Amit 1) I tried it one a famous ie shell - maxthon and it does not bookmark their place. Can it be done ?

2) And can we bookmark web pages in other browsers too - as firefox portable and opera ?

3) Can we install on multiple personal computers ?

1) We have added support of Maxthon to our plans.
2) Bookmark Docs support Firefox and Opera (install version). We will add support of portable version too.

We have SumatraPDF in our plans and we will try to add to next version. Current version does not support SumatraPDF. But we support of 6 other pdf reader. And will be ready support for PDF Annotator next week.

Peter R I have updated my installation. When I bookmark an IE page now, Bookmark Docs starts IE and shows the top of this page; but I think it should show the line/place where I was when setting the bookmark. Or am I wrong?

Many web pages changes each day, for example twitter or news. Therefore information can move on page. Bookmark Docs opens web page in browser from top for web pages. If web page is pdf then jumps to precision place.

We planned show the line/place where user was when setting the bookmark as options (check box in bookmark's parameters dialog). Therefore you will can choose method of showing

Our plans are flexible. When we see that the same wishes come from many people we try to implement in the first place. Thank you and Peter very much for the question. We see that this is important issue and has maximum priority. We will try to implement in 1-1.5 month or may be more quickly.

Second of our important task is integrate Bookmark Docs's command to context menu of supported application. We planed to finish earlier but it's complex task. But we have fine progress. I hope soon we can release this feature.

umike It will be great if there is a way I can bookmark any type of file just like bookmarking an address using "Add new by address" feature.
It will be best if I can bookmark any file in file explorer using the right click menu or drag and drop into the bookmark manager.

VLM yaroslav chizh - I find your licensing policy a bit confusing. From the BDJ Policy tab:

- After you make a purchase of this BitsDuJour discount promotion, Bookmark Docs may be used indefinitely.

AND

- Upgrades to future versions of the software will be free for 12 months. For versions after that, upgrades will require additional payment, which will be discounted by 40%.

AND

- Support is provided for the lifetime of the product.

I did buy this product a bit more than a year ago but never got a round tuit, so I never actually used it. But I suspect that it holds considerable potential. When I received a renewal notice, I wrote to this effect, and your team was kind enough to extend my license for a year. Thank you.

My confusion is this: Is it the case that one can use the product indefinitely and receive support indefinitely (as indicated above), but only receive updates past 1 year via subscription? Is this your intention?

If yes, then my second question: If the subscription prices is discounted 40% and today's offer is discounted 50%, can one use today's offer, in effect, to renew one's subscription down the road?

Upgrade need just if you want to install new versions after 1 year period. All updates are free during one year.

Today we offer just license of Bookmark Docs. But notify us when you need and we give you special discount for updating more then standard.

does bookmark docs monitor changes of file locations (e.g. when moving a doc or pdf document from folder a to folder b - or alos in case of renaming the document or the containing folder - - or will all the informations be los, since the bookmark depen on the first choosen filepath?

Bookmark Docs does not monitor file location. Bookmark Docs just asks for file location 1 time if can not find file.

Once the user provides the location, does Bookmark Docs then remember the location within the file (assuming that it is the same)?

Also, if I have several bookmarks, and I tell the first one where a moved file is located, does the program then keep that information and apply it to the remaining bookmarks, at least as I open each of them?

Yes, Bookmark Docs remembers the location within the file.

Yes, you need tell first time only. Bookmark Docs stores moving of files and can find new file in new place by this rule.
