You've always considered yourself immune to hard drive crashes - after all, your system came with a recovery disk that you could always use to restore the PC to its original state at any time. Plus, you keep all of your data on an external drive. What's the worst that could happen?

Then, one day, the worst thing that could happen, happens. Your drive crashes, and you think you'll be up and running in under an hour with your "recovery" CD. Only thing is, you bought your computer a couple of years ago, and when it comes back up, you're looking at an entire weekend of re-installing application updates, applications, driver updates - and that's if you can find where you stashed your installation disks. You'll never be 100% back to where you were! Now, if you had Perfect Image Professional, we wouldn't even be having this conversation.

Perfect Image Professional maintains automatic backups of your entire PC at all times. That means, in the event of catastrophic failure, you never need to reinstall Windows or any application! And in the cases of data corruption involving individual files and folders, Perfect Image Professional lets you restore exactly what you lost, no more and no less. Every single file on your hard disk - every photo, document, song, and application profile file, remains just as protected as your entire drive.

With Perfect Image Professional, your options are wide open as to where you want to store your backups. You can choose to save your disk images to USB, FireWire and other external, local or network drives, create bootable CDs and DVDs, or you can opt to create a special location on your hard disk for backup images. You can even burn 25Gb of data to a Blu Ray disc! It's completely up to you.

You use Perfect Image Professional's Backup Scheduler to tell the program how often you want it to back up your files, and also whether the program should perform full backups or only back up those files that have changed. When it comes to restoring from those backups, you can browse through your backup images and choose to restore the entire hard drive, specific partitions, all the way down to specific folders and individual files! Perfect Image Professional even helps you to create a bootable USB flash drive for recovery purposes.

I haven't mentioned the best scenario - NEW COMPUTER! When you unbox your sweet new machine, Perfect Image Professional makes it uber-easy to clone everything off of your old drive and transfer it over!

HJ B It should be required that every product description include a statement as to whether it is compatible with Win 7 64 bit. If a software provider has not tested the software with Win 7 64 bit, then the description should, at least, say so.

It is really a waste of time and a possible risk to the user's computer, to install incompatible software.

Jonathan Keener It does say under the "Buy Now" button, under Platforms, that it supports x64, I think that's what you are looking for.

Avanquest Software @Alan, yes Perfect Image is compatible with Windows 7 64-bit - you receive both a 32-bit and 64-bit version at purchase so you can install the appropriate version. The trial is only 32-bit however.
