Extract any data, emails and URLs from files and the web

*** Today's Deal is a Facebook only special! Before you checkout you'll be asked to "Like" our Facebook page. ***

There are just some times when we need to get to a lot of information, and fast. As a programmer myself I find that I'm often doing repetitive tasks, continually copying and pasting from one file to another, or copying information off of the web to put into a spreadsheet. It's a drag, a pain and a waste of time.

With Data Extractor to hand you've got an easy way of doing these tasks. The application works by first choosing where you want to get your data from. You can choose a list of URLs, files, or folders.

Then comes what you want to extract. You can use text extraction to find text that's similar to what you've entered. If you're more advanced you can use regular expressions, which allow you to specify an exact pattern to be found. Then comes the fully fledged JavaScript rules.

The JavaScript rules allow you to extract data in any way from different webpages. If you're familiar with writing JavaScript for HTML pages then you should find the rules straightforward to write so you can grab any data from any website. If not then the application comes with some built in rules for doing the most common tasks, like grabbing email addresses, hyperlinks, image details, form details, phone numbers and more.

Today's Data Extractor discount promotion includes the following license types:
Data Extractor ($17.70)
Extraction Pack (Data Extractor, Email Extractor and HTML Text Extractor) ($39.30)

Watcher1924 @Nico Westerdale,
under a comment of yours in the old comments section it says "Iconico, Inc. Vendor" (Dec 17 2009 at 8:04am)
Aug 30 2012 at 9:05am
Nico Westerdale That's correct, Iconico Inc. is owned by me. I ran it first before starting BitsDuJour with Roger Thomasson.

Aug 31 2012 at 7:15am
Nico Westerdale Yes it only uses Internet Explorer.
BitsDuJour Admin - Aug 31 2012 at 7:39am

Aug 31 2012 at 10:54am
Nico Westerdale Yes it works on Win7 and the latest IE. I've updated the platforms list to show that.

Tom Chatterton Nico said: If you've already "Liked" us then you can still get the deal. Just click the OK button in the popup.

Nico - I went to Facebook and was thanked for the "Like" and clicked OK. It said to enter my info below with a downward arrow but everything was blank beneath. I'm running W7 64 bit & IE9's latest version. Any ideas on what I did wrong?

Thanks!
Sep 1 2012 at 12:25am
Frankie Song I had already "Liked" your page and pressed the "OK" button, but nothing is popup and everything is blank under the "click ok". Outpost Firewall is suspended. I have also tried on Firefox and IE9. Both are not working. How to fix it?
Sep 1 2012 at 12:42am
Donald Baker I clicked on like and was directed to a facebook page with the following details

Nico Westerdale The deal is now back on!
BitsDuJour Admin - Sep 1 2012 at 3:02am
Nico Westerdale We know that there are a lot of opinions out there about Facebook, and we've seen quite a few comments already here today. We've created a forum if you want to discuss Facebook and whether we should use it for deals:

The official 'should 100% deals use Facebook?' thread:
http://www.bitsdujour.com/view/id=18336

Sorry again for the technical snafu this morning (wipes egg from face). I goofed.
BitsDuJour Admin - Sep 1 2012 at 3:16am
Yousuf Altaf Whenever I click on the Get it for free button it takes me to the facebook page and then when I click okay it reloads the page.

Every time I click on it it just reloads the page.
BitsDuJour should fix this issue and put this offer back up again.
My opinion.
Sep 1 2012 at 3:45am
Merle One Thanks for having fixed the FB page !
Sep 1 2012 at 3:52am
Nico Westerdale Yousuf (and everyone), The earlier bug has been fixed. You might still have an old session so if you still can't get the deal please close and re-open your web browser.
BitsDuJour Admin - Sep 1 2012 at 4:01am
Nico Westerdale Reminder to everyone, if you want to discuss Facebook and whether we should use it for deals please do so here:

We'll be moving all non Data Extractor related comments over into that thread.

mike ireland For those having trouble with the facebook page; when it loads you have to use the drop down and pick todays app. After that I had to refresh the page then I was able to get to the regular download page and all went well after that.

Sep 1 2012 at 10:39am
Nico Westerdale Chris, I'm not really sure what problem you're having. After you click the "OK" button in the popup what happens?
BitsDuJour Admin - Sep 1 2012 at 10:53am
Brian Crumrine I have to say Data Extractor will be a nice little tool, I was able to write some simple javascript to extract table data from a web page.
Sep 1 2012 at 11:03am
internet explorer For some reason the installer for this program erased my 64-bit Windows 7 clipboard, so I had to go back and copy the serial again. Minor inconvenience, but something that should be cleared up if possible, assuming it's not required for the software's proper setup. Seems like I had this problem before with another Iconico app.

Zee Uptwist Thank you BDJ and Iconico.
Sep 1 2012 at 2:07pm
Richard Cavaney Just an update on my previous post, to say that everything now worked fine for me this time round.
Also to thank BDJ for the speed with which they acted on to fix the problems. When things go wrong (which they do for everyone and everything sooner or later) it is how things occur under pressure that shows how much care is being put into things. I think BDJ did a first class job with getting things back up and running.
Finally to say that although I don't agree with Facebook's privacy policies and would prefer not to have anything to do with them, at the end of the day it is surely up to BDJ to decide how to run things.
I will comment further about the loathed Facebook on the Forum http://www.bitsdujour.com/view/id=18336 .
Also a big thankyou to Iconico for the software.
Sep 1 2012 at 2:57pm
Chris Roy Jackson OKAY...
For those who may be having the same propblem that I was having...
If you typically "Right-Click" and select "Open in a new Tab (or Windo) in order to keep the Comments page open...
You can NOT do that here as a "Pop-up Window" will open up on THIS PAGE when you (LEFT) Click on the "Get it..." button above. Then follow directions as stated above !!!

Hope that helps someone!!!

barney Barnes It's nice, and possibly useful, but a per computer license is a show-stopper. I use multiple PCs on a regular basis, so anything that is not per-user fails.
Sep 1 2012 at 5:56pm
James Faris Very nice program. I will use this almost everyday. I don't use or like facebook either but I do have an account just for situations like this. Isn't it amazing how some of the smaller programs perform the best? Thank you.
Sep 2 2012 at 2:08am
Arlene Manduca Nico, you said the deal was back on because of technical difficulties. I've scrolled through page after page and can't find it. ??? Thanks
Sep 2 2012 at 8:17pm
Nico Westerdale Arlene, the promotion was on Saturday. Unfortunately you've arrived too late.
