500 Kbps. With these settings you should get a high quality not too large file at the end of the recording.

Alex Ferri Answer to Joe Salerno: Yes, it does.
Loyal User Hello Alex,
Downloading, installation, registration, and activation went fine. No issues. Thank you.

After activation and restarting the app, I tried to chek out the program, and here is what I got:

1 - A dozen (11 or 12, most annoying) small windows popped up(identical windows) saying "PC display driver is not compatible with ScreenCamera video engine therefore ScreenCamera will run in 'Capture Transparent' mode.

2 -The video source window also popped up (The next step is open your video conferencing software, and select 'ScreenCamera Video Camera' as the video source).

I understand the second one. So it is not an issue.

For the PC display driver, I'm a little perplexed.

Machine info:
Dell XPS-15z, Intel i7-2640M, 2.8-3.5GHz, 8GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GT 520M 2GB display card, Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, SP-1.

All software, Windows, and drivers are up-to-date.

Why is the display driver not compatible?
I have never had any compatibility issue with the display driver at all.

Note: I am using and external Samsung 24" monitor, connected through the DisplatPort.

Alex Ferri In response for Loyal User. I was not aware of multiple windows popping up but if you got that message it means ScreenCamera can't stay hidden to the system and it is captured ibside the capture window. It only happens on some Windows 7 installations.

In response for G. Calamita. Under Windows 10 you must reboot after installation for the driver to be installed correctly.
Loyal User Alex,
You did not address the driver compatibility issue ..

Are you minimizing the problem by saying "It only happens on some Windows 7 installations"? That is not a comforting answer.
That means to me the software is still "buggy".

Thanks.

Loyal User Thanks Alex, but I don't know what "facts" you are referring to.
Nov 15 2015 at 10:56am Copy Link

Alex Ferri The main fact I am referring to is that the CAPTUREBLT Windows API flag which allowed to turn on and off the capture of transparent windows like ScreenCamera had being disabled starting in Windows 7 so I managed to find a solution that unfortunately does not work on Win 7 but works for Windows 8, 8.1, and 10. I really went to distance on this but it became technically impossible so I had to let it go.

Colin McAllister Hi,
Why does a screen capture utility need to "update" my programs?

Ashampoo Snap 5
Firefox
Memopal.exe
Memopal Crawler

I can cut some slack with Firefox, as that often needs to be closed during installs, and Ashampoo Snap has a screenshot function so that sort of makes sense, but I use Snap Version 5 because it does what I need and I have no need to update it - plus updating to the latest version will cost me and open me up to another torrent of Ashampoo marketing emails that I don't want.

Memopal is an online cloud storage program. My account there contains many files and there is NO way I would let an unknown program access those.

So can you please explain what you meant by "update" my programs and why you need to do this? Thanks.

Alex Ferri OK, Thanks for the heads up. I will check it out.
Doris User The problem is not with the website itself, but rather with the lack of detail when it comes to finding/downloading the program.

First of all, I expected an email with directions on how to proceed - the email simply contained a link for activating "the password of the control panel" ... not even sure what that means.

Secondly, once I got there, I was apparently already in the system, but without a password, which I was forced to enter. Yet . one . more . password ....

Third - once I finally got in there, I realized that I was on a page with all sorts of products, none of which were actually named: "ScreenCamera Toolbar" ... looked around, and didn't find one by that name.

Fourth - I did some reading, and discovered that the "ScreenCamera" program has the same description, so I figure it *must* be the one which is being offered today (right?) ... but now I'm faced with yet another choice: which of the three links do I click? 1) Purchase ... 2) Evaluate ... 3) Information ... ?????

After going through all that, I remembered that there were similar problems the last time I deal with this company. Really people - you just need to explain the process better, because at this time, the lack of explanation simply causes people to want to avoid dealing with you in the future. Review your process in your mind, and ask yourself: "If I were seeing this for the first time, would it make any sense to me?"
Jan 13 at 8:37am Copy Link

Alex Ferri There was a division of the product which was called simply ScreenCamera to 2 different programs which was unfortunate because it created confusion at the time. We will work in improving the workflow of our processes.
Heidi-Ann Kennedy-Fourkiller Next problem. Finally it let me into the control panel and found my order got the fingerprint in place and was getting excited. I tried the captcha to send the key six times. each time it said wrong No it was right each time and even had someone look over my shoulder after third time. They agree it was right. Hell guys I'm a retired Science and Technology operational director. This is just mind-boggling to say the least.

