What's your secret to organizing your Windows files? Do you keep all of your music files in one folder, and all of your documents in your My Documents folder? But what happens when you need another, more detailed level of organization? Seriously, when you think about it, the description 'My Documents' is about as helpful as a phrase like 'papers that are on my desk', which is to say, not very.
If you're like me, you like to store your online shopping receipts in a folder named 'Online Purchases', your work-related items in a folder named 'Work Documents' and so on. But this degree of organization takes a lot of effort - you need to constantly be on top of your files so that you can move them to their proper locations, and if you slack off, a small pile can quickly become Mt. Everest.
With RoboBasket, all you need to do is set up a few rules along with a processing schedule (daily, weekly, whenever), and RoboBasket will copy, move, rename and process files for you... automatically! Rules can be as simple as the file type (MP3, for example) and folder location, or can be beautifully complex with specifications regarding file sizes and timestamps. The rules are governed by boolean operators, so you can specify that files be processed if any or all of the rules are met.

FYI There appears to be a 'bug' with certain type of photos. RoboBasket failed to retrieve the EXIF data, in my case, from photos taken with a N95 phone camera. Also other metadata wasn't retrieved. I have already informed the author concerning thus matter.

When your first year of free upgrades expires, you are free to use the latest downloaded version of RoboBasket for as long as you want. It never expires. Looks good-the only thing I would add is a 'Create New Folder' option when viewing folders. Currently seems like I have to create a new one via Windows Explorer where necessary.
In addition, I would also add a more obvious 'Organize Now' button as many users especially at first may not schedule a job immediately. That said, I did buy a copy and it works nicely :-)
