geo User Just some feedback for the vendor and to also help the conversation with the other BDJ users which many times myself rely on for their opinion and user experience with an offered product.

I was very much interested in trying this software. I don't have immediate need for a video editor but most likely will in the future. But I would immediately use the screen/video capture on the current laptop I have, hence ONE ACTIVATION.
Sooner or later this laptop will be retired, it's W7 and getting slow. So, if it doesn't last till a new one is bought a clean op.system install will breath some life back to it, hence TWO ACTIVATIONS. The new laptop will be THREE and if something else happens which in the computing world is a given THE FORTH. So according to the license hyperlink in the 'Fine Print' I would need TWO LIFETIMES. That was the deal breaker for me. This is the second time this week that stopped me from making a purchase of a given software.
Another thing that I noticed is that there was no $50 price on the authors website, instead was $19 when buying from them. That brought my confidence low enough to not make a purchase. So, why not invest in better license control that other vendors use like license uninstall codes, license server re-validation etc ? Just my 2 cents on this.

2. As we've mentioned above, in force majeure situations (new laptop, OS change etc.) we provide our users with extra keys on demand.

1. I am aware of that option for the free version, I was looking to make a purchase for the PRO, so within the PRO version the screen capture will work with out registering?
2. & 3 were not clear enough, left to interpretation so...always err on the side of caution especially when the offer is short leaved and it is a Sunday night !!

1. Pro is activated by entering a key to the free version. If in the first place you need Screen Capture, there's no need to activate it. Anyway, I can repeat that we always meet our users' request for additional activations, but we can't provide limitless access due to security reasons.

2. Under the screenshot, above the description there's a note in bold:

"Please note folks: this offer is for the lifetime license which is not even sold on the product website"

Sunday was a choice of BitsDuJour. We can't say that we're happy with this date.

Mustang Three days and still have not received my license. Support has been of no help. Regret this purchase and advise if you are on the fence about this program, steer clear and find a developer that is more responsive.

Johno Hi,
this new version of VSCD Video Editor looks improved on previous versions. I have already purchased one copy for my main pc. I am considering purchasing another copy, as I have some other pc's that primarily do rendering with some editing functions as well. I have watched some of the YouTube videos about some of its current functions and it looks worthwhile giving it a try. I do a lot of video editing and I have significant experience with video editing programs.

However, I repeat the question 'Softcollector' asked above, as I noticed today when I installed and activated the editor that it says "Licensed to Bitsdujour" in the actual program.
This is deceptive at the least. Nowhere in the Bitsdujour information on this page or on the page where Bitsdujour is confirming the details for your proposed purchase or similar does it tell you in fact you will not own the software, or that you are paying for the program to be licensed to Bitsdujour.

While I acknowledge the price is good for a lifetime license, its actually not cheap and not good if I don't actually own the software and the software is not licensed to me.
I have paid Bitsdujour in good faith for the program and expect it to be licensed to me as the purchaser.

Can you please rectify this situation. Thankyou.

Constantin Florea @Johno, For this promotion we are selling registration keys which the vendor sent us. When creating the keys, it is not possible to know the name of the person who purchases, that's why the vendor had to put a fixed text (in this case "Registered to BitsDuJour") which shows up the way you mentioned.

I have however just asked the vendor if it is possible to modify your key to show up as registered to your name.

Should I always online when using the editor? Because my firewall blocked VSDC and then it asked activation key. I put the activation again. Does it mean I cannot use the activation key again? Thanks

Could you please contact us at notify@bitsdujour.com with your order ID? The order ID should be present in the details of either PayPal (if you paid with PayPal) or your credit card company's data (if you paid via credit card).

Is it possible that you purchased using another email or email address?
