Do you find yourself limiting your Internet experience out of abject fear of catching a computer virus or downloading an attachment that will compromise your personal information? Do you avoid purchasing any new or updated software because you're afraid it will irreversibly change your system settings? Well, today brings good news - FileStream SafeShield is here to make your Internet experience safe again!

FileStream SafeShield guards your computer against malware attacks, system errors, and your general run-of-the-mill catastrophic user error. With FileStream SafeShield you're free to browse the web, download files, and open programs without having to worry about your computer being damaged and without inadvertently leaving your login info behind. The program ensures that no malware gets through, no changes are made, and no unwanted files are left behind on your computer.

You'll be amazed at how FileStream SafeShield works! Simply put, it creates a copy of your Windows computer, letting you run wild across the plains of the Internet. When you're done, just restart your computer and POOF, that virtual copy gets erased, and you're back to your original configuration! If you're already using firewall, antivirus, and antispyware tools, FileStream SafeShield plays nicely with them, and augments your protection that much better.

CJCotter Do I have to have to have another hard drive connected in order to make this work?

Joe Miller No, you don't have to.

Danny This software can not run well on Windows 8?
May 21 at 11:52am
Joe Miller No, there is no Windows 8 version yet.

Stefan Hauber So, is a version for win8 in work?
Will it be a free update for today's buyers?
May 22 at 9:01pm
Joe Miller No info at the moment, updates are always free when available.

Danny I've been using: Zemana antilogger, Malwarebytes and Microsoft antivirus. So what is this application for me: redundant or complementary?
May 23 at 1:16am
Chris Hey Joe Miller, I purchased this from here awhile back and installed it and forgot I had it installed. I download a lot of graphics, pictures, etc. I shutdown my computer and when I logged back on the next day I had none of my graphic stuff and had to reinstall a program or two, lol ... How do I set it to keep my graphic images and any software I might install?

Also, you just said updates are always free, but "The Fine Print" says:

"Upgrades to future versions of the software will be free for minor versions only. For versions after that, upgrades will require additional payment, which will be discounted by 40%. It will be discounted only if you've purchased the last major version."

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Joe Miller Danny, in short, FileStream SafeShield restores your computer to the way it was upon reboot. You can seletively apply the shielding feature only to certain folders and drives. For example, you may choose to protect the entire C drive but not the D drive; on the C drive, you may excluse the Graphics folder.
FileStream, Inc. - May 23 at 3:49am
Joe Miller Chris, You may exclude folders. Changes will be preserved for the excluded folders.

Separately, we have been offering free updates for this software and expect to do so in the future, The fine print is what the policy is in general. It is different for each specific product.

Danny @Joe Miller,

O, but so does my MagiCure Professional too! So. ... obsolete!
May 23 at 6:39am
Joe Miller Danny, Magic Cube has been discontinued for many years - ever since 64-bit Windows came out. That featre has been incorporated in FileStream InstallConstruct:

Joe Miller Danny, Thought you were talking about FileStream Magic Cube. Sorry about the confusion, we have nothing to do with magicure. The link you provided does not come up with any information.
FileStream, Inc. - May 23 at 7:03am
Danny @Joe Miller,

Joe, does not give! MagiCure is a restore backup, which I have also active. So I assume that SafeShield is redundant for me! Or am I missing something?
May 23 at 7:11am
Joe Miller Danny, I cannot answer your question because there is no active site or information about MagiCure, it is not our product, it is not a popular product as far as I know. Besides, I never used it myself, neither do I know any user of that product other than you. So I have to close this discussion.
FileStream, Inc. - May 23 at 7:16am
Danny @Joe Miller,

I understand you!
But I as a consumer wants the best of the best!!!
May 23 at 7:27am
Joe Miller Danny, FileStream SafeShield is the best of the best, which is the reason BDJ features it here. You are free to choose what you like the best. With that said, the discussion here is about FileStream software products and FileStream SafeShield in particular. Again, please do not continue with this topic, which will not be responded.
FileStream, Inc. - May 23 at 7:38am
Danny @Joe Miller,

Joe, is good! I have no evil or ulterior motives! Sorry if it so happened to!
May 23 at 7:46am
Joe Miller Danny, For FileStream SafeShield, it is free for both updates and upgrades.
FileStream, Inc. - May 23 at 8:45am
Peter R The current version is from January 2011. Are there any plans for further development? Maybe the possibility to keep the virtual environment even when re-booting the system?

Thank you.
May 23 at 9:11am
Joe Miller Not sure what you meant by "keep the virtual environment even when re-booting the system?" The whole point is to preserve the original environment while exploring changes, For example, if one turns SafeShield on and goes on surfing, there is no trace on the computer where one has visited upon rebooting.
FileStream, Inc. - May 23 at 10:13am
Peter R I mainly use SafeShield to test new software. Some software require (and really need) a re-boot before working properly. It would be nice to have just a checkbox "Keep environment through re-boot?", so testing can start. When finished, just uncheck this option and boot again.
Would be nice, I think.

Danny SafeShield does the same as Rollback xr softwares?
May 23 at 10:54am
Joe Miller Danny, it is a different software altogether. For more detailed product information and free trial version, please visit the link below:

If you are unsure, please do not purchase the software.

Mikael Jaderberg Hi,

I dont know if I understnad this correctly. I have to pre-determine which folders will be "real" so the files I save will be saved after reboot ? Seems like a lot of rebooting will go on if you wants to save anything ? Very confusing to me, would be nice if it just shook off certain things, like changes to registry etc...

So if I use my driver update progeram and update a lot of drives andit goes wrong I can just reboot and not actually do the driver update and be protected in this manner ?
May 23 at 5:57pm
Joe Miller Mikael, There is no need for a lot of rebooting. Here is one way of using this program. If you have new drivers and not sure if they will work right or screw things up, turn on FileStream SafeShield to try installing them. If all goes right, turn the program off to install them again. This time it will stay. If anything goes wrong, then reboot will restore everything for you. This is one way of using the program to protect your computer.
FileStream, Inc. - May 23 at 7:02pm
Mikael Jaderberg Can I Activate/Deactivate the Safeshield back and forth without having to reboot in between ? If that is the case then this is clearly something for me.

If this is possible it means I can surf onto sites that seems "unhealthy" and after that switch the safeshield off to install a software I trust 100%. And if I reboot after this the dangerous surfing could do nothing to my computer and the software I wanted to install is installed ?
May 23 at 10:44pm
VLM Joe Miller - Good example, the underlying principle is very helpful. Thanks.
May 23 at 10:44pm
Brian H Hi- Quick question. Can one use "FileStream SafeShield" in they are also currently using "Rollback RX" program; or are the two separate programs "incompatible with one another? If a rep from FileStream, Inc. would kindly get back to me and let me know about this, it would be grealy appreciated. Thanks. :-) -Brian
May 23 at 11:10pm
Joe Miller Mikael, You can activate it at anytime without rebooting. To deactivate it, however, requires rebooting.
FileStream, Inc. - May 24 at 12:09am
Joe Miller Once activated, everything may be restored upon reboot after that point in time. You need to deactivate it to install 100% trustworthy software permanently.
FileStream, Inc. - May 24 at 12:13am
Joe Miller Brian, The two are two different software. It is not recommended to use both at the same time.
