PC troubles can take hours to days to repair. MagiCure eliminates the hassles and headaches of troubleshooting common PC problems by instantly returning the PC to hours or days before the onset of the problems. PC users can now recover their own PCs from any kind of failure instantly.

Once you install MagiCure Professional, the program starts creating daily restore points, or snapshots, of your entire system. If the PC ever encounters any troubles, MagiCure will rollback the system back in time to a previous healthy state in a matter of seconds; all the personal important files will remain safe. MagiCure’s exclusive Restore and Repair process is a simple, instant, clean, and fully effective way to undo any PC problems.

CNET Editor’s Rating 4.5 stars of 5 (Outstanding)
“MagiCure Professional is aimed at less-experienced users, since its goal is to simplify the process of protecting and recovering your system from a variety of failures. But it also offers plenty of capabilities for more-experienced users who are looking for a better backup tool...”

”...That's the essence of its promise: by taking a daily "snapshot" of your system, any revolting developments that harm your system can be rolled back to the last functional state, so you can carry on computing instead of facing downtime and support calls.”

Mark Schafer I have had very good luck with this software since I purchased it here back in Oct 2012, but I would not hold my breath waiting for any updates for it to work with Windows 8, if you read some of the past comments this update was promised as soon as Windows 8 would be released.
If you have no plans on using Windows 8 with this software I would recommend it.

J Hunter Lincoln When can I expect an upgrade so that MagiCure will run on Windows 8? I was very disappointed to find that I couldn't run it . I have been unable to run it for almost 3 months.

Randal H. "Upgrades to future versions of the software will be free for the lifetime of the product"

When is it going to be updated? It is now and has been since available at version 9.1. Granted it works well on Windows 7, but it is at least a couple of versions behind Rollback RX on which it is based.
Do you actually have any intention of ever providing updates?

Mark Schafer Randal H. IMHO I don't think we are ever going to see an update. I have e-mailed the vendor's so called support on more then one occasion and have been told "any time now"
Heck it has been version 9.1 for who knows how long.
I think when we bought this software they were trying get rid of the licenses that they had and they still got some left over.

Tim John To make matters worse, not only does MagicCure Pro not work with Windows 8, neither does Comodo Time Machine (CTM). Luckily I use Easus Todo Backup Home (the paid for version) which has the facility to take full system snapshots (not to be confused with restore points) but they have to be instigated manually as and when needed. I'll stick with this until CTM or MagiCure Pro work with Windows 8. May be a long wait!

Mark Schafer I agree Tim, I think we will be waiting & waiting for an update, but I wouldn't count on us ever seeing it. I think we are supposed to just go away they have already got our money.
If I am wrong about anything I have said, please tell me differently.

Tim John No, you're spot on Mark. Of course, this is only a Windows 8 issue. I'm sure that prospective customers on Windows 7 will have no problems (he said, protecting himself against potential retribution).

Andrew Tsai I believe many of such softwares are from 1 developer selling it to various vendors (each of them with slight modifications) for commericlal sales. Ayrecovery, Rollback Rx, Comodo time machine, Wondershare Space Shuttle, and another one I forgot the name of, that claims to be the sister company of Data Sys Horizon of Rollback rx. If you have tried any 2 of these, you will immediately notice tell tale signs of a common originator. Even the name of the main exe file is of the same name, AND if you right click on the exe file, Shield.for both Ayrecovery and Rollback rx to see the company that owns the file, you will not see any. (eg. Microsoft, VMware, etc.). There are many theories on who really originated it, each of them claiming ownership. I have my beliefs, but not convenient, and improper to share it here.

David Gilmour This product's screen shots look so similar to Rollback Rx by Horizon DataSys, that I assume that MagiCure Pro is a rebranding of that product. Is it? If not, what are the functional differences? If it is a rebranding, then Win 8 support must be coming soon, as Rollback Rx has supported Win 8, both 32 and 64 bit, since version 10, released in January.

Robert Tardif @ David Gilmour

I think the same as Mark Schafer (Sunday at 11:02am ).

There will probably not be any other update to this specific software : the vendor of MagiCure Professional has maybe bought a certain quantity of licences and when he will have selled them out, the whole thing will be over for him and this peculiar product.

We know that this vendor is aware of the actual sale on BitsDuJour because he already left an answer to Danny.

But Danny's comment is about the only one up tu date that is harmless to the vendor and its product.

I think its a question of honesty here that the vendor gives an answer to that simple question : will there be any updates in the future for MagiCure Professional ?

Lifetime Upgrades I am like most here, I have invested in this product previously and would have invested for another license, but am sitting on the edge right now as to put any more money into a software developer that has not had any type of updates in the past since the last promotion and has not responded to any emails in the past.

Can not think of a good reason to give money over to a company that has not produced. There are rumors already of Windows 9 being released in a year or so, and I just don't know if AvantEDGE Solutions is going to be keeping up with the industry.

judi bunner The fine print indicates this can be used on a desktop and a laptop but not at the same time. Does this mean it has to be uninstalled from one to use on the other one?

Garry Camps whilst i understand that updates arent very frequent and this version lags behind rollback rx, this is the same version and build number for over a year to my knowledge despite RBRx having gone through many different builds and updates and is now in version 10 after going through the alpha and beta stages. so when will magicure have an update to at least make it windows 8 compatible or version 10 as RBRx..

when asked in a comment here (when it was last on offer here) you said it was originally developed by yourselves and licensed out, and offered lifetime updates which in retrospect looks like a hollow promise that you never intended to honour.

judi bunner MagiCure Professional is licensed per computer, and not per user.
Each license allows installation on a single computer and a laptop, but MagiCure Professional may not be used at exactly the same time on each of them.
Please clarify. If this is licensed per computer why does it say computer AND laptop instead of or. I would appreciate a response about whether I have to uninstall from one computer to use on laptop.

