John Link worked OK for me, but the file doesn't - I get a msg. that it cannot be installed in a blue box. :/

Does this require 64-bit and/or Windows 10???

I'm on Windows 8.1 (since PC doesn't support 10), and it's in 32-bit, as it crashed the Windows installer trying to do 64-bit.

Install it, then use the registration key that you got from BDJ in email, and use that email address, too.

This works fine for me when the 32-bit one failed on Windows 8.1 for me...

I don't know if this will do the trick on 64-bit PC's/Windows 64-bit, but give it a try!

Does the bought registered version also need no challange/respond activation ?
I have no internet connection on my computer where it should be installed, so I need a full installer and register procedure without any problems.

D Tess When I register i get an error "E-mail and registration code verification failed with error code 221."

When I run the software after clicking Done, the program offers to let me buy it. When I cancel that box, settings shows it is registered.

When I close the program and open it up again, I have to do all of the above again as it states that it is a Trial.

Robert Crombie I installed into W10 Pro 32bit
It runs OK (mind you have not attempted to anything with it)

I doubt that I have a proper/real video card, but my video display is fine for normal windows display (and playing videos on YouTube).
After installing your program, I get the message that there is no supportable hardware on my computer.
Will I still be able to use your program ?
Or at least some parts of it ?

Molly_Digiarty Sure, you can use our program. There is a special technology called Level-3 Hardware Acceleration, and if your pc has the supportable hardware, the operational speed will be faster. Constantin Florea @Cathie User, I noticed you participated in this promotion using a wrong email address. Basically when you typed yahoo, you added an extra "l" and the email address was: ......@yahool.com instead of ......@yahoo.com. I transferred your purchase to the correct account and resent you the receipt email for your purchase.

Since you may still be logged in with the incorrect account, please log out and login again with the correct account. The correct account has the "bonliu5" username.

Linton User I've found when using the programs 'editing' feature, that video content can only be edited (cut/joined) to within a few seconds of the desired cut point.

It CANNOT be used to edit video to any exact, specific frame unfortunately.

I'm using v3.3 that I purchased in August or early September.

Hopefully an updated version will, or has already corrected this issue!

Perhaps someone with a newer version can post their experience with the program in this regard as to whether that's the case or not.

Linton User I currently have the v3.3 giveaway copy installed on my desktop pc.

How to I go about updating / installing this newer v3.5?

Can i simply update the program and then enter in this new License Key to re-activate it... or will I need to fully un-install the previous v3.3 copy and then separately install this newer v3.5 Version f the program?

P.S. There are several of us who have asked various questions... please can the Developer try to answer some of our questions?

Dierk Sunday, Jan 12, 2020: The VideoProc web connection appears to be down, at least from our area (SE Michigan, USA): When trying to either Remove the existing license for VideoProc OR Activate the new version, the process times out with a message "Connection Closed."

Version 3.5 About page currently shows "Unregistered" and "Invalid License Code."
Note that the Ver 3.5 install DID carry over the Settings from the existing installation. (Video & Music Output Folders and Snapshot Folder - all of which are aimed at "custom" locations.)

"No supportable hardware on this computer" means you can normally use all functions of VideoProc without GPU acceleration. The cause of the problem may be resulted in that your computer's hardware(maily CPU/graphics card) does not support VideoProc's hardware acceleration.

Mr Dave Using Chrome, I also had trouble downloading. I found that if I right-click on the download link and then click "Open in new tab" that the download starts and is not blocked by Chrome. Although Chrome is blocking almost everything I download these days (need to click the arrow next to the message and select "keep"), I don't think the issue we're seeing here today is caused by Chrome. No message from Chrome.

Richard User Download problem is working a little better than recently.
Left Clicking on link (for Windows) did nothing however.
When I right clicked on the same link and selected
save as (in Google Chrome Browser) it then downloaded
as a zip file. Windows10 handles zip files internally/automatically.

Richy Just wanna say a few things re: download of Video Proc...
- received email with link and registration code immediately.
- downloaded; scan zip with Panda Anti-Virus; none found (only 2 files in zip)
- opened program. used the technicolor option on a video from YouTube: unaired pilot episode of The Big Bang Theory w."Katie" (YouTube vid looks washed out and dark).
- transformed in 2m30s; video looks beautiful. tweak video color more with my playback app MPC-BE x64 and now looks good as new.
- so it took 3 minutes to download, scan, and open...
- technicoloring video took nearly 3 minutes.
- I have nothing to complain about this product...so far.
It's a keeper, folks.

Richy darky User: you may be right. I've always been using Firefox and just upgraded yesterday to 86.0 (64b) and it was done in just a few. I never use Chrome for anything; my spare browsers are Brave (kinda clone of Chrome) and Edge (ugh!).

Molly_Digiarty @Bob Romanzo, VideoProc has two versions, one is Windows and the other is macOS, so is the product license. The error 222 occurs when the license does not match your computer OS. Heidi-Ann Kennedy-Fourkiller One slight little problem Digiatry. . . If one has an older version (VideoProc) before you renamed (VideoProc Converter) it will leave all the old files/directory. It does not uninstall or overwrite. Just removes some registry files so it doesn't appear in ones start menu. Suggest to all that is installing a newer version to uninstall first, or you will have to go to "program files x86" and find the uninstaller there.

Thanks for your sugesstion. Or try it this way, find the older version (VideoProc) in the start menu and run the uninstaller. The registry files/directory will be removed from "program files x86".

J Scott Looks to be an issue with the download not being from a secure server, so it's being blocked.

I WAS able to get it through Edge, but had to use the link from the email, and then specifically go to the Download list, click on the warning that it was not a secure download, and then click "Keep" and "Save As".

