Mamutu
Behavior-Based Malware Protection
Mamutu is composed of the words 'malware' and 'Mutu'. The second word comes from the Maori language and means 'to stop'.
And that's exactly what Mamutu does: it terminates all types of malware.
Traditional security software recognizes malware using 'signature recognition methods'. In other words, they rely on algorithms to recognize the unique digital fingerprint of specific malware applications.
But what if the malware in question is a brand new variety of a particular virus or one that simply hasn't been fingerprinted yet?
Exactly! You're relying solely on the ability of the manufacturer to stay ahead of the endless spawn of viruses, bots, keyloggers, spyware, adware, dialers, trojans, worms, rootkits...
Do you still feel safe?
Mamutu is different. It doesn't use signatures to recognize dangerous software, but rather looks for characteristics and behaviors specific to TYPES of malware. This allows Mamutu to recognize and destroy old and new malware long before the signature databases in other security and anti-virus applications have even been updated.
