wiseolowl - Despite the glowing reports from "Real Users" whoever they are, I installed this program on two computers. One is XP SP3 and the other Windows 7. Both of these computers are giving me no problems at the moment and this program failed to operate as described by said "Real Users". In fact it failed to open one DVD on either computer without presenting me with an error message and going no further.

One could consider and error message on one computer to be a local problem, but when the same performance emerged on the second machine I am left in no doubt we have a problem with the software.

They either work out of the box or they go in the bin. Make sure you try it and agree with "Real Users" before parting with your dollars.

Vicky White Yeah, I tried it to rip a DVD and it works well. I noticed that the version is 5.3, whereas a new version is available on their website. That's a good program

Guy Good I was reading the comment from Matt Zandanel under "Real Users" where he "borrowed some blu-ray disks from a shop" and converted them to WMV files. Isn't that illegal in most countries?

Good thing these names are aliases, because only a moron would confess to committing an international crime and then SIGN HIS *REAL* NAME!!

Stefan Hauber Having just checked your history-page: As it seems not about once a yearr, but every month a new version-number comes out: Starting with v1.0 at 30th November 2009 we are not at v5.4 at 24th Apr 2010,

So, when buyiing today, how long updates/grades are free? I suppose the next version 6.x will come out in some weeks. Have we to pay than to keep up-to-date?

You needn't pay to get upgrade in such a short run. Upgrading is totally free for at least one year. Since V5.4 is fully functional, we will slow down the frequency of upgrade. This is really a good opportunity to enjoy such a big discount, don't miss out!

Stefan Hauber Thanks Shawna, that's what I wanted to hear.

Just tried it out, but when reading in some DVDs - one commercial and one from my DVD-Recorder, i.e. definitively unprotected, I get the error message '1.00 is not a valid floating point value''. When trying to convert from the unprotected one I get some message-box-errors: 'read ffmpeg output error [5370]'.

Any ideas how to avoid this?

first I downloaded 5.3. After this floating-point error (no conversion tried with this version) I found out about new v5.4, downloaded it and finally rebootet my system. Same error again. Than I tried to convert, which brought up the mpeg-error.

Ronald Smit Instead of ripping a dvd I get hundreds (!) of errors per minute complaining about not valid floating point values. In other words: in a very short time I am stuck with a screen full of errors, being also unable to cancel the process :-(

I am sorry for that. Actually, we did have improved this problem in our latest version. In our test, we did not find this kind of error. So would you please send the snapshots of the error message to support@lekusoft.com, as well as the movie names? Then it will be easier for us to find the problem and fix it.
