SecureSafe Pro is a unique software solution for securely storing confidential information like passwords, credit card numbers and sensitive data in one easy-to-manage setting.

Your passwords are stored in a straightforward database tree that is very easy to search and navigate. When you visit a site you need to access, simply click the SecureSafe Pro icon conveniently located in your system tray, enter the access password, and bingo! Instant, secure login. Instead of having to remember dozens of passwords, you only need to remember one -- the one that logs you into SecureSafe Pro.

Unlike other password management software, you can safely store regular files inside the application. Each file can be securely launched right from SecureSafe Pro, and they won't be visible and accessible to anybody but you. Throw out those post-its and forget those confusing mnemonic devices, SecureSafe Pro has a better way!

Joe McCormick Does this program work with the Mozilla Sea Monkey Web Browser?
Apr 6 at 11:41am
Michael Rusakov Hello Joe, thank you for your question. Due to security reasons SecureSafe Pro does not fill web forms automatically - but at the same time it provides a convenient copy&paste functionality: when your password record inside SecureSafe Pro database has a web page provided, SecureSafe Pro displays a yellow banner above the password details. When you click on the banner, SecureSafe Pro copies the password to the clipboard and opens the web page. All you have to do is to paste your password into the password field.

The login field may also be copied from SecureSafe Pro, but in most cases it shouldn’t because all modern browsers autocomplete the login fields (and because the login field is usually the same for most online places, when the passwords without fail should be different).

Michael Rusakov Answering previous questions:

1. SecureSafe Pro is not limited to a number of computer where you can install it: you can install it on any number of computers for personal or business use of a single person per a license.

2. You can put a database file to a Dropbox folder (or use any other cloud syncing service) and SecureSafe Pro will work with the database. As developers we prefer Dropbox (http://goo.gl/OND5g - accept the referal link and you will get free extra space as a reward).

3. You can use SecureSafe Pro as a portable app: copy all files to a flash drive or any other folder and run SecureSafe.exe. The activation is requires only on the first computer. After the activation SecureSafe Pro stores all activation info inside a local file (securesafe.key, which will be stored in the same folder) and will not ask for activations even on a new computer.

4. Version 3.0 of SecureSafe Pro has been released a few days ago. The upgrade is free for all users running version 2.x. Existing registration keys are good for the new version.

5. SecureSafe Pro can store passwords, credit card data, secure notes (in a plain text), URLs and regular files (!). The files can be launched just inside the program.

6. There are no limits to how many entries you can store inside the program (the evaluation version limits you to 40 entries, including folders, the full version does not have any limits).

DrTeeth I use KeePass which seems to do everything that this program does, but for free. Could you please explain what advantages your program has?

Thanks

Michael Rusakov Hello DrTeeth, thank you for the question. The main difference of SecureSafe Pro against probably all other password managers is that you can store documents and files inside the program and launch these files just from SecureSafe Pro. In that case, SecureSafe Pro will monitor all changes and update the file.

For example, you can store a document (a .doc file). You may run it from the program and MS Word will open it. When you finish working with the document, SecureSafe Pro will update the file inside the database and delete the file from disk.

So we can have a real safe metaphor: you keep documents in a real (metallic) safe, you get them from the safe to work with papers and you put papers back to safe when you finish.

This feature is very useful. You can store not only documents, but any types of files. I personally store registration keys for purchased programs together with the installation packages. So for example if I need to reinstall Windows I have all database of the software with registration codes.

The other 3 features which KeePass is missing: SecureSafe Pro has special templates for storing Credit Card data, Notes and URLs.

DrTeeth @ Michael

That sounds great! Just a further question. As the licence is 'per user', can I install the program on ALL my computers at the same time? That is not too clear from the 'fine print' as it only mentions transferring a licence, which means removing it from one PC before installing it on another.

TIA

RC Byr Be careful. THIS IS NOT THE "TUNEUP" software.
It is only one module (the 1 click function).
I regret buying.

Michael Rusakov @DrTeeth, yes that's correct: you can install SecureSafe Pro on all computers where YOU work with the product. However if someone else is planning to use SecureSafe Pro, the additional licenses must be purchased.

DrTeeth Shame. I missed the offer. Does the program also securely delete the temp files at some point. Will have to wait until it is here again.
Apr 8 at 1:44pm
Michael Rusakov @DrTeeth, yes, the program deletes all temp files after you finish your work.
