Failed Registration

Joseph User A week ago I got Allavsoft downloader from BitsDuJour but after installation, the registration info / license key is not being accepted.
Windows 10 Home 64bit.
When I enter the key I get a message "Registration failed"
What now?

You can install/register the software at any time. Upgrades to future versions of the software will require additional payment. Installing a new version may overwrite the existing version and invalidate your license key.

Joe User It turns out that after I installed the program, it updated itself to a new version that would not accept the registration code I have.
The trick is to not give the program time to update.
I got it done by launching and applying the key immediately.

Joe User In my case, I had to uninstall the program and re-install the original version that goes with the registration code I was sent.
I observed that the program updated itself to a newer version so the registration code would not work.
Try this.
I turn off your internet and install the program.
Then enter the code.
Then re-connect to the internet.
