All updates for the current version will be provided for the life span of the product (e.g. update from build 2.5.201 to 2.5.202) free of any additional charges.

If we release a new version (e.g. ver 3) during your maintenance period then you will receive this version and all updates to it free of charge as well - even if your maintenance expire in the mean time.

If your maintenance has expired - as an existing customer we will offer you a discounted upgrade to any new major versions we release.

Each purchase comes with a minimum of 12 months maintenance that can be extended to 24 or 36 months at purchase time, or later as long as you currently have an active maintenance plan.

bob roos This is far and away the very best Viewer around. I have used the typewriter to fill in forms and printed neat documents. I have assembled pdf files from bits of other pdf files using the insert pages and removed pages that I didn't want with delete pages.

It is also my scan to pdf tool with email as an output option. RUN -- do not walk to get this when available. :)

bob roos You are welcome. There is one feature that I would like to see (or maybe I just missed it). A "wait" feature on the scan or print to PDF such that the document is assembled before it becomes a PDF file in the viewer.

IOW, Print job 1, instruct to wait, Print Job 2, Scan 1 page, instruct to "print". Now I have one PDF file in the viewer. I know ahead of time I want to assemble the pieces. Or is there easy way to say assemble all open docs into one?

As long as the document is not security protected - yes you can use the typewriter tool to type text anywhere on a PDF's page(s).

The current promotion is for the licensed version of the Viewer, and I am afraid that the PDF XChange 4 Pro promo was last week and you've missed it.

Have been using this excellent product since its inception and have found it to be an absolute must have utility, it is quick and light on resources (compared to Adobe Acrobat). I use this every day in preference to Adobe Acrobat CSX, in fact Acrobat becomes unregistered every now and then, along with the rest of the CS suite and i have to contact Adobe to re-register so it is not my favourite tool, however PDF-Xchange Viewer Pro is. Only one thing that i have not been able to do with it and that is rotate the stamps to different angles, i sometimes need to run a stamp from corner to corner, diagonally and alas can't do this, but that may only be a feature that few people need, i expect, other than that, FWIW, i highly recommend this software and the support supplied by Tracker Software.

M B Hello, I am a little confused here. It states on the Bits site here that we are purchasing PDF-XChange Viewer PRO. However, on your site it seems to be PDF-XChange Viewer...Non-Pro version.

Would you please clarify why it states Pro here but not on your site and what the difference might be?

Our Viewer is a single product, and most of it's features are free for use by anyone. The license on offer here today allows you to use some additional features like digitally signing document, adding/deleting pages, creating new PDFs from scanner etc. - and those are the "Pro" features your license will unlock. It also allows you to use our PDF XChange Lite printing driver - so that you can "print" to PDF from virtually any application that has a print button.

Anon Emous BUT - can you 'Save' the documents you've typed on - with - the info intact?

Those I teach -need- a PDF viewer - AND - one that allows for the fill in of Forms - AND - SAVE of those filled-in forms.

John Verbeeten PDF-Tools includes the Viewer PRO - but not vice-Versa, however if you buy the Viewer PRO directly - you do get the PDF-XChange Lite Driver included for making new PDF's from other Windows App's - you dont get this if you buy PDF-Tools directly (inlcuding the Viewer).

You can type on any open PDF not protected from
changes by the author and forms are usually not protected - and save them locally and modify later etc ...

Louis H Decisions Decisions!!!

I really want the Driver but also would like the other extras with PDF Tools.

This leaves me with the dilemma of waiting until the PDF-XChange Pro is offered again - which is never a given - and which I am unwilling to pay full price for - go for the PDF Tools at full price and continue to use a different program to create PDFs from other Apps - or go for what is behind today's curtain!

Sometimes too many options is not helpful. :)

Software Guy Sorry for my less than complete comments - the buy now button is on this page. the code is BDJPDFXPRO42012 if you run into trouble. the code works for exchange pro (the works) or this offer - viewer pro. You can add maintenance - meaning upgrades too - for additional years but that is not discounted. Remember that you get V3 with this offer. Also, if you decide to get viewer pro but find that you later need exchange pro or another version like tools, you can upgrade on the Tracker Software site at any time. And you can buy extra maintenance anytime in the first 13 months. Hope that helps.

On your chart it looks like the three lines starting from #1 "Merge PDF files" are repeated again.

There is some utility that tries to allow you to bookmark individual pages in a PDF, using a distinct URL. Is that a part of any PDF-XChange products ?

I like your Viewer in general, using it in Firefox, so I am considering expansion.

Right now I use Abbyy Screenshot Reader for taking a section of a PDF to text (no .rtf function). That one uses OCR, only. With this product I will have fonts and italics and bold kept, assuming it is a text PDF ? Can it do part of a document ? (It looks like an upcoming feature, so will it likely be coming up under this license ?)

Hmm... the choices are daunting.

Ok, I went the full Pro. Hopefully there are not any advantages over the Viewer alone (other than a smaller install) and that all viewing capabilities are included.

The extended maintenance covers new major releases as well (so you purchase ver 2 now and will get ver3 for free later this year).

For orders under 250 USD/EUR we do require an instant payment method to be used (Credit/Debit card or PayPal). We do not have access to your card details as those are handled by one of our payment processors (SWREG or PayPal) - and they are both with excellent history of protecting user data.

I might have not fully understood your question so if you can provide some more samples that would be great, but no such an online resource for bookmarking PDFs is not part of our products. Though if you have access to such a tool and it follows the PDF specification you should have no problems opening files modified by it in our Viewer.

If you purchased the full PDF XChange 4 Pro bundle it does include the Viewer and it's pro features as well.

VLM John, Thank you for your kind reply. It's not YOU having access to my information that bothers me, not at all. It's the processors and the banks behind the processors ... They are THE threat to personal privacy in the world today. Well, they, and the governments and other hackers that "access" their data.

Other vendors, who sell products here, use payment processors that make available a larger variety of payment options, FYI.