Mark Schafer Last post on this product from me. IMHO I do not believe I or anyone will ever see an update to this product. I have been waiting patiently for several months now since Windows 8 has been released and told by e-mail several times the update will be free and ready to go anytime.
haven't seen it yet.
AvantEDGE Solutions Inc. give us a date for the update you keep promising.
1 month, 3 months or in your dreams which is it?

I still use the MagiCure on my laptop and other then a few problems when trying install software programs that refuse to install, but install fine after removing MagiCure it has worked fairly well and has helped me out a couple of times.
So I am not really saying the product is bad just the company who is IMHO trying to unload whatever licenses they have left.
Give us a date for the update!!

SoftCollector Dear all,

I was very intrigued by the lifetime upgrade option offered here with MagiCure Professional a few months back, and wondered why I had not been offered one with my purchase of the original product Rollback RX directly from the Maker, Horizon Datasys.

I contacted their support and had a somewhat heated discussion on the matter with a support representative and then with a manager. I was told: "No one has the right to sell our software with lifetime upgrades, and we do not offer such an option". They gave me a free license to make me happy, on top of the ones I already owned.

Currently, Rollback RX is at v10.

Kind Regards,
SC

Mark Schafer It is to bad that this company is allowed to do offer something that they had no intentions on being able to offer.
Like I said the product is working for me in most cases.
If you want to spend the 20 bucks for something that you will not be able to upgrade I say go for it at your own risk.
I have gotten many great deals here at BitsDuJour and really appreciate the service they are providing.
Hopefully AvantEDGE Solutions Inc. will just come right out and do the honest thing and admit to what we are ready know.

How about it AvantEDGE Solutions Inc. going to step up to the bat?

judi bunner This is most disappointing software. I have windows xp and really wanted this software. I had to delete my xp restores to install this only to find out it didn't give me a way to create restore points per the instructions. I had been using Recovery Commander and had to get rid of it as well. The icon in the tray disappeared each time I tried to right click to get menu. I re-downloaded 3 times thinking it was the download, and installed and uninstalled 2 times to no avail. This was on the trial version as I wanted to make sure it worked on my system before I purchased. I did all the prep work per the instructions prior to installation so I can't say why this didn't install correctly but I am not happy. It is supposed to work on xp, not.

Andrew Tsai There can be no update I assure you. Just like RollbackRx that promised update since several years ago, before their present update. Why? Simple, because they have no control of the developer of this product being sold by various vendors, all claiming they are the orginator. They are not! None of the vendors are. At present, rollback rx v.10 seems leading, with compatibility with Win8. But as I said, they are not the originator too, that is why they cannot really answer various questions on its development accurately. Just common sense will tell you that if you ask: Will there be an update to make it compatible with SSD and Win8, etc. They will not answer in the negative, but will just give an answer to make you continue hoping. Common marketing strategy.

Mark Schafer Very well put Andrew. I know there will be no updates. Like I said earlier they are just trying to unload the licenses that they have left.
Hey AvantEDGE Solutions Inc. drop the price down even lower to unload the licenses that you have left. Have a 2 for one sell instead of making false promises.
Have a great day everyone.

Marc Thom I too jumped at the chance to buy it discounted last time. With the promise of a Lifetime License and free updates it was foolish to miss out. Many of us asked here and encouraging answers were given. Yes license won't run out and yes you will get the upgrades for free.

Seeing as though other companies only offer a yearly rate I was excited to purchase. I thought because version 10 was on the horizon I'd wait for that before installing.
I hope my license key is still good as I haven't used it yet!

Although I haven't contacted AventEdge personally, it is worrying others seem to have got no response. I imagine like Horizon it is a very small company and support is very limited though.
Part of the reason I dislike RX is lack of support and also the outrageous pricing structure. Hence why I went for this.

Anyway this is a very usefull product and hopefully we will see a W8 compatible update soon. If you don't use W8 I'd recommend buying here before the offer ends. I'm not put off yet by the talk here but a bit dissapointed there's no upgrade yet.

linnie447 I purchased MagiCure Pro yesterday, received activation code. Tried to enter it, but it kept getting rejected. I also emailed MagiCure and received an instruction sheet from them. The instructions did not work, so my installation will expire in 2 weeks. This looks like a pretty good program. I need some help here!

Pavi Johnson @Mark,

Well, that is the Rollback Rx company, so I guess they don't mind selling OEM versions/licenses. I think it's a bad practice.

This offer is very sketchy, and it makes me suspicious of Rollback Rx as well.

Randal H. $21 is a great price for this software. If we are resolved that we may only be able to use it on XP, Vista, or Win7, and may never see an update, it is still a bargain at the discounted price. If there eventually is an update for Win8, well consider it a bonus. I think many who bought a licence likely did so based on the promise of lifetime updates. It definitely influenced me. I would never have bought a licence at full price. I also considered it might turn out to be, you know, 'too good to be true...' But, still, even for this version, it was much cheaper than the alternatives: Rollback RX, Eaz-Fix, etc.
At this price, you can buy 3 licences for the same money! And maybe someday, AvantEdge will come thru and we will all be smilin'

linnie447 MagiCure customer support heard my plea for help with excellent turnaround time. Activation code worked. Nice product. It reminds me of the old GoBack software that Norton purchased and discontinued.
This is much faster. I'm using Win 7 Pro. Thanks so much for a fine product.