Doris User Re Marie-France User ... I can second the frustration she's experiencing. While I opted to continue receiving the emails from PCWinSoft, those who do not want them have no option but to mark them as spam. Not a good thing. Unsub links should work, for both the sake of the company sending them, and of the recipient.

Alex Ferri ScreenCamera works on Windows 8.1 . I have it installed and running normally under Windows 8.1 . Can you tell me more in details?
Gunderic Hagen I just tried to download the trial to see how it works and got a screen saying that my trial has expired(!), Buy Now, etc. When I clicked on exit I got ....nothing. Pretty confusing. Why do you do that?

Alex Ferri That happens because you have trialed ScreenCamera on the past. Send me an e-mail at supportpcwinsoft.com and I will respond with an extension key which will give you 10 more days to test it.

Alex Ferri I sent an extension of trial key to a Eduardo Belgrano, hope that is related to you.
Gunderic Hagen I downloaded the trial version but when I try to install it, I get a message that the software needs a Ram of at least 256 MB. My computer W 7/64 bit has 16 Gb of Ram........ What is going on?

Alex Ferri Let's make a remote support session via TeamViewer. Contact me at supportpcwinsoft.com and we will set up a date and time for me to connect to your PC and check it out if it is OK with you.
Greg Newell I like the idea a lot but after using the trial, I would not be happy. Screen kept blacking out during the recording. I tried reducing the framerate (which I shouldn't have to) and it didn't help. I'll stick to Jing and Camtasia. (yup camtasia is a LOT more expensive but flawless).

Yousri Yacoubian When I click on the 100% off deal in my email, it takes me to 60% off page with $19.98 after discount. In the Fine Print says "Your discount coupon code will be applied to your purchase when you click the 'Buy Now' button". So, I tried to finish the deal hoping that the discount voucher would be applied automatically but it still wants my Debit/Credit card details.
Unfortunately, this is NOT a 100% OFF Deal

Roger Thomasson Sorry folks, the 100% deal was available yesterday, November 15th, for 24 hours. It is now available at a 60% discount.

Constantin Florea @Yousri Yacoubian, Could you please send us at notify@bitsdujour.com the daily deal email you received today 16th of November 2015 in which ScreenCamera Toolbar is present?

Yousri Yacoubian @Constantin Florea, I'm afraid. I deleted the email when it didn't work.
I promise you, it was in today's offers, as a business email, I check my emails more than once a day.
Today had 2 free offers, this one as well as the Wordpress one.

Constantin Florea @Yousri Yacoubian, When this happens again, please forward the email to notify@bitsdujour.com letting us know of the issue.

I am also subscribed to receive both Mac and PC deals and in my case the latest daily deal email mentioning ScreenCamera Toolbar is from 15th of November 2015 at 8:37 AM EST (that's 5:38 AM PST). The email I received was sent correctly because the ScreenCamera Toolbar promotion started at 3 AM EST on the 15th of November and ended 24 hours later.

Constantin Florea @John Goodwin, I am sorry about the issue. The actual purchase URL had the correct prices. Only the prices in this promotion page were incorrect. I updated the prices in the promotion page to match the prices of the purchase URL used.

Alex Ferri The price of ScreenCamera is $49.90. On the time of the promotion we were trying out a new price to verify if there were an increase on conversions and the result of the experiment was that the low price was discarded and the old price came back into play which is $49.90 but I can offer you ScreenCamera for the price you want $11.90. Send your request to pr[at]pcwinsoft[dot]com and I will reply with a link to purchase ScreenCamera for $11.90.
Terry User Clicked on the buy now deal and no discount, seems to be kind of a ripoff.

Doris User Mr. Ferri, I waited all day for a reply from you, and now the "deal" has passed. I was not the only one who waited. And now, even the thread of comments from the January 13, 2019 offer appears to be gone.

I'm not sure why you would put up an offer, and then not follow through when there are issues with customers actually taking you up on it.

You would get far fewer complaints if you simply ensured that you've provided *clear instructions* on finding/dealing with/downloading your software ... and your lack of dealing with some of those who weren't able to navigate the instructions you did provide has certainly not made you any happy customers.

Since the entire thread from yesterday's offer is gone, I felt that, in good conscience, I needed to write this message for there to be a warning/reminder to those who may deal with you in the future.
