keith lewis I tryed to download the trial version and AVG Internet Security stopped this action because of it having a virus...Most everything downloads on my computer as far as any software but this one stopped me and there was a message board up and I sent it to Artensoft..Makes me leary now that if this comes available for free and I try to download is the virus still gonna be there...I downloaded it twice thinking something screwed up and both times was stopped.. May want to look into this problem before giving it away..Thank you!!!

Software Guy Had the opportunity to get some shots from a high point looking down and the software did give a unique and miniature look. Definitely worth a try for fun.
Artensoft is also running a special deal on their Photo Editor and Photo Mosaic software. Now the photo editor field is full of all sorts of offerings from simple to complex, and this photo editor falls toward the lighter side. But it is useful as a second editor on a laptop or netbook, or as a good compliment to point and shoot users. What makes it useful is that it has photo management built right in (meaning easy and convenient). You can edit from the viewer and it has a batch processor. Read more here

If you want more features then check out focus photoeditor, or zoner photostudio 14 (they have a great free version). These have both been offered on BDJ in the past. Read about them on the all deals page by typing in the name.
And for fun check out the vicmans free Photo!editor which has some interesting photo effects. It might be getting old but it is still good. I like some of the special lighting effects. Kids might like the cartoon effects.

Software Guy @VLM - thanks for the kind words. Had to do a double take because I am usually on the receiving end of far more critical verbage. Antyway, I hope that some of my experience helps others. BDJ has a tremendous user base and it is always good to read what other users have to say, whether good or bad, about software.
