The SoundTaxi Web Video Downloader automatically captures, downloads, and converts video from the internet, including Flash video, Windows media, Real Audio and Real Video streams, MPEG, Quicktime, and streaming MP3 files.

The SoundTaxi Music Downloader does the same thing as the Web Video Downloader, but for audio streams! Now you can search for and download music, finding any song and downloading it in just two clicks of your mouse. Plus, with the thousands of internet radio stations out there, playing your favorite music 24/7 - you can use SoundTaxi Radio Recorder to automatically record, sort, and tag your favorite songs! Just set it, forget it, and come back to a glorious library of your favorite songs and artists.

Finally, the SoundTaxi Media Suite offers you 1step DVDCopy, the easy way to make backup copies of your unprotected and protected DVD movies! Copying a DVD is as easy as pressing a single button, and the result is a complete duplicate of your movie in high quality output!

Peter Gabriel Well, this is one program I won't be buying. Installed the program and lost all sound. Still haven't managed to get it back.

Doug Atkinson I'm not familiar with Sound Taxi, but some of these programs add an additional sound device that is now used by default. If your system has problems with the driver, then you won't have any sound. Try going into the mixer utility and see if ypu can switch it back to your standard sound card.

Peter Gabriel Thanks for the advice. I traced the problem down to the fact that Sound Taxi had changed my default sound setting from 'Speakers' to 'Digital Audio S/PDIF'.

T Raynor SoundTaxi and many other programs do this. They will create so many sound devices that it is sometimes difficult to figure the one you should use. I also learned this the hard way before. Ramka has been good about creating a new key for me if I moved the program from one machine to the other. It also works well on Win7, better than on Vista BTW.

Tanya Black Hello guys, thank you for your comments and for your interest in our software. SoundTaxi only creates one sound device which is used for conversion purposes.

It doesn't conflict with the majority of sound card drivers, so you seem to have gotten unlucky there. We will look closer into this problem and try to fix it in the next version. Please, send us a bug report if you can support[at]soundtaxi.info