First let me say that this is by far the finest Video Converter I have used, and I have tried many. So, Cheers! and will be purchasing the Lifetime License soon.

Many of us use secondary Start Menu replacements (Start MenU X) which removed the older version from the start menu, so it doesn't list the old to run the uninstaller. It even was list on my uninstaller (Uninstall Tool). So going to PF86X would be the only way. Anyhow wonderful program indeed.

Adam P I had a problem with the download link as well. When I changed the address to https I got a warning about the security certificate, and had to tell Chrome to bypass the warning and download anyways, but I finally got the download, and the file installed correctly.

(FYI, it opens a pop-up window with NO URL, so most browsers just close it it seems, but tried this in one that showed it was given no link to download from.)

mer123 I had an issue with the download too. I use the opera browser and the link didn't work as directed in one of the emails. Then switched browser to edge and it refused stating that the link was unsafe. I bypassed the warning and was able to download. Ugh. I hope this helps others to work out the link issues.

Mr Dave Was anyone able to download the Windows file? I clicked the link in the email, took me to a new copy of the BDJ page with a box in the middle that said download would start in a moment, "click here" if it doesn't. Download didn't start after several minutes, so I clicked on "click" and "here", both looped back to the same place. No way to get the download file.

I hope they fix this the next time it's offered, disappointed for now. VideoProc is a great program. I'm confused by the naming, is VideoProc Converter the same program?

I then followed your suggestion to him and tried to download the program using Firefox.

The result?

Constantin Florea @Richard George, In case of incomplete downloads, I believe the solution is to delete the contents of the folder which the browser uses to download the files and then try downloading the file again.

Our storage servers use http://, that is the reason you receive that message regarding the connection not being secured.

I also sent you an email with the direct installer URLs however in the case of this promotion, you may download the files from the product website if you want, because they are the same with the ones we're using.

CthulhuSaves Download working fine on Vivaldi (a chromium browser). I did get the warning page, but just clicked "advanced" and then told it to download anyway. The problem might not be your browser, but corrupt cookies, extensions, etc.

Anywho, I'm curious, the program has an option to download subtitles, too, but it has never worked for me (I've actually used this program for some time). Is this a registration issue?

CthulhuSaves Yes. YouTube, Twitch, --no matter the site, when subs are listed as available to download with the video, and I check the box to get them, it just does nothing. Downloads the video just fine, but no subs.

A lot of videos have a live chat during their premier, and very often that live chat is also listed as available as a sub file, which got me very excited at first. Love that idea. But sadly, nothing ever gets downloaded, even regular subs.

I've been assuming that it was because I was using the free version. That it was probably a paid feature. Is that incorrect?

I've been using the free version for quite some time, and have literally tried to download subs on hundreds of YouTube, and dozens of Twitch, videos. It's never worked. Not once. (Multiple computers, as well). I'll send some example links to support, though.

Molly_Digiarty @Christian Koch, can you provide more details about the problem? Below are the steps to activate VideoProc Converter:
Step 1: Open VideoProc Converter, click "Register" button.
Step 2: Input your email and license key.
Step 3: Click "Activate" to complete the registration process.
Tips. if you input your email and key upside down, the registration won't work.

Larry W I'm ripping a lot of my DVDs to MP4 to be able to watch on my tablet at night and ran into a few so far that wouldn't rip. This software worked great on those and is faster with a smaller file size when done. Nice. The video looks the same quality to me, even on a large screen tv.

Molly_Digiarty @Michael User The video compression tool is a new feature since 5.5, but with the giveaway version which is 5.4, you can still compress videos by these methods: transcode mp4 to a format with a higher efficient compression rate, adjust fps, appropriately lower resolutions, etc. They can be used alone or in combination, depending on the compression scenarios. Meir User If I have older video footage that was converted to digital, can VideoProc Converter sharpen it any so that it is less blurry or seems a little higher resolution in the converted version? For example, if it was originally 600x400 resolution and it upscaled to 1024x768 is their a way to artificially smooth it out so that the upscale in resolution doesn't make it even grainier and more blurred?

jckinswo Looks pretty interesting. More tools and flexibility than I was expecting, especially for the license price here on Bits. Checked everything on their site. Looks good, been around a very decent amount of time and update regularly. They appear to have a good number of vid tutorials which is a plus as well.

$30 for a lifetime single user license? Like all good sites, they also have a sufficiently detailed version history. Hell yeah. I'm in. Bought Win version, downloaded and installed. Nice to have a smooth, professional process from beginning to end :-).

P.S. Just read the version discussion. I didn't see a direct link to their VH but after you click on the VideoProc link at the top of their main page you'll see resources to the right. Click on User Guides and the link, Updatelog, is at the bottom of the page I found it when looking over the guide page.

That page says the newest (as of 7 July) is 5.7, both mac and win and so does my installation. Ver5.6 was 14 Jun, 5.5 in March, and 5.4 in January. You can read what the diffs are between the free and paid.

Thanks for keeping this up an extra day! I would've missed it. $30 is super reasonable and it's NOT A FRICKIN SUBSCRIPTION, which I now hate passionately. Time will tell how good of a deal it is but I just don't see how you can lose on this this, no matter when you start using it, now or in 6 mos, whenever. Glad I popped in tonight!

JREAD Ordered, got the license key but when I went to the download page, my DL manager (Ant) DL'd an html page instead of an exe. When I tried to redownload with Ant disabled, I got a "you have downloaded this too many times" error. So now I have the key but no SW. Ironically, the last couple times it has been the opposite with the software being available but the vendor never sending the key.
