When you have to wait for your computer to finish a job -- especially when you spend what feels like hours staring at a progress bar, it's easy to lose focus. Especially when you're trying to focus on work.

Fortunately, TeraCopy Pro copies, moves, and stores files much, much faster than you can log on to the internet, get in a bidding war, download a game, and ultimately find yourself wondering what happened to your afternoon.

TeraCopy Pro works seamlessly with Windows Explorer, calculating source and target files to maximize your computer's efficiency. TeraCopy Pro helps you keep a clean and secure system by automatically skipping any bad files discovered during a transfer.

And no more hours lost to a botched batch transfer accidentally aborted by an errant keystroke or cancelled by a hibernating computer.TeraCopy Pro can start, stop, and pick up where you left off with a single click.

TeraCopy Pro copies files faster so you can work faster. And who doesn't want to work faster?

Tortuga @Oleg Smirnov ~or~ anyone who knows

Can anyone confirm if the new version keeps all original dates for all copied data ie Date Created & Date Modified ?
There is someone on the Code Sector forum that asked if there was a setting on the new v3.0.8 to keep Date Modified, but no one replied.
Makes me wonder if maybe the new version does not keep original dates as default or if a setting was eliminated.
I need a programme that keeps ALL original dates, preferably as a default settings - just in case one forgets ... ;)

Thank you in advance

Petr I'm using the Pre 3.x version and love it.
I also would like the answer to Totuga's question before I upgrade.
Also, looking to purchase for another PC...

P C I'm using the 3.08 Pro version (bought the Pro license years ago). It keeps the date/time modified for all copied data by default (no extra setting).

Nigel Blumenthal Is there a listing somewhere of the differences between the demo/free version and the Pro version of the software? Also, on your website, there seem to be two strands of TeraCopy - the version 3.0.8, but also a 2.3. Which is the current one, and what are the differences please? Thanks in advance.

Heidi-Ann Kennedy-Fourkiller Been a Pro user for years and very satisfied. Very useful to copy / move files over the network.

Adam P According to their product page, "TeraCopy keeps the original time and date of files when copying."

Main difference between Pro and Free that I see:
- TeraCopy Pro is required for commercial use
- Export reports Pro - Save file lists with all related information as HTML and CSV files.
- Edit file lists Pro - Unnecessary files and folders can be removed to reduce the transfer time.

Cary Adams For everyday use I've been using FastCopy (always free). What advantages are there in switching to TeraCopy Pro for the everyday user.

John User RE: Mappi75 Does it works wit Directory Opus 12 ?
Answer:When I installed It there was a check box for that.
I got the impression Directory Opus 12 saved all file dates too???

RE: Cary Adams For everyday use I've been using FastCopy (always free). What advantages are there in switching to TeraCopy Pro for the everyday user.
Answer: LOL I was confused that's what I have been using and works fine & keeps all original dates. I can't set the options to copy/move without an annoying verification step. I though I was getting a Pro version of that.
Now both are are on the menu so will try TeraCopy Pro & see.

P C RE: John User This looks like the answer we need! Any fault with the newest? As a usual practice, I always turn on the 'Always test after copy' option. It works fine in all copy operations, PC <--> PC, PC <--> NAS and NAS <--> NAS.

mix624 Any other explaination of how much faster this is than Windows copying than "much, much faster" ? To vague description for me.

Watched videos online and it looked like a few seconds faster than windows copying. Wonder why they dont demonstrate the great difference better, maybe because there is no great difference ?

Petr I've been using Teracopy for years. It is faster AND gives excellent options for copy jobs: Pause, Verify... and Details. With Details you can view results for each file and see if there are errors.

The benefits are speed plus control of the copy job. A time saver when doing large copy jobs. Also, gives peace of mind so you're not wondering if a certain critical file was copied successfully or not.

Adolphe I'm through trying to help fellow users on this site, by taking on my time to explain what I like in programs I know well and I find outstanding, when they are offered here.

If comments on other software get censored in a completely random way, because they happen to be critical of the product, then why do you think I would go on contributing other, positive comments ? Or any comments at all, for that matter ?

This has happened far too many times.
